At time of visit this hotel was great in terms of rooms, amenities and friendly staff. Affiliated with the Intercontinental next door so able to use the gym there. Breakfast was good standard buffet though not amazing. Nice grounds/ landscaping and mountain back drop.

We staied at room 521 which is a nice villa area, good for relax, all the set up is boutique and cute. Also near the ancient town, around 10 min walk. Beautiful and quiet hotel even walk around the hotel itself a mini tour!

I stayed here with my 11 year old son and a friend. It was amazing. The decor is soft modern with lots of horse theme decor, to honor the horse based trading history of the area, as the ancient tea trading routes crossed here. The rooms are huge and have a courtyard. The bath is a large soaking tub. The brought my son kid sized slippers and a special kids toiletries set. I highly recommend it to any family. It would also be a great place for couple to stay.

In honor of the ancient tea horse trade the hotel is decorated in an equine theme. Lamps, saddles, horse statues seeming to go through walls are really cool. Super attentive staff. Neighboring its sister large and modern hotel Intercontinental this establishment is more quaint and deserves its 5 stars. Note some 2nd floor rooms with enough steps to lose your wind but worth it when you check out the views from your room and bath tub.

I am a luxury hotel enthusiast and quite satisfied with my stay in Indigo Lijiang. It is my very first time to try Indigo of IHG group and I believe it is beyond my expectation. Location: Super great! At the southern entrance of Lijiang ancient town. Very close to the town but far away from bustle and hustle area. Staff: Friendly and professional. 2 days before my departure, I received a text message from the Niki of Indigo Lijiang. She asked for my arrival time and my preference of the room... Read more

Very nice suite, very large bathroom, bedroom and living area. right at the entrance of the old city. No breakfast though. Exceptional comfort, but exceptional price as well. Worth the spoil!! We will return.

We loved this hotel and Lijiang old town! The hotel is designed in a resort style. Lijiang used to be a main stop for the horses and traders on the Silk Road so the hotel is designed around the horse theme with saddles seats in reception and horse shoe hooks in the bathroom, very detailed and creative design. The grounds are also beautiful and well maintained with high level of security at the gate. The facilities are shared with Intercon next door but I think being a smaller resort it feels qu... Stayed here recently for 3 nights. Location next to the old town was excellent. Rooms were spacious, well appointed and bed was very comfortable. What really stood out in this hotel was the quality of the staff. Friendly, knowledgable and very helpful and were willing to go out of their way to be of service. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Location is near the south gate of the old town and it's an easy 10 min walk into the heart of the old town

The Hotel Indigo is adjacent to the InterContinental and provides an excellent base from which to explore the Ancient Town. My room was spacious and well-appointed; great bathroom and overall, extremely comfortable. Staff were friendly but late dinner F.& B was a bit lacking at the time of my stay. The Hotel Indigo is a refreshing alternative to the InterContinental in terms of accommodation but the InterContinental has more extensive facilities which can thankfully be shared with Indigo guests

We had a very short stay at the Indigo, too short, sadly: we arrived late in the evening, much later than expected, after a LONG day of hassled air travel in China where delays are endemic, and we left (reluctantly!) after breakfast the next morning. We wish we could have stayed longer in this gem. The room was as luxurious and comfortable as it could be. We like our bedroom cold and the a/c did its job, quietly and efficiently. The bathroom sparkled, everything working like a charm. And br... Read more
