I've been in this hotel 3 times and every time I have had a different idea. First visit: great place, nice rooms..The only problem was the smell of the restaurant. Second visit: horrible room, stairs to reach the toilette and bad smell coming from the same. Third visit: Room not good but not bad, Toilette very cold (a tornado was coming out of the window), smell in the corridor coming from the fish restaurant. The breakfast is Ok and it's a good compromise between international and Chinese food... Read more

Staying here for a biz trip I need to say the hotel have seen better days. Location is great as it is between the city center and Minhang District where I have to work. Rooms are old fashioned and the breakfast place feels more like a railway station. Other than that the rooms are cleaned well which is the most important for me during a biz trip.

The hotel is decent and certainly good value for money. It is not a five-star hotel but it is certainly comfortable. Room service is good, an excellent seafood restaurant (we had an incredible seafood buffet, mostly sushi but also with the most divine beef with foie gras), the staff are very good, especially the concierge, and the breakfast is fine. Wifi is good, great location.

I stayed here for three nights while on a business trip in April 2016. It is a good mid-range hotel in a nice and friendly looking neighborhood. Everything was OK in my room, wifi worked. Nothing special to remember. It is irritating that it still seems to be allowed in China to smoke inside the building (the bar).

The time seems to have stood still since my last visit three years ago. The negative aspects predominate today. The standard double room was superficially cleaned and the air was stale. The bed was worn out and the furniture outdated. Even a worse picture gave the bathroom with calcified installations. The free Wi-Fi worked hardly and the speed was pathetic. The breakfast service is poorly organized, total strangers at already occupied tables without permission is asked. The service is inatten... Read more

So this hotel is near the night life and also Jiao Tong University. There is a park across and that is a nice morning view. Not sure about centrality of location beyond that. It is one of the older hotels and the people here on the executive lounge are all smoking. Breakfast was more Chinese style - and actually I liked it - this hotel and the other I stayed In believe in a lot of sausages and bacon (i.e. Not fresh stuff) Wireless took a while to get to work. Needed to borrow their universal ada... Read more

If you are out to see Shanghai, this is a great place. Location has nearby access to the subway, shopping, and is just a nice area. The breakfast is impressive and delicious. No better way to start your day! We stayed two different times here during our visit, using three rooms total. The upgraded room was definitely better but all were fine. The bathrooms are stocked with the basics. No complaints and we would definitely stay here again. Important to request a non-smoking room if you do ... Read more

A historical hotel with great location. The front desk and doormen are all nice and responsive. The room is nice with the park view. The cleaning staff definitely needs more training. I stayed there for 8 nights. Day 1 - the cleaning lady left TV remote controller underneath the comforter, which took me forever to find it. Day 2 - my pjs were left on the couch, cleaning lady forgot to put them back after making the bed. Day 6 - cleaning lady forgot to refill Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Wash, et... Read more
