This hotel is located in a very convenient spot right near the main pedestrian street of Beijing and close to tea houses, restaurants. A bit of a walk to the main sites like the Forbidden City and cheap cab rides to others. As it is French you can also get international cuisine.

If you want convenience, the Novotel Beijing Peace is the place to say. Walking distance to the big draw cards of the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square as well as 2 subway stations on different lines made it an ideal location. The hotel was clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. Two blocks walk to a great range of eating options and high end or market style shopping .

We were on an escorted tour, and this was a great choice. The rooms were large and fully appointed. Tea, coffee facilities, choice of pillows, and a great shower. Breakfast was full choice, continental, English and Asian. Plenty of choice at dinner too.

You have to pay extra to enjoy the upgraded rooms on the mail building. We tried to pay for the standard rooms, and we got "standrad". We knew we won't be happy about it, so we decided to pay for the upgrades in order to really enjoy your vacation. Glad we did or we would be very unhappy with our trip.

Considering I had pretty bad jet lag during the whole stay, choosing this hotel made it rather enjoyable. Good location, walking distance from Wangfujing, Forbidden city, Nanluoguxiang etc. Metro station is very close by as well. The best part of this hotel was quiet room, accompanied by easy access and quality breakfast. We took bus from the airport and it stops in front of the hotel.

Stayed here for 4 nights. An excellent hotel with the most pleasant and professional staff you could meet. A great room and a plentiful breakfast which kept us going all day. My wife used the Spa area and enjoyed the experience. A 10 min walk takes you to the side gate of the forbidden city and 5 mins to Wangfujing street for shopping. All in all great value for a high end hotel. Highly recommended.

Cons: -Hotel is in desperate need of a renovation. It's a slight step up from a Super 8 or Red Roof. You DEFINITELY get what you pay for. -Waldorf Astoria is next door and the Hilton is across the street , therefore scammers patrol the area. Hence, beware of anyone wanting you to have Tea, coffee, or high school kids wanting to practice their English. You wont be happy with the bill after the cup(s)of tea. Tip: don't utter a word in english because they glue to you. Pros: as per the other re... Read more

If you're the typical traveller who'd love to explore your the main shopping district of Beijing and be central to the main tourist sites, then the Novotel Beijing Peace is the hotel for you. First and foremost, the staff at this hotel were amazing and accomodating (this is what you want). When you first walk into the lobby, you'll be mesmerised by the long staircase. The bar area is nice to have a few drinks every night (that's what I did of course!) As for the accomodation itself, if you're af... Read more

Booked Novotel as was a safe bet in a place that seemed so far removed from anything I'd ever experienced. Huge room...very comfortable...immense choice at breakfast...choose happy hour at the bar...much cheaper...Staff did their very best to accomodate is and although language was a bit tricky, their knowledge of English far exceeded my Chinese! Would go again.

We stayed at this place for a few nights! Amazing location and great service! Just a bit tired the hotel, it needs refurbishing. Otherwise I would totally stay again for sure!!! The breakfast at the executive floor is just great!!!
