I admit to being partial to The Westin when I travel. You know what you are going to get and it is always solid. The Westin in Beijing was no different. Comfortable rooms and a convenient location for business. This may be my new go to in Beijing.

Everything at the Westin was smooth and seamless, and it really stands out from my other experiences in China. ?? the airport collection was quick and simple. No complaints. ?? my room was huge. We stay at this hotel for business and love the amenities here. The amenities of this hotel are incredible. They have a very nice sauna and have a variety of exercise classes to participate in, such as yoga, Pilates and personal training. I received a free voucher for a yoga class when I was here and it was wonderful. I am not sure if it is included each visit though. As for the rooms, the bathrooms are clean with a nice rainfall shower head. The beds are very comfortable. The south facing room... Read more

Spent almost a week here (in June 2016) and the stay was really good. The bed was one of the best beds I've ever slept in and can't wait to go back to a Westin because of that . The room itself was pretty nice with a large desk that was perfect for working at. The only down side was the internet speeds. Not really that fast and it did drop at night and early mornings. Location is also pretty good, located just outside of a metro station and tons of restaurants and shops within a few minute walk ... Read more

I was in Beijing for a business trip in June 2016. Given how big Beijing is, the location of the hotel was convenient for us to go to our various meetings. The hotel provided a number of amenities including a large gym, sporting clothing for hire, free wifi, a restaurant with great food and a nearby underground subway station. The hotel boasts excellent sleep quality with their "heavenly bed". There is a nearby mall (walking distance) and cafes (accessible from the rear entrance)

Love the overall friendliness of the staff. However, most of them prefer to speak Mandarin and some struggled with the word, "feedback form" when I wanted to help upon my check-out. They have been extremely patient with me even when my corporate card was overdraft and they could wait for 2 days before I have my temporary limit increased. The bed is simply wonderful and heavenly.

My family stayed at the Westin Beijing for 5 days in July. There are many 5 star hotels in Beijing but the staff here really goes above and beyond. Check in was smooth and as a SPG platinum member we were upgraded to beautiful suite. The lounge staff recognized us and always greeted us with smiles and exemplary service. Breakfast choice is good enough. The only drawback is that the hotel is not close to tourism locations, but it will be a good choice if you are in Beijing for business trip. I will definitely come back next time!

I stayed at the Westin in Beijing twice over the course of the trip to China, overall, it's a fine addition to Starwood, but some of the design is not the best. Like almost any western hotel in Beijing, this hotel was gleaming and brand-new. Shiny faux slate everywhere, and the lobby was glitzy and hip. Though, there were no chairs to sit in, so the lobby wasn't very functional. Ultimately, just being "new" doesn't really cut it in the world of fancy hotels here. The room was a functional and ... The hotel is located directly next to the subway station Liangmaqiao connecting you to subway line 10. This is an excellent point to cover Beijing since it only takes you around 25min and one subway change to line 1 to Tian'anmen Square and the forbidden city. The Westin Chaoyang truly does not live up to a five star standard. Don't get me wrong, rooms are very nice, the swimming pool is wonderful but there are certain issues which make this place not a prime choice for business stays in Beijing. I was invited to the Westin Hotel for a Buffet lunch. The quality and wide selection of various western and Asian cuisines was very impressive!! All the food was very fresh and delicious! The service was also excellent as I required a bottle of Italian sparkling water which was nice and cold and bubbly! Some staff even spoke to me in my native language, French, which is a rarity in China. Thoroughly recommend this venue for buffet lunch!

Hotel is very sleek and contemporary. Management is trying hard to attract and accommodate SPG elites. Only RMB 56 cab ride from airport (22-23 mins). Easy access to central BJ (15-20 mins, except during rush hour).

It's better than your average high-end business hotel. The room (on the executive floor) is huge, and it has a nice contemporary Chinese touch. The swimming pool is stunning and the breakfast is excellent. The location is alright, but then again, that's Beijing. Everything is far away and taxis are almost obligatory. In this regard, the Westin Chaoyang is not badly located. Around 30 minutes walk from Sanlitun Village. There are much worse districts in Beijing for this matter.

Our Executive Deluxe room was spacious and very comfortable; lovely bathroom, floor-to-ceiling windows afforded an excellent view of the surrounding area. Desk and lounge area were well-appointed with various charging stations. The breakfast buffet area is large with a fairly good selection of international food - but, sadly, the staff fails to keep the used dishes cleared and tables clean after guests have finished their meal.

China's capitol city certainly has a vast quantity of hotels to choose from, many of which are super-luxury, but any number of them are also showing signs of wear and stress. For this reason we chose to stay for eight days at the WESTIN CHAOYANG. The facilities have been updated and we received a wellness room that included a leg massager as part of its regular furnishings. The staff was attentive, the amenities were over the top. We couldn't have been happier. Our top recommendation for de... Read more

Excellent location, ideal for meetings ample banqueting facilities - French lady looking after banqueting is extremely good - met our last minute demands With a smile, food is ok , good lobby Some rooms have old marble stone which isn't up to Westin standard

Big and clean rooms. The staff is attentive and speaks English (which is not the case is all hotels). The location is convenient. Overall, a solid business hotel. Only downside is the price of the restaurants in the hotel: good quality but way overpriced.

I normally stay at the Grand Hyatt due to work policies so was pleasantly surprised when I was booked into the Westin instead for the first time. Overall, a good experience in what felt like a refurbished hotel. Some little complaints but nothing to stop me returning if I am in this part of town. Pros: - the corner suites are gorgeous with amazing views and generous space - rooms felt like they had partly been redone, including installation of blackout shutters - location is pretty good for bus... This was a stunning hotel to stay at. Very modern and extremely comfortable. Staff were all very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was so good! Would definitely book this hotel again on my next visit to Beijing.

Stayed @ Westin Beijing Chaoyang for almost a week. The experience started with the hotel car service picking me up at the airport, right outside my plane, a hotel person walked me through security, immigration, and "handed" me to a hotel driver outside the terminal. Next, upon our arrival to the hotel, another person greeted me by name, had the key card to my room (they pre-checked me in), came with me upstairs, where they scanned my passport and credit card using a small portable scanner. She ... Read more

This was my third stay at this hotel, and I must say that it is turning out to be one of my all-time favorite hotels. The staff is very professional and quite helpfull and it is a pleasure to be met by them. The room I got was almost Scandinavian-like, where the things that are there are the ones you need and of good quality. Awesome fitness room too! The breakfast restaurant is newy re-designed (last year part of it was closed for renovation) and it worked just fine. The breakfast itself is ... Read more
