The Xiyuan Hotel has bad rooms, Front Desk staff, restaurant staff, Bad r----- restaurant and the list goes on. The front desk staff had no smile on their faces, poor English spoken, even if they know. People cut the line and the staff (front desk) does not care. I dined in two restaurants at the hotel the table was dirty I asked the waitresses to clean it and they showed no interest and they kept me sitting on the same table and they put the plate on top of the dirty area to cover it. We have stayed first time at the Xiyuan Hotel in Beijing. Friendly, courteous staff they speak English. Rooms were very nicely laid out, all the amenities that you expect from. Comfortable sleep quality. Breakfast has a wide variety of things, from Fresh orange juice, eggs to order, lot of Asian food.

The hotel lobby is huge and impressive. The room was nice, with a good view over Beijing. There is a Carrefour supermarket close by the hotel, which is great for utilities shopping. The only drawback is the smell of tobacco remaining in the room (it should improve over time as the hotel is now nonsmoking). The metro is not far from the hotel which is really useful to move in Beijing.

I wanted to get morning call, i called room service, she asked me to dial another number, rather than transfer me to the number directly. After that somebody picked up my pabx phone and asked another man to talk with me. I don't know why such basic service required 3 people. My luggage was so heavy but nobody helped me for that. I came near to midnight and was cold. For facilities, very good. Also the tidiness.

The Hotel is well located, but it lacks in many things, First it is very and I mean very tough to get somebody from the hotel to speak English. The Breakfast is OK not the best and remember there is two breakfast locations on the hotel the second floor one is only Chinese style breakfast and if you have a weak stomach you will suffer. There was no bar at the hotel, the WiFi was terrible, the rooms were old, I would not be coming back to this hotel again.

Room price are okay with this location but effectiveness at front desk have to be improve. I spent over 30mins to get the key . Some of the customers are complaining about the queuing time. It seems that the front desk assistant cannot handle well. ???????????置?以??以??? ???????????????? ????????????????????????????????????????????顧客?滿??????好????辦?????好??

Good location. Friendly staff. Some staff at the reception speaks good English!!!! This is unexpected in China, even in five star hotels. Rooms are standard. There are some restaurants nearby. There were not very much option at breakfast, but the choices of menu were good. The breakfast is served at the revolving hotel (though I did not see it to rotate) at the 26th floor, which was really nice. But please don't expect an spectacular view, as the visibility in Beijing is very poor most of the ti... Read more

The first room was wet on the floor, strong moldy smell and they said somewhere was leaking due to the rain. After changing the room, it was still moldy smell, at least the floor was dry. I cound not beleive that is 1 5 star hotel.

This 5 stars hotel in located in Hai Dian walking distance to the subway, also walking distance to local restaurants. The room are very clean with fridge, kettle and bottle water. Bathroom are spotless, plus bath robe and slippers. In the lobby they have a restaurant where you could find good coffee and food (buffet style). Breakfast restaurant was serving International food. The services the service is excellent.

The hotel is near the zoo and handy to the station. It is billed as a 4-5 star hotel but the rooms are in need of an upgrade. The bathroom tiles have mould in the grout. The granite around the hand basin had a big crack and wallpaper was peeling off the walls in parts.

I stayed here for 3 nights. The bed was firm, but pillows wonderful. Slept very well. Central heating starts the middle of November in Beijing, but I found the room to be plenty warm enough. Everything except a razor is provided, including 2 bottles of water a day. The TV in my room wasn't connected properly so I used my translator to write in Chinese characters, "please fix TV". When I came back to my room, written on my note in English was "TV fix now" which gave me a chuckle. There was a hot ... Read more

For a first time visit to China, I had no idea what to expect from hotels. This was my first stop on a 12 day China tour. The lobby was large and modern. The rooms were good sized, with a nice separate shower from the bathtub. Was it a little worn in spots? Yes, but certainly not dirty, just signs of wear. Nothing to serious. China doesn't drink coffee, so make sure you bring some good instant, sugar and creamer with you, because what they serve is probably not what you are expecting. Th... Read more
