The Hotel is very good, the staff can speak english well even the bell boy, near city center and tourist destination, easy to find halal food for us as moslem : eg : there is a pig draw in the dish of non halal food at breakfast in the hotel. The only problem is traffic jam to this place if we go back to the hotel by taxi. I think hotel must give more information how to go to the hotel by metro, if guess want to cut time to go back to the hotel, because information from the hotel about metro is... Read more

Stayed at Novotel Peace prior to a work commitment at another hotel. This is centrally located within walking distance to the core tourist attractions like Tiananmen Square and the forbidden city. Also minutes away form a shopping mall and night BBQ where you will see some amazing things on Kabab sticks. The Novotel Peace Hotel is very convenient to many of the tourist sites in the city. We especially liked the breakfast (Western style) which catered to both tourists and locals. You know the hotel must be a good place to stay, as there were many airline pilots and stewardesses staying there. We found the room comfortable and with nice amenities, however several people in our tour group said the air conditioners did not work properly. Ours worked fine The lobby is a great meeting place, and while... Read more

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. We were informed by email that there is no bus shuttle ( which is not true). We also requested to stay in the new section but do not realize that we have to pay extra as the rooms are "superior". Otherwise, the location is perfect. Perhaps, the hotel needs to provide more info on the metro stations as it is so convenient and cheaper to move around.Breakfast is great and the price we paid for the room is right.

This hotel is in the central area of Beijing and not far from the Forbidden Palace. Also close to the hutong areas. If you are into high end shopping it is right amongst many luxury brand shops. However there is also quite a good sports / outdoor clothing complex very close by too, with a range of international and Chinese brands. The hotel is clean and spacious and the rooms are not too dated. It even has a free fitness centre which is not always the case at hotels in China. Staff are helpf... Read more

When you arrive you are impressed with the grand staircase and the very courteous staff. However if you booked through Expedia or a travel site you are escorted to the 2nd floor and taken across a dirty carpet and UP a staircase (there is no direct elevator to Building 2) to your room (this set up alarm bells immediately for me). We have stayed in a few hotels in China and I would say this one was probably good value good position but behind the grand entrance it's not that good and could do with a refurb I stayed on the 5 th floor two single beds and the room could do with a total change the carpet on the way to elevator was black and needs changing . But being an honest reviewer it did the job for us on business but wouldn't want to bring the family here as there are so many good hotels in a similar location .

Very good hotel. Clean and centrally located near to Wangfujing. The only downside was that we had a room on the back side of the hotel and there were some very loud locals at a restaurant making noise at 3 am. Not the hotels fault but worth mentioning in case you are a light sleeper. Ask for a room in the front of the hotel

The hotel's lobby, room, facilities are ok, it matched my expectations, relative to the price paid. If you consider the location, it's more than well worth the price paid because it's at the center of most things -- just 5 minutes walk to corner of Wangfujing or Apple Store, 15 minutes walk to Forbidden City, 10 minutes walk to street food and Quan Jude the famous peking duck restaurant. Other hotels beside it are much more expensive which are expected as they are luxurious hotels, so I say I ... Read more

We've stayed a second time at the Novotel Beijing peace Hotel due to the close location to the Forbidden City and Wangfujing. From the first stay in May to this one in September we've notice a decline in the cleanliness of the rooms and even the service at the Executive Premier Lounge was not the service we are used too in other ACCOR hotels - hard to feel welcome and even a drink in the evening felt they were doing us a favor. Our 3 night stay at the NBP was great. The buffet breakfast has plenty of hot and cold variety for westerners and asians. We found the location really good. Unfortunately I was shown to two rooms initially which were definitely not what I had booked - very small, reeking of smoke, with no view at all (far from the high floor, deluxe, non-smoking room that I had booked) - I remained calm and gently refused the rooms explaining that they were not what I had booked and eventually a compromise was offered - upgrade to a suite. Good spot surrounded by shops. Close to sites such as forbidden city. Room service a bit expensive but pretty standard for hotels. If you are arriving from Beijing airport during the day you can get the bus and it is the second stop. When you get to the airport follow the signs to the bus terminal, if you go to the ticket counter and say Novotel peace hotel they will give you a ticket, buses are hourly and very cheap.

This is the only hotel I have stayed in where the room service food is better than in the Square (the main restaurant) Incidentally, don't ask for a glass of wine - the bottle may have been open for a very long time.. Otherwise a good place to stay, but not so easy if you are here on business and need to speak on Skype with your office or access e-mails in a hurry
