People: 3 adults, 2 kids Room: 1 bedroom villa with club access Date: October 2015 Pros: - Close to the airport - Great location with spacious areas outside the room - Multiple pools - Kids slide and kiddy pool was fun and safe - Great servicing staff - Supermarket is very close by (but if you have grocery, it's a LONG walk) - Kids club is very hidden, but it's a great, enclosed place for kids to play at, both in and outdoor - Club access provide breakfast, high tea and dinner, with unlimited ... We went for just a few days, planning to just stay on the property and relax, so we splurged on a suite with club access. Definitely worth it. Entire hotel was nicely designed and maintained. Lots of young Chinese families with their (well-behaved) kids. The club was very good, with solid, tasty food for both afternoon tea and happy hour. We used it a lot, especially for a drink after a swim. Biggest surprise, and biggest negative, was the fact that ocean swimming is forbidden. You can w... Read more

I attended one friend wedding at this hotel, it is really a nice and luxury hotel espcially at the restuarant, my kid love to spend the time to see all the fish, turtle, ect. and they have a very big kids play area. you can get some of your time while the kid play there... good choice.

Hotel is beautifully designed. There is a duty free mall just a short walking distance away, but keep in mind items are not that much cheaper. I really liked the underwater aquarium restaurant! Food was mediocre but it is a nice experience. At around dinner time (I went approx. 7-8pm), there were scuba divers playing with the creatures inside the tank. I liked that this hotel was close to the airport.

We used to go to the other Intercontinental in Sanya, but this time we choose this one because we were looking for a nice beach and sea. The hotel structure itself is gorgeous and rooms comfortable, big green spaces, 4 restaurants.... But it is too much deployed to local tourist needs and habits, and that is the point we did not like as we were looking for an "international " hotel!

It is very important to pick the right hotel in Sanya as much of the city closes fairly early especially off season (the key Sanya season seems to be Xmas due to the very hot summers) and this resort had pretty much everything you could want, is family friendly and have excellent staff. Particularly recommend the Chinese restaurant. Room was lovely, very modern and clean. Staff could have more awareness of the area but they have good knowledge in the concierge. Pools were great, the beach ma... Read more

We stayed there for a weekend and the pictures and area seems to be perfect for a short time to relax. The hotel promotes with a free shuttle bus, unfortunately the bus goes only twice a day. So in the end you need to take the taxi anyway. At the hotel we were told that breakfast is not included even tho we originally booked with breakfast. For the payment their machines didn't work to accept MasterCard and also the ATM didn't work. We got a lovely room and in the room they promoted a mojito... Read more

This was our second leg for our four day trip in Sanya. Originally booked a room here because both my wife and I really like modern hotels. The hotel has a very interesting layout. All the rooms on all floors are sea view rooms. Its basic one very thin build with just one row of rooms on each floor. At the time of checkin, the room that we had originally booked for had been sold out so they upgraded us to the junior suite which was great. The suite was enormous, it was ~1200 sq ft (110 sq m) in... Read more

We ll go there again - thats for sure...! Impressive Hotel, nice service - park an environment really nice - but I did not expect to find a lonely - i mean lonely - beach in China... super clean, super clean water - loved it! The hotel has diff type of jetski - quite powerful - and offers other watersports activities. The bikes they offer - sorry no option - please renew! except one all old and dangerous (brake wire slides when tried it) - zero points! The roof top daily invitation at tea time a... Read more

This is a wonderful property. Our room was exceptional, my wife and I were very impressed. The General Manager was kind enough to upgrade us from a standard room to and executive room. However, we were somewhat confined to the resort for the first few days without access to most of the amenities due to typhoon Sarika, which through no fault of the resort, left us very bored. I was quite disappointed with the room service. This is not an "English speaking" friendly facility. I called down ... Read more
