Thanks to my employer and a business assignment in Chengdu, I've been lucky enough to stay at this AMAZING hotel twice in the past four months, for a total stay of six weeks. Wish I could move here! The Ritz Carlton is one of the world's best values - total luxury and superb 6 star service at very reasonable prices by international standards. The property is located in the heart of downtown Chengdu, close to the city's new and easy to use subway lines, and in the center of dining and shopping.... Read more

Highly recommend for business and family travelers alike. Great spot to explore the wonderful offerings of Chengdu. The staff at the Ritz Carlton Beijing took great care of our family, from the moment we arrived. Their Ritz Kids check in was sweet, and helped our little ones start settling in. The bedroom was well set up, and this was the first hotel I've stayed in where they actually set up the crib before hand (usually we request one at the time of booking, but end up arriving and the hotel ... Participated in a conference here. Excellent meeting rooms are equipped with advanced facilities. The room is spacious with a large French window and a luxury bathroom. The interior design is modern and elegant Bed and beddings are comfortable. All modern facilities and amenities are available. WiFi is free and fast. All staff are extremely enthusiastic, initiative, competent and courteous. They provide top-notch services. I would give it six stars if I could.

This was our first time at a Ritz-Carlton and it was a GREAT STAY. I would name all the people that assisted, helped or came in contact with us from Doormen, Front Desk to Housekeeping and Dinning but I think it would take a page, and I cannot remember all the names. First we use Marriott a lot, if the PRICE is right, and we received a good rate for our stay. We cannot say enough about the service from Check In to when we Checked Out It was outstanding. The room was the "Best" on the 35th fl... Read more

We have just returned from a wonderful stay in Chengdu and spent the first three nights at the Ritz. From arrival everything was perfect. We had pre arranged for one of their cars to collect us from the airport. (It is worth noting taxis are very cheap and lined up at the airport but we didn't know this. Anyway, it was fun to arrive in style in a lovely Mercedes at £50). Check in happened in our room, because they could see we were tired from the flight and this was greatly appreciated! We h... Stayed at the ritz Carlton in Chengdu four nights on business. Hotel has fantastic rooms and great service. Price includes a buffet breakfast which has a great selection. In the evening the buffet dinner is ok but much too expensive. Flair bar is also a great venue to hang out at. Highly recommend this hotel

Stayed there for the second time and this round was with 12 nights there. The services did not disappointed me. Staffs are still very friendly and helpful (especially Luke & 马?), and room/ restaurants/ sauna/ steam room conditions are well maintaining. I gave some feedback and their management received feedback positively. I will come again.

The location is in downtown Chengdu, close to everything. Room size decent, great breakfast. I would give everything an A+ if the towels and bathrobes are a little better quality. The towels definitely need to be replaced.

Traveling with 9 family members to Shanghai, Chengdu and Beijing, this was my favorite hotel; all were great. We did have a little problem at check-in as the night staff spoke very spotty English. However, in the end, we got our rooms as requested and had a wonderful stay there. My room was the nicest room that I've had ever. It was large, with very modern electronic bedside controls for all the lights, blackout curtains, television, etc. The carpet in the room was absolutely stunning, beau... Read more

Stayed at the Ritz for a week for a business trip. This was my first time out of the US and I was a little nervous about being on my own. The staff at the Ritz made sure everything was taken care of. They helped with everything from making sure I had a packed lunch before I left for work, to helping me book a train ride for a sure seeing day trip. The rooms were larger than I expected for a city and were very nice. I think my feedback would be that at times the staff was overly friendly. Afte... Read more

We had been backpacking and decided that chengdu was the place to splurge a bit. Although we had no reservations we were treated like family. The service was impeccable and intricate. Since there was no standard rooms available we almost left to go to another hotel but when Eric at the front desk explained how valuable staying on the club level and having access to the lounge is, we caved in. In addition, Eric gave us valuable information for our travel itinerary, such as heading to the Panda Re... Read more

This is our first time traveling to Chendduo, so in order to have a good stay, we chose this hotel. It was absolutely as what we expected, from the late check-in, to set up a tent for the kids in the room , and to call a taxi, every service was wonderful. We will use it again for our next trip in Chengduo.

We travelled to Chengdu for the last three days of our holiday from Hong Kong mainly to see the pandas. When we arrived at the ritz from the first point of contact on arrival we where greeted by the staff and guided to the check in area. The lobby is well presented and the staff welcoming, we decided to upgrade our room so we could use the lounge. I would suggest this if you are staying for a few days and feeling a bit lazy to explore the local restaurants. The food was good, breakfast, lunch, a... Read more

My girlfriend and I stayed in the hotel for one day to celebrate our date anniversary. I got to say it was one of my most memorable experience. The guest recognition supervisor Effy was very ehusiasm and friendly. The entire trip was pleasant and the service was legendary. Spa and the LiXuan restaurant were also of top-class. Absolutely recommended.

Our family had two connecting rooms (perhaps it was a suite connected to an extra room), and I don't think we've ever had a fancier hotel room! The amenities and artwork were simply amazing--everything from automatic drapes to automatic toilet. Super comfortable beds / commanding views / the best internet service we had in all of China, etc. The breakfast buffet with stunning in term of the options and quality of food. Great and luxurious hotel. Was on a tour and this was tour operator's choice of hotel for my trip. Only one complaint: was a bit put off that pool staff would not let me and my kids in the pool unless we would wear a bathing cap. And who travels with that? So I had to buy them. Not costly, so no big deal in that way. But for such a luxurious guest-first kind of hotel and hotel brand, this was a bit frustrating. And frankly unnecessary. No other hotel on our trip required this, and we sta... Read more

This was my first 3rd time to stay in Ritz Chengdu. Once you step into their hotel lobby, the pleasant scent they use would immediately remind you that you have arrived at Ritz. We checked in in the a group of 10 for this business trip. The hotel manager was already standing there at the reception counter once our group went up to the level of their reception. Last but not least, he even instructed their staff to perform a performance of their unique tea ceremony! I stayed there for 3 nights... Read more

Just spent 4 days here using the hotel as my base to explore Chengdu and the surrounding area. I must say considering the hotel chains reputation and the price paid for the hotel I really am disappointed. The ice bucket in my room was forever empty, the toothbrush was such poor quality the bristles came loose in my mouth, the room didn't even have a bathtub in just a large shower and all the tiles on the floor were loose I almost lost my footing the first time using it. The room also doesn't hav... Read more

It's our first visit to Chengdu. I am happy I chose this hotel. I booked 7 nights, but cancelled two nights in middle to go to JiuZhaiGou. The first checkin was a little bit disappointed. After we entered the hotel around midnight, nobody was there. We had to find someone to ask where the checkin desk was. When we were on 25th floor, we were confused which way we should go. The second checkin was perfect. Even I didn't do mobile checkin, the staffs prepared the arrival. The room is great. The s... Read more

The Ritz-Carlton Chengdu is similar to other Ritz-Carlton's in Asia - always a delight. From the very helpful receptionist to the charming "tea pouring" greeting to the lovely well appointed rooms - we always enjoy the warm hospitality of the Ritz. The location is good - fairly close to subway line, major shopping areas, and restaurants serving local food nearby. The breakfast buffet is lovely - a huge, wide assortment of western and local foods - really excellent.

It was the luxurious escape I needed from the hotel service which greeted me and took care of me from the time I stepped in, to the concierge finding a way to buy Sichuan opera house tickets when it was sold out by sending a representative there for me (it's Chinese holiday now so very busy), to the food and service that was top notch. Had a great stay at the The Ritz-Carlton, Chengdu. I booked a Club Level Executive Suite. The view on the 38th floor was amazing, even more so at night - even the shower had an epic view. Spices for Breakfast was very serious spread of eastern and western dishes. Location was perfect, for a cheap taxi ride you could make it many sights. It was also very walkable to some big shopping areas.
