Things we liked: - Provision of Handy, a mobile phone which allows you to make local and overseas calls, as well as surfing the Net. Very very useful when on the road. - Helpful and friendly staff; - Design of the rooms (esp the "Greater" room, which is almost double the size of a "Good" room; - Lots of storage space and power points available. Location of the hotel may be a bit hard to find, as the entrance is located in a small lane. However, you will be able to spot the hotel from a distance... Read more

The hotel is good. BUT.. far away from MTR station and its hidden. Not too hard to find but it will not suit travellers with children. And its a joke to pay for the "Better room" basically they tear down the wall between 2 rooms and make it into a "L" shape bigger room. So When you thing you are paying more for a better room, the answer is NOope. What you get is 2 toilet and 2 shower room and 2 TV. And a broken hole on the floor which they are too lazy to fix but cover with a carpet.

I have to admit that I was hesitant to stay at a boutique hotel in Hong Kong as I can't speak Cantonese or Mandarin, but I was pleasantly surprised by Residence G. For some reason I was under the impression that chain hotels were more likely to have staff fluent in English (I was wrong). Hotel staff were friendly and accommodating and called taxis and gave directions, no problem. I loved that each room comes with a Handy smartphone that you can use for local calls or as a hot spot for wifi whe... Read more

The Residence G oozes cool-factor for the young, trendy and artsy urban traveller. We stayed as a couple for an urban escape to HK to visit friend, and selected the hotel for its modern design esthetic and clever functionality in the usual restricted spaces of Hong Kong living. We were impressed and very satisfied by our choice of hotel. Room: "Greater" room selected, and was nice to have extra small space, with a table and stools (though not incredibly comfortable, was trendy and fun, and if... Read more

As a traveler and interior designer , I have to say this is an excellent design hotel. What good about it : I was staying Greater King Suite,it is a very spacious room size around 41 sqm and comfortably layout in each space. It came with two entry , one living room(a high table with four barstools for dining or drink/ a small wood bench) ,two separate sink ,two separate toilets ,two TV , one shower room and great city view from your bedroom.Very functional and thoughtful detail for guest. It mak... Read more

We spent one night in the hotel. We appreciate the design of the hotel room which is cozy and stylish. The bar table is a special feature which allows us to chillax with drinks and the movable big TV is a big plus. Unfortunately we have found serious problems in its housekeeping. We found used underwear and socks in the wardrobes. We also found black spots on bed sheet, pillow covers, flip flops and rust marks on body towels. The little glass bottle filled with complementary M&Ms were apparentl... Read more

The owner of the hotel and his staff were very nice and helpful to us when we stayed there December 2014. We got luckily upgraded to a suite since the standard room we booked were taken before we checked in the hotel. The room was clean, spacious enough and well equiped. From the notes, candies, bluetooth speaker, dedicated local cell phone and other small amenities, you can tell the owner's attention to details and care for the guests. The only problems were that one of the two bathrooms ha... Read more

We stayed for 8 nights in this lovely loft-like boutique hotel. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, even when we arrived at 01.30 am! We booked the 'good room'. Everything you need is there. A very comfy bed, stylish design, a dedicated local cell phone you can bring outside with nice tips and trips, nice walk-in shower, seperate toilet, just to name a few. The room was clean and the housekeeping was on top of every need. The location is very good. You are in the middle of Tsim Sha Tsui,... Read more

Really loved Residence G. Not your typical old school hotel. Instead a well designed, quirky and considered space. The room was spacious, very clean and quiet. Super comfy bed, lovely shower and sitting area. The sitting area could definitely do with a seat pad, for the timber bench seat is not very comfortable. First time to be offered a hotel mobile phone for the duration of stay. Brilliant idea. Great for wifi and google searches! Located in an excellent area, which is close enough to the bea... Read more

Mostly positive - convenient location, cool industrial design, quite spacious for a HK hotel, and they provide a free mobile phone equipped with wifi for you to use around town. The only downside was that when we arrived there was no toothbrush or toothpaste in our room - and when we asked we were told that they had run out and the next batch hadn't arrived yet. For the price we paid (about 700hkd including tax) I thought this was pretty poor service - the least they could have done is go down a... Read more

We've stayed again at this very nice place that Residence G is (last time was two years ago). Again, the stay was very good from the start (we were upgraded to their Very Good Room). The space is huge. Breakfast buffet was good as well. Thanks again for everything. We'll be back ASAP for sure !

I love the flooring, with five big glass doors or windows, that I can see sunlight and night city light through the curtains. It has a comfy bed, with two handy TV and air-conditioning remote controls.

Hotel is quite new. Room design and decor are comfort.Overall, service is acceptable. However, air conditioner is toward your face and a bit noisy. The worst is location which is far from train station. You would be sweat and dizzy walking under 32 degree c from train station. It took al least 15 mins. Not recommand if you have going out frequently.

This place was fantastic, we did get upgraded which was a wonderful surprise to a massive suite. So after the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong' s streets it was so nice to come back and relax with so much space . Your right in the thick of it here with trendy cafes and restaurants just down stairs. Inside the rooms is also very trendy and cool. Will definitely stay here again, thanks to all the staff also who were really helpful and friendly.

This is my 3rd stay at Residence G. Had no problems during my previous stays. unfortunately , our last stay was horrible. they have serious housekeeping issues. had stayed for two nights. room was not properly cleaned. no fresh towels, unwashed glassware and the receptionist was cold, unpleasant and unapologetic.

We enjoyed our stay at Residence G, as usual. We like this boutique hotel because of its human size, a welcoming team which knows their customer and their habits, nice design, the size of the rooms, the lobby which feels like a living room with great music playing, good internet, its restaurant Scarlett downstairs with good food and affordable pricing. Just missing the delicious breakfast that do no longer exist at Scarlett...

Hotel staffs are always ready to assist you and special thanks to Nicolas who had assisted me to get my package shipped out by FedEx. (sorry took me so long to write this review). Loved the quirkiness of the hotel down a little side street so nice and quiet but not to far from all the attractions you need. Would love to stay again. Had a "Greater room" which appears to be two standard rooms which have been joined at some point. Best bits: The free smartphone with unlimited data during your stay. Excellent resturant one of the best I have ever been to seems to have French manager and chef?

RESIDENCE G HONG KONG is managed by the friendliest staff I have ever encountered. They are cheerful in their attitude and always available. The rooms are functional even if a little snug. They are well equipped for a comfortable stay in pleasant surroundings. I will re visit this Hotel on my next trip.

Residence G offers something that few hotels in Hong Kong do - comfort, space & quirky design supported by real staff, not just employees following formulas. Also refreshing is the terrace on the third floor - very relaxing with a cup of coffee.

Rooms were way too small, very difficult to find and absolutely no knowledge at front desk. When we asked about shuttle service for trade show they had no idea and texted her manager for answer. We were advised there were no shuttle only to find out that there was one about 8 min from our hotel/motel. This hotel is equivalent to a motel US standards.

Getting to this hotel from the airport was very easy by train and shuttle bus with the bus drop off in Kowloon, and then a short walk to the hotel. Though a map would have been an advantage from the bus drop off. Hotel service was very friendly and staff assisted promptly and courteously with any queries. The room was quiet and clean, bed was very comfortable, plenty of clean linen supplied daily. Restaurant was very good with friendly service. Breakfast was had elsewhere. Hotel was centrally l... We arrived to find that the hotel reception is located on the 3rd floor. The receptionist spoke English and could not speak Cantonese, which was fine with us. A pleasant surprise, we were upgraded to a suite and found out the Hotel offered a light breakfast next to the reception area between 7 am and 9 am. This included coffee, milk, juice, danish and fruit. We were in suite 601, which offered hardwood floor and 1.5 washrooms. there was a nice large centre island as we walked into the room. Al... Great location, modern industrial decor. Compact but ample so long as you don't mind bumping into each other moving about in such a confined space. Staff need to better communicate what is included - we didn't know free light breakfast was included and trained better - housekeeping missed water bottles, tea bags and toilet roll on different days.

I got the room with the extra bed and it was perfect for our trip to Hong Kong. Once you check in on the third floor, you dont really ever go to the front desk after that. The hotel provides you with complimentary water and a cell phone in the room. With the cell phone, you can use as a mobile hot spot while you travel all through Hong Kong (what a great idea for foreign guests)

Modern hotel, nice design, good location, but i must say a bit to expensive for the small room that they offer, but if we compare prices in HongKong are extremly high. Its difficult to find first as it is on a small street, but you are at 500m from the river, metro and main avenue. You have to have a drink at the Scarlet bar, and try the food anda tapas, Frech style.

Took A21 airport express bus to the Science Museum stop (stop18) and it was less than 5 min walk to the hotel. Walk towards the direction of the traffic flow and turn left on the one way street right before the church. The hotel is on the opposite side of the street. The inclusive continental breakfast was sufficient to start the day. The room was small and there was not much room to move around for 2 people but the room was well designed. Stayed here for 5 nights while visiting hong kong. The prices for the hotel are reasonable and our room was clean and trendy. The hotel has a very good industrial vibe and has a bar at the bottom you can use. The prices for the mini bar are good and the hotel puts on a small free breakfast of orange juice and pastries each morning which was nice. The hotel is about a 5min walk from Jordan station or a 10min walk from TST station. I would happily stay again.

Really beautiful place. The hotel was beautiful. The room was huge, we got the greater room. It has bar, two tvs, two phones. Comfy room and only downside would be the shower room because the walls were transparent glass so while one person showers we had to stay in other side of the suite. I guess adding a tint on the glass wall would be helpful. Also a bidet on the toilet would be helpful. But seriously it's a lovely hotel. It has a nice view of the City.
