With a group of 16, stayed at Mission hills Dongguan. Room was geat - ideally next time would love a view of the Olazabel course. We were in 1020 and had a nice balcony, and nice view of the mountains. Rooms have everything you want on a golf trip - limited English speaking TV, but you're there for the golf and frivolity! Must go place is the Korean Restaurant and have the Korean Grill and Kim Chee Hot Pot - was a great meal. Melange bar - two of the best staff I've ever seen - Linda who ... Read more

We came back to Mission Hills Golf Resort a second time as last yea's trip was great. This time we stayed in their Dong Guan hotel and I must say the rooms were much larger and better. Service was generally good except that there were not many people who could speak english. It is very convenient for golfing as all we needed to do was to head down to the golf reception close to our tee times and they will have our bags all prepared.

This is my second visit to this complex with the first some 3 years prior. Stayed 10 nights with 8 games of golf. Superlatives do not do justice to the accomodation and courses. Just fantastic. Had absolutely no problems at all during the stay and found the staff very helpful. Good food, great courses, excellent caddies and just a golfers dream. Very very highly recommend for golfing tragics like myself.

In mid April, I, along with four friends and another 39 members of my Golf Club from Rosebud in Melbourne, Australia travelled to Mission Hills Golf Resort via Hong Kong. After a two hour RV ride through the China Border we arrived at Mission Hills and quite honestly, even though our expectation had been set by our tour leaders, we were blown away. What an exceptionally well appointed & marvellous hotel facility, all the rooms were very large and luxuriously appointed. We were lucky enough to ... Read more

About the food there are plenty of choices but I like the lobby bar in special, the staff is really nice.

We were staying at the hotel for 4 days of golf. I had a room overlooking the golf course. The room was a very good size with a very modern bathroom and large deck where you could sit outside. The restaurant that is used for breakfast is a bit of a barn and needs something to make it feel more homely especially if you are dining at night.

A recent visit had our group booked to play the Greg Norman course but on arrival at 1st tee found 3 groups on the fairway and 3 groups waiting to tee off - management had no idea and had kept accepting bookings for this course way beyond the capacity of the course. Course marshals also failed to do anything about 'slow play' with groups backed up throughout the afternoon and 6 hours the order of the day. Resort management was exceptional when Asst. Guest Experience Team Manager Ms Julia Perez w... Read more

I am a big fan of the mission hills resorts, probably because I'm a golfer. Great resort, great hotel, good value with great services. Hotel: Arrived the hotel around 2-3 pm, but this time, the hotel room is not ready. That's why when we went up to the room, the staff was still cleaning up the room. (a little bit disappointing as we need to wait for an hour more and walk around) The hotel room is huge, with its own walk-in closet, balcony and mini-living area. If you are a non-golfer, there ... I have been to Mission Hills Dongguan probably close to 10 times for business and with family. This time we went for a night at the beginning of the Golden Week holiday with my wife and daughter. First of all, this place is way faster the get to then it used to be. There was no road work like there has been previously and a highway the whole way from Shenzhen, so it only took about 35 minutes from the business area of Shenzhen to the hotel. As everyone says, the area is really gorgeous.... Read more

I don't usually bother with reviews however for the sake of others, I will this time. I have stayed at many hotels all over China and while many have their issues, this one by far (for the cost and rating) is the worst. Customer service is terrible. For a place that tries to cater to foreigners, maybe 1% of the staff speak English and nearly all of the staff (with the exception of one courteous lady) were very unhelpful and many downright rude. The hotel is pretty isolated so you are limited to ... Read more

This property claims to be an exclusive golf resort catering to the international clientele, but the staff there can hardly communicate in English. I stayed there for 6 days and over this course of time, I found it hard to get any request processed without a lot of back and forth. There was one service person named Julia Perez. She was very helpful though. The food choices there are far less than adequate for a resort of this standard. The staff in the kitchen seemed less than enthusiastic to m... Read more

Mission Hills is a beautiful facility that makes you feel relaxed and at home. The facility itself includes 12 golf courses and amazing support facilities The Hotel staff works hard to be accommodating. Due to the size of the facility you need to be aware oft eh distance between building and courses. The conference center is a growing part of this facility. There are several food options within the hotel and they offer good dining options. Specials and the various restaurant chalices make this... Read more

For a golfing holiday, Mission Hills Dongguan is brilliant. Five rounds of golf on five different courses in five days, talented caddies. Absolutely fantastic. There was a large variety available at breakfast, and the Chinese restaurant in the complex is worth a visit. Otherwise, the food and restaurant music is very Westernised - the way the band belted out Abba songs etc at full pelt with no break ended our attempts at conversation the first night. We went elsewhere after that. Coffee drinke... Read more

I had the pleasure of staying at both Mission Hills hotels in China. One in Shenzhen and the other in Dongguan. Although both are equally amazing and beautiful, I have to say, the service at the Dongguan location was absolutely the best. One of the managers, Julia Perez, was professional, polite, and made sure we had an excellent experience. It doesn't get any better than this. Beautiful resort, clean, comfortable beds, large rooms and excellent service. I would absolutely recommend this hotel.

The hotel is listed as 5 star but in my opinion lacks some of the facilities one would expect in a 5 star hotel. The restaurant is adequate but there being just one restaurant in the hotel and that more of a bar restaurant with a limited menu could be improved. Having said that the hotel staff are very friendly and easy to work with. Special mention to Linda in the bar/restaurant, no idea how she manages to remember everyone's name but she does and makes everyone feel very welcome. The golf was ... Read more
