NI HAO!! Nested in the ramparts of the ancient city of leijang it's a really beautiful property with really reasonable price. The rooms in style of cottages are excellently plush and comfortable amenities. A tip is that their spa is a must visit . It's a place for a perfect holiday with a indulgence to pampering one self. Don't miss a walk through the ancient town

We were on a Kunming, Dali, Lijiang holiday and the Intercon Lijiang was by far the best hotel not only compared with similar class hotels in the other 2 cities during this trip but compared with similar hotels in many other cities in China where I have visited both for business and pleasure. The first thing you notice are the beautiful grounds and decor. The hotel is located right next to the famous old city of Lijiang which is a UNESCO site and the rooms are in "houses" of 4 rooms each (2 up ... Read more

Very friendly service. Great location. Would love to stay here again when in Lijiang. Good choice for breakfast. Had dinner at Basil Restaurant and was happy with the food. The whole place is just so picture perfect!

This is an incredible hotel; it is beautiful to look at, is well located next to the old town and it just oozes STYLE. It is very Chinese and perhaps Naxi (local tribe) in particular. The design, detailing and materials are all first class. The layout is based on a central reception and restaurants and the rooms are in Pavillions close by. This allows the creation of beautiful landscaped areas all round.

Stayed in this amazing hotel for three nights in April. I wish I could just stay here and never leave!! I had the ground floor room which was simply luxurious. Couldn't have asked for more. There's a short cut to the ancient city from the back of the hotel, which is very convenient ... with lots of shopping, restaurants and bars. Definitely one of the best hotels I've stayed in my travels around this region!!

This is a well equipped resort hotel with rooms located away from the main building so you will need to use the umbrellas they supply if it is raining. All the staff try hard to please but communication can be difficult with many not strong in English and that should be expected. One exception is Sophie in the restaurant who is delightful, efficient and fluent in English. One tip - if you need to do a little hand washing it will dry quickly overnight in the shower. We would stay here again.

A truly fabulous hotel located right next door to LiJiang's Old Town (in fact there is a direct North Gate entrance at the back of the resort). We were very pleased with the incredibly efficient front desk teams at both hotels and want to call out the gracious, attentive service from Tulip in the restaurant who was especially kind to we two weary travelers who made us feel right at home :-) Fabulous architecture and attention to detail across the entire resort....the hotel lounge was particular... The hotel is located right by one of the gates of Lijiang old town, where we had our afternoon walks and nights strolls. Lijiang old town, despite having its commercial taste, is incredibly and overwhelmingly beautiful. The architecture, facade, interior, and layout of the hotel buildings blended perfectly with the thousand-year old ancient town but with desirable touch of contemporary design - it is one of the most beautiful modem oriental architecture I have seen in China. We slept with our w... Read more

Amazing resort! Love the design blending traditional architecture and modern comfort! International 5 star standard in the old town! (other lux resorts are outside and needs to commute...) Great breakfast and stunning view on the jade dragon mountain!

This is a truly amazingly beautiful resort hotel, a scenery of Lijiang in its own right. The architecture, landscaping and interior design are beyond 5 star. The room and bed is spacious and super comfortable. The delicious buffet breakfast has a huge variety of choices, including western and local Yunnan. The service desk staff are polite and helpful. However, it has space to improve as compared to tropical resorts I have stayed. - I hoped to watch high quality authentic Yunnan singing an... Read more

Location first: front door on the street (meaning you can reach with a taxi), back door with direct access to the old town (walk through pedestrian streets). Hotel is perfectly maintained, rooms are large and well equipped, the concierge team is especially diligent (for organising any tour in the region). Lastly the Chinese restaurant is in my opinion the best in town (better than Hyatt) - with lots of fusion type options, a great service & a wine list which stays reasonable in terms of price. M... Right next to the Lijiang ancient town, it makes an ideal hotel to book in Lijiang. The rooms are delightful and spacious, with good service. The public areas are spacious and luxurious. Quite expensive though! Rather book sightseeing tours through local travel guides.

This beautiful hotel is located at the edge of Lijiang Old City, 3 mins walk from the famous South Gate. The room is huge and beautifully decorated. There is air-conditioning in the room which is not a standard feature for many other hotels in the old city. The scenery of the garden is beautiful, like walking in an old town without the crowd and shops, peaceful and quiet. The location is very convenient. You can easily find modern shops and transportation from the front entrance. Via the back en... Read more

Stayed here for a company meeting . A short 30min from the airport. But already at 2000m elevation so the body needs adjustment Hotel is beautiful : the architecture is modeled to blend in with the ancient town next to it. The decor is tasteful and designs blend with local culture . There are also beautiful local paintings around the hotel which I appreciate At check-in, not sure if it's because my company used the group check-in , the front desk ignored my Spire status. Doesn't feel nice to... Read more

The best intercontinental resort hotel I've been to over the last 10 years. Spacious grounds with its own Chinese style garden, indoor heated pool, Thai-style spa pavilion, beautiful lounge and all the classy and luxuriously appointed duplex ancient style houses as hotel suites. The good quality food served in the western and Chinese restaurants give excellent respite from the often-oily local fare. We upgraded to club status and had a lot of help from the hotel staff, Who remembered our names,... Read more

Although a wee bit pricey for Lijiang, the rooms are modern and spacious, the restaurants are very good, and the feel of the place is compatible with the adjacent Old Town of Lijiang. Can't go wrong with this choice.

We are glad to stay in this resort for two nights because it meets our high expectations in terms of ambience, room interior, amenities, and most importantly the hospitality of staffs. The staffs are very helpful, polite and trying hard to help despite average English capability. The resort facility is excellent and proximity to beautiful Lijiang ancient city is a big advantage. We will return to stay at Intercontinental Lijiang.

This modern facility was an excellent choice. Located next to the old town, it is well placed. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. All that we met spoke good English. The room was clean and comfortable. Our room gave us access to the club lounge, which was super. This is one of the best.

I stayed in Club Continental type of room. It wasn't much bigger than normal room. But the benefits were good. Though the hotel surroundings are great. The decorations are great. Heated indoor pool. Great location. Breakfast was great. Staff was not so attentive. Food at Chinese restaurant was just ok comparing to Hilton Beijing. The room was lack of maintenance. I used the bath tub and when i released the water. The bathroom flooded as the pipe was leaking. It means that they never cleaned th... Read more

This is a very charming hotel with ancient style bungalows or buildings. I guess the city is not that big so most attractions seem to be within walking distance. Room is kind of old but staff is very friendly. This would be the place to stay if you are visiting Lijiang.

I was fortunate to stay at this hotel for an extended period in Oct 2016 on a business trip. The hotel is spread over a large area with 50-60 mini apartment blocks. My block was nearest to the main building and had 4 rooms (2 on each floor). My room was extremely spacious and had all the amenities expected for a 5* hotel. The whole complex is laid out to simulate the style and architecture of the nearby Ancient City. Guests are ferried to their apartments in "golf buggy" people carriers through... Read more

I went with my wife and two kids plus the parents in law and stayed in this beautiful hotel for three nights. The way this is build is very good. Service is attentive and pleasant. Cannot be more convenient to reach the old town specially the back door with a pleasant guard opening you the gate at anytime to go out or to come back. Very charming place with an outstanding breakfast. We will be back if we come to Lijiang soon..

Given the fact that we were booked for 3 days in an very bad hotel ( Palace Hotel / Wangfu ) we moved after one night to the Intercontinental. What a pleasure to arrive in a clean charming hotel after such a bad experience. The hotel fits very well in this old town will many separate buildings. Breakfast room was fantastic ( high quality food ) with a beautiful view on the mountains. Good service and an oasis of quality.
