the hotel is well located in the center, with the subway station to/from the Pudong Airport being about 15 minutes away, good views, very rich and varied breakfast, helpful staff at the counter, free umbrellas on a rainy day, close to the Nanjing Street with shops and restaurants

This was a very standard hotel, and I would recommend it to those who are going to be out and about all day and just want a comfy bed to sleep in at the end of a long day. The hotel location is great, with convenient stores and restaurants right across the street (and a beautiful mansion!). Downtown is also just a quick cab ride away. Knowing the traffic in Shanghai, this is a huge plus! The price for this hotel is also very reasonable. The downside of this hotel is that there is no free wifi!... Read more

Non descript hotel with spacious and clean room. Location was a little off but it was expected given that the room rate is slightly lower than those closer to the train stations. It is a 30-min walk to Tianzhi Fang. There is a convenience store just across the road and not a lot of food & beverage options around the property. This is a hotel catering to business travelers than leisure ones. Wanted to use its indoor pool one night but was refused entry as I do not have a swimming cap. And I wa... Read more

Lobby area is very grand and modern. Hotel stuff is quite nice. There is a family mart right across the street great for grabbing essentials. It was about a 10 minute walk to the rail station/subway. It is a little hidden from Main Street's but not too big of a problem. Our room was on the 14th floor. The common area smells like cigarettes. The rooms R a bit dated and old. Our friend stayed in the 16th floor and his room was a lot nicer than ours for some reason although we payed the same price... Read more

We stayed here for a week. The hotel is basic, actually a bit dated and has a faint smell of 90s. The standard was nothing like what was shown on the web picture. So we upgraded and it was ok. The bed is rock hard, i could feel the wire of the spring on my back. We tried to ask for duvets to pad it up but were rationed one extra duvet per person. Otherwise the staff is helpful and the place is ok clean. The location is very central in the Jingan area. Tucked away in the quiet residenti... Read more

Staff is NOT service minded or helpful. Specially in restaurant and in business center. Breakfast buffet was disaster, all the time something was missing and staff did not react. Rooms are boring and old style. Also the location is not that good.

The hotel was very basic, but nice. A large, quiet room with great black out curtains. The hotel overall was very quiet. The breakfast was decent. It was a close walk to shopping and restaurants. The staff were helpful. My only advice is to avoid the spa that is connected to it. It smelled terribly of old smoke, and they tried to make me pay full price for a 60 minute massage that only lasted 45 minutes, and they refused to honor the coupon-which the hotel provided upon check-in.

First time staying at this hotel but not the area. Firstly this area is pretty safe with lots of people around. There are many places to eat, several main roads with lots of shops and metro stations near by. The hotel is fairly average based on others in the area, but I did get a good price on line. The rooms are slightly out of date décor wise, but they are clean, have the necessary room amities and the Wi-Fi worked reasonable well. Some people talk about Wi-Fi charges, but mine was free and i... Read more

Rooms: The rooms are simple, not recently updated. The first room we had was on a smoking floor, the next room smelled of mildew, and finally we ended up in a decent room. The air conditioning is not very strong, so all rooms feel a bit damp. They did not have a full bed available, so my wife and I stayed in twin beds. Breakfast: Decent. Nice rotation of different western and chinese breakfast foods over the course of a few days stay. Chef on-site to make omelets, eggs, or fresh noodles. Wi... Read more

Good price, good location. Close to eateries and the bus stop. Subway station is a couple blocks down. The room is average, needs updating, at least some repair. Nothing crazy just worn out. The breakfast was good, plenty to choose from. They will make you custom omlete. The front desk was very helpful and spoke English. Felt safe around the neighborhood, plenty of foreigners walking around.

Good price and quite convenient. Though need to walk a bit to Shaanxi South Road station. However along the way there are quite a number of cafes. Hotel is a bit old. Stayed in Deluxe room. Room size was acceptable. Breakfast buffet was still not too bad. The biggest problem we faced was the hair dryer - very old and weak hair dryer that took forever to dry long hair.
