The Hotel is very good, the staff can speak english well even the bell boy, near city center and tourist destination, easy to find halal food for us as moslem : eg : there is a pig draw in the dish of non halal food at breakfast in the hotel. The only problem is traffic jam to this place if we go back to the hotel by taxi. I think hotel must give more information how to go to the hotel by metro, if guess want to cut time to go back to the hotel, because information from the hotel about metro is... Read more

Stayed at Novotel Peace prior to a work commitment at another hotel. This is centrally located within walking distance to the core tourist attractions like Tiananmen Square and the forbidden city. Also minutes away form a shopping mall and night BBQ where you will see some amazing things on Kabab sticks. This itself is an excellent experience and one to make sure you walk down and see one night. The hotel had good facilities and was clean and tidy. Breakfast was the only meal we had in the h... The Novotel Peace Hotel is very convenient to many of the tourist sites in the city. We especially liked the breakfast (Western style) which catered to both tourists and locals. You know the hotel must be a good place to stay, as there were many airline pilots and stewardesses staying there. We found the room comfortable and with nice amenities, however several people in our tour group said the air conditioners did not work properly. Ours worked fine The lobby is a great meeting place, and while... Read more

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. We were informed by email that there is no bus shuttle ( which is not true). We also requested to stay in the new section but do not realize that we have to pay extra as the rooms are "superior". Otherwise, the location is perfect. Perhaps, the hotel needs to provide more info on the metro stations as it is so convenient and cheaper to move around.Breakfast is great and the price we paid for the room is right.

This hotel is in the central area of Beijing and not far from the Forbidden Palace. Also close to the hutong areas. If you are into high end shopping it is right amongst many luxury brand shops. However there is also quite a good sports / outdoor clothing complex very close by too, with a range of international and Chinese brands. The hotel is clean and spacious and the rooms are not too dated. It even has a free fitness centre which is not always the case at hotels in China. Staff are helpf... Read more

I was very pleased with this hotel. The breakfast is unbelievable, it's like a wedding party buffet. The rooms are spacious and very quiet. Great location surrounded by shops and restaurants and walking distance to the forbidden city and Tiananmen Square. After I stayed there I always look for Novotel before booking my trips. Highly recommend.

Novotel peace has the best location. It's very center of the town. just 5-10 minutes walk to wang-fu-jing walking street. Many shopping malls and restaurant surrounding. Rooms is quite old. Standard room is on the old wing of the building. Superior room is on the new wing which just renovated. However, it's still old. Bathroom is very small. no shower box. you have to stand in the bath tub for shower. Breakfast is average to poor. no variety of food and not good in quality. with 148CNY (22U... Read more

I spent three nights here in June 2016 and all in our group had a great experience. If you are looking for a reasonably priced room that's close to shopping, restaurants,Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City, this is a good option. Rooms a were clean and comfy. Awesome breakfast with fresh juices and excellent, freshly ground coffee. American and Chinese bfast options including omelette and crepe stations. Fitness center was okay. I'd definitely stay again.

This was my favourite hotel in our 3 weeks touring China. While the room was not large, it was very modern, comfortable and quiet. The hotel was centrally located with easy walking access to the subway, pedestrian street, mall, sights, such as Forbidden City, restaurants and shops. The breakfast was very extensive and offered a lot of variety of western and Asian food. The staff was absolutely wonderful - very helpful and pleasant - they were definitely a factor in how much we enjoyed our tim... Read more

We stayed at Novotel Peace Beijing for a week in the last week of May, 2016. Our flight was landing late at night so I sent an email to the hotel during booking, informing them about our late arrival. Although, the email correspondence experienced some communication gaps, but the issues were resolved quickly. As we reached the hotel, our check-in took only a few minutes as if they were expecting us at that time and we were told that our room has been upgraded (being Gold member of Accor Hotels L... The hotel is very well located but maintenance has been left behind and the hotel feels its age. The rooms and bathrooms are large but are old and a bit worn out. You will not feel pampered by the staff but it check in and out are efficient. Large breakfast selection with medium quality food.

When you arrive you are impressed with the grand staircase and the very courteous staff. However if you booked through Expedia or a travel site you are escorted to the 2nd floor and taken across a dirty carpet and UP a staircase (there is no direct elevator to Building 2) to your room (this set up alarm bells immediately for me). As I opened the door to the room I was taken back to the 1980's. The carpet was dirty with a huge stain, the wallpaper was ripped, the fixtures old, the room just fel... Read more

We stayed here as a family in two connecting rooms upon the recommendation of our tour company, Odyssey Tours, for three nights. We had one large corner king bedroom with a connecting twin room. The king bed was extremely hard to sit on, but surprisingly comfortable to lie and sleep on. This room had a shower and toilet in one room, connecting to the wash basin and wardrobe area. The sewerage seemed less than ideal with a not too pleasant odour persisiting. The twin room had a shower/bath com... Read more

I had stayed in this location 14 years ago and so was looking for a deal and Novotel worked out. Yes, there are 2 different buildings, but I thought our room was fine. Small but clean. The breakfast was pretty good for China. They made omelets, fruit was the best selection we got throughout. And the location is great. You can walk to the markets in the evening. The subway is close. Was very disappointed. The first impression we got after check in was the 9th floor of the hotel, as soon as we stepped out of the lift there was a musky odour and when we open the door to our room it was no better. We were in a Superior Suite as well, no wardrobe in main bedroom, no bathroom amenities, just dark and dingy smelly room. We went to the premier lounge straight away and explained the situation, and we were moved to a Premier Suite on the 16th floor as that was the only other suite ... Read more

The room was nice. The breakfast was nice. The staff was helpful and friendly. And the location of the hotel is just perfect being a short walk from the main downtown shopping areas of Beijing (Wangfujing Street). However, there are certain drawbacks. The prominent one being the room air-conditioner. Even though, we had it set to the coolest setting, it was barely cool. And after coming back to hotel from a whole day tour of Beijing with a temperature of 38 deg C, you need to relax in a cool roo... Read more

This was a standard Novotel being clean and comfortable. The location is great just around the corner from Wangfujing shopping street. Make sure that also you go for a stroll along eat street, which runs off Wanfujing, where you will see lots of "intereting" food. It was also close to the metro. Breakfast was good and the wifi worked well.

The rooms were clean, the breakfast was nice and the staff were friendly and patient. The air conditioning could've been better especially with how hot it was and the bathroom surfaces could have been cleaner in my opinion. The hotel however was very close proximity to major shopping districts, which makes it an excellent location. The bar had nice cocktails, but I would've liked more snack options.

I stayed in this hotel for 8 days in 3 different times. Each time the reception as well as checkout were perfect. The hotel is located within 2 minute walking from the famous Wangfujing shopping street. Rooms are very spacious, modern and convenient. Try to get a room in the 16th floor, or above. That will entitle you to access to the lounge in the 19th floor. Late checkout was also allowed at no extra charge. Highly recommended.

We found this hotel to be quite close to the main mall area that leads to the street markets, a mere ten minute walk, and across the street to a modern shopping mall with many food outlets. We opted for an upgrade in rooms, which were a nice size to move around in. The lighting was a bit subdued if you wish to sit on the couch and read.
