This is a pretty good hotel, I‚??m surprised it doesn‚??t have more reviews (or a higher overall review score). I booked this hotel about 2 weeks prior to my stay in March. I found it on Expedia for about $70 a night for ‚??Business Room‚?? (requested 2 beds). Hotel is VERY close to the center of the city (literally 10-15 minute walk from TianMen Square and 10 minute walk from Wangfujing an Wangfujing subway station). I took a taxi from the airport. On the way there (which happened during ru... Read more

Location - was great. less then 10 mins walk away from Forbbiden City and Tian An Men. 5 mins walk to the nearest pedestrian shopping area and food street. 5 mins away from the nearest train station Stay - Clean, beds sheet were changed everyday but the blankets are not. They gave us 2 single beds combined (almost king size) with 2 blankets. Bath was big enough with rain shower provided, but no tubs. Only issue i had was as it was that the hotel had a central heating system that gets turned on ... Read more

This was our 3rd time to stay here. You cannot beat the location. Walking distance from the forbidden city and Tiananmen Square and close to a subway station so very convenient to get around. Only complaint I have is that it took to long to check in, it took 20 minutes which was is poor service, the person I was dealing had very poor English. When we arrived at the hotel, which was in late afternoon time our room was not ready and we kept waiting until they decided want to do, in the end they u... Read more

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Lovely & clean & a good size. One downside is that you cannot change the temperature in the room, but you can open the windows. Tiananmen Square is just around the corner, in fact the hotel was really close to lots of attractions. The only thing I would suggest they need to improve on is their front staff, not the most outgoing or friendly, but then maybe that's Chinese culture! Also close to several subway stations which meant it was easy to do a lo... Read more

We were booked in for 3 nights and chose this Hotel because of it's central location . It boasted a roof garden overlooking the Forbidden City - not open It advertised a lobby bar - not open It advertised a Coffee bar - not open. The reception staff were not friendly or helpful. The only think that saved the Hotel was the excellent breakfast and restaurant staff. Not a hotel for non-Chinese. Westerners not welcome.

I was visiting China for some work, decided to travel to Beijing, as I was alone, I was looking for some budget places, in the centre of the city. Found this wonderful typical Chinese looking hotel, within my range. The staff is friendly, knows basic English. The rooms are good, I asked for a non smoking one, but I could smell smoke from previous owners, maybe. The plus point is, it is very close to Wangfujing street, the popular street, to spend the evening.

Our cab driver was prearranged by the hotel for us. DO print off the hotel name in Chinese though. We never needed it, but I'm sure most cab drivers won't understand you if you try to tell them how to get you there. We had a lot of help from hotel employees, particularly Lucy. She told us where to go to get to the metro. None of the employees spoke perfect English, but they did very well and we were happy to get advice from them. After you know where the nearest metro station is, things are very... Read more

Was my first time to Beijing. Was my girlfriends first time to Beijing. Was our first time travelling together. Although finances were tight as I am only a student, I wanted to treat her to something nicer than a 7 Days Inn. Almost 600RMB for one night in this hotel. Yes, the location is good but no, the hotel is not worth this amount. The shower was broken, the room had a big window opening onto the corridor which resulted in a constant light shining in even when the curtains were closed and t... Read more

On the plus side - location, location, location! It is about 2 blocks from the Forbidden City, a block from shopping and eating, and a 30 min walk from Temple of Heaven. Bus stop and convenience store right outside the door, and the metro only a block away as well. The hotel and room were also clean. On the not-so-positive side... First off, we couldn't find our room as it wasn't listed anywhere. After getting assistance we discovered that our room was tucked away in the stairwell! The la... Read more

Adjacent to some of Beijing's most expensive hotels and to Tiananmen Square this is an excellent example of a national hotel run for mainly Chinese tourists. Amenities are good and the staff was helpful and cheerful. The internal tourist office was also well run.The beds are not too hard and the water was hot and the room was clean and nicely furnished. A real bargain in an expensice city.

It is not the first time I am using Tianan Rega hotel; it has a great location, very close to the busy Wangfujing shopping and entertainment area, just behind Beijing Hotel. It has one of the richest Chinese style breakfast buffet, really very tasty...sometimes so tasty, that the customers eat it all and the staff forgets to refill !! So, when staying in Tianan Rega, wake up early (!!...hihi)... The fact I am coming often and they recognize me, makes me feel like coming back home...speaking Chin... Read more

From the photos that was posted, the Mgt seemed to have did some renovation to the facade of the hotel. The location as said by most visitors is its convenient to walk to Imperial Palace as well as Wang Fu Jing. The space in the room is also quite spacious. One of the most inconvenient part was that our tourist bus (50 seater) wasn't able to park close to the hotel! And we have to lug our luggages and walk quite a distant to a place that our bus can park! It is quite a funny fact that the hote... Read more

Stayed here for 3 nights upon arrival in China. Once we had our bearings we realised what a great location we had chosen. We knew it was only 5 or 10 mins walk from the forbidden city and Tiananmen square but it's also just 5mins from the night market (which is awesome) great food and weird food. Your also just round the corner from all the shops and shopping malls. There's quite a few restaurants near by as well. The hotel it's self was clean and fine for our needs, it's not luxurious but at th... Read more

Didn't stay here but did go to the rooftop bar for cocktails and Peking duck. A hidden gem. Great views of the forbidden city and Beijing. We had the place to ourselves. Food better than average. Cocktails fair.

This is a very good hotel to stay in when touring Beijing. 10-min. walk to Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square, 5-min. walk to Wangfujing and 10-min walk to the nearest Metro station. As we were out most of the time, we didn't try nor get to see their restaurant and other amenities. Our room was big enough for our family, comfortable beds, air conditioned, spacious toilet with high pressure waterfall shower and heated water. These are basically all we need to have a comfortable stay after a ... Read more
