The hotel is located around 15mins taxi ride away from Beijing Capital airport. While there are other local airport hotels nearby, this is quite a well run international brand. There are other higher value brands adjacent to the airport terminal, but I thought the price difference is really not necessary for a less than 8 hours transit. Do make sure you have the address on hand as telling taxi drivers the hotel's exact location could be a challenge in Chinese cities. Check-in was attentive a... Read more

It was a dissapointing experience, right from the location, which is 20 minutes by taxi & not really near the airport,to the overall ambience that the hotel provides. Rooms have no refrigerators,no Iron in the room,Hotel has no Gym,there is only one restaurant which offers similar food for Breakfast, Lunch & dinner. The staff's english speaking capability is poor & can barely understand the English communication, therby appearing to be rude.

I am a decade long IHG Platinum member and have spent countless nights at all of IHG brands, particularly Holiday Inn (HI) and Holiday Inn Express (HIE), so I am well experienced to rank this hotel from a system and brand culture prospective. Pro: 1) Very friendly staff - questions and requests are all promptly and clearly answered. Admittedly, I communicated the staff in Chinese when I sense their English ability is limited. I can honestly feel they care about their guests and guest experien... Read more

My second visit to this property, and yet another short transit with less than 8 hours. Service at the front desk was welcoming and I got a room closer to the elevator this time. Everyhting in the room works fine and hot water at the shower works perfectly. Didn't have time for breakfast at the lobby level but I assume the food is choices are still the same, no complaints here as its free. Be ready to pay around 30-40RMB taxi fare from the airport and takes around 15 mins. Be ready to tip t... Read more

This Holiday Inn Express is located in an office park off the Airport Expressway, before the Fourth Ring Road and thus before really crazy Beijing traffic. Nice quiet location but not particularly well-known so be prepared with a map or call the hotel if experiencing difficulties. This is a newer hotel. Rooms are reasonably-sized, clean and comfortable. Definitely on par with other Holiday Inn Expresses that I've stayed in. Service was very good. All staff I spoke with were friendly and helpfu... Read more

This hotel is very far from the airport and in an area where the taxi drivers do not recognize. We expected a goods night sleep before flying home, but had heavy constructed in the next room. The construction started very early in the morning and this was not stated at the time of book. To me, this is a bit of a con because we should be aware. Avoid at all costs, even if the construction stops it would be best to stay clear.

Albeit having challenges with language, the people at the reception went out of their way to understand our requests and address them. There was no fridge and i called up to ask them if I had missed seeing it. Even without my requesting, the send over a fridge. They have free shuttle to airport. Wish they had from the airport too.

None of the taxi drivers knew this address. One kind taxi driver called the hotel to find the address. Tip would be to get the hotel name in Chinese. Tip is to ask the taxi driver to take you to Di tan hospital as this hospital is just opposite it. Later we got to know that the taxi drivers just say they don't know the address since its nearby and not lucrative for them. I was lucky to be travelling with a mandarin speaker or else I'd have either been ripped off or been stuck for a long time. Th... Read more
