this is a genuine luxury hotel experience much like you would expect to have in the United States. The rooms are of ample size and the quality of service is excellent. The staff is bilingual which is helpful. I had an ATM issue while there which the staff "solved" for me in spite of the fact that it was less than a "hotel issue".

Good location, good breakfast. Room is clean, room service is excellent. Price is affordable! I like it very much! Bathroom is not perfect, as the shower is so small and flooring is easily get wet! Bed is big enough, the pillow is too high. I usually use lower ones. Carpet is not clean enough, there is some dirt and coffee stained.

The Waldorf Astoria brand has many wonderful connotations. Unfortunately, I was overwhelmingly underwhelmed by the Waldorf in Beijing. For starters, they don't have laundry in their hotel (despite it's huge size). So, weary travelers from afar get there in the evening or late pm and suits, shirts, blouses, etc that need pressing for the following day need to be sent outside the hotel for a 100% surcharge. I've been in many hotels where they even have pressers in the room themselves. Then th... Read more

We booked this hotel in Beijing because we were worked about traveling in a country where the food and water were questionable for North Americans. Location not far from the Forbidden City is excellent and the hotel itself is beautiful as you would expect a Waldorff to be. Stayed at a good selection of hotels during a recent trip to Asia. Every hotel was outstanding in some way. However, I would rate this Hotel as the most exclusive in its' presentation. Multiple visits at the Waldorf. Very well centrally located. Rooms are impeccable. Food and service also outstanding. And a very short walk from the center of Beijing, for sight seeing and food variety. From the business point of view: this was completely "friction free" we had a muti-continent set of meetings and the support services were flawless, for audio/A/V. The overall feeling of the hotel is somewhat intimate, perfectly sized, comfortable and attentive; a very good contrast to the intern... Read more

The Waldorf Astoria Beijing was an amazing experience. We arrived very early in the morning after an overnight flight from Bangkok to be picked up by their Mercedes and greeted at the front door by General Manager Alan Stocker and Personal Concierge Katherine Ye. Katherine immediately took us to an upgraded, beautiful room that was stocked with fresh fruit, pastries and some dessert items thoughtfully placed there since we had not had breakfast. The hotel is very well located for walking to shop... Read more

Waldorf is part of Hilton. This means that Amercican style is privileged. This is not the case for Waldorf's Beijing which gathers with talent Asian design, warm service and smily/communicating employees, at all levels. The design is is the moult of Chedi and aman, in the right direction of Asian new luxury trend. Add to this friendly attitude, large room and 5 stars service, you will not select another hotel in Beijing

We had a weeding anniversary trip and this hotel was a wonderful choice. The hotel is very close to a mall, a walking street and to the Forbidden City and Tianamen Square... Also very good restaurants are very close.

This hotel's lobby is a small labyrinth and the hotel interior is very dark and heavy. Rooms are well designed and equipped for a comfortable stay. Wifi service is excellent. Wanfujing area has lots of shops and restaurants to choose from. There's a massive mall almost next door, top floor of the mall is full of restaurants. To reach the Forbidden City, turn right after you exit hotel main entrance and keep walking straight forward about 15 min. Security doesn't allow walking from the Forbid... Read more

Staff, service, and room were excellent. Everyone was helpful, friendly and went out of their way to make my stay superb. The icing on the cake is their SPA and indoor pool! The Peacock Ally is the perfect place for an afternoon tea or for a happy hour cocktail. I also enjoyed the magnificent breakfast at the Brasserie 1893. The concierges were amazing in helping us get tours booked and in recommending restaurants. The hotel is also displaying amazing art by Chinese artists.
