If you're the typical traveller who'd love to explore your the main shopping district of Beijing and be central to the main tourist sites, then the Novotel Beijing Peace is the hotel for you. First and foremost, the staff at this hotel were amazing and accomodating (this is what you want). When you first walk into the lobby, you'll be mesmerised by the long staircase. The bar area is nice to have a few drinks every night (that's what I did of course!) As for the accomodation itself, if you're af... Read more

Booked Novotel as was a safe bet in a place that seemed so far removed from anything I'd ever experienced. Huge room...very comfortable...immense choice at breakfast...choose happy hour at the bar...much cheaper...Staff did their very best to accomodate is and although language was a bit tricky, their knowledge of English far exceeded my Chinese! Would go again.

We stayed at this place for a few nights! Amazing location and great service! Just a bit tired the hotel, it needs refurbishing. Otherwise I would totally stay again for sure!!! The breakfast at the executive floor is just great!!!

I stayed at the Novotel Beijing Peace in December 2016/January 2016 for a couple of nights on two occasions on either side of an organised tour I took to Pyongyang, DPRK. I found the location to be perfect, and very close to the main shopping district as well as within walking distance to the Forbidden City. The rooms were extremely comfortable, and pricing was very affordable. I ordered room service, which was quick, and the meals were very good. The breakfast buffet was quite decent too. Th... Every thing was excellent, from staff to rooms to meals. In particular was your staff at the reception lobby on the ground floor and on the 19th floor. The VIP package was very much appreciated and I will definitely use this package again.

Great hotel in a great location. Rooms are spacious with a fabulous breakfast. All staff speaks English. The concierge was very helpful hailing and guiding the taxi drivers on addresses. Overall a great hotel.

To be clear, we booked a double room in the cheapest category for this trip. We spent three nights here as a part of a longer trip in Asia. We ended up getting a room in the lower and "older" part of the hotel. The hotel tower which you see in the pictures is the nicer part of the hotel. I do think this part of the hotel is much nicer, but I didn't get to check myself. The lower "older" part of the hotel smells like smoke, has a dirty wall-to-wall carpet and does not have a nice view from the... Read more

I stayed here 5 nights travelling solo. I felt very safe and I enjoyed staying here. Great location near Wangfujing Street and the Forbidden city. There is a shuttle bus to and from the airport that makes the transfer simple and cheap.

If there is additional criteria I need to add when rating a hotel to stay, it should not just be about the 4 C's -- comfort, cleanliness, convenience, and charm. This Hotel has it all plus the "flexibility" to allow me to rebook my room reservation on a different week without additional charge. I had encountered some glitches on obtaining my travel visa on time with the China embassy that by the time I have to travel to Beijing it was not yet ready. So I rebook my flights to be able to travel 2 ... Read more

...... but a couple of glitches. 1. The internet is very unreliable and it is not a case of blocked sites but of speed 2. This is the only hotel I have stayed in where the room service food is better than in the Square (the main restaurant) Incidentally, don't ask for a glass of wine - the bottle may have been open for a very long time.. Otherwise a good place to stay, but not so easy if you are here on business and need to speak on Skype with your office or access e-mails in a hurry
