The IBIS is almost ideally located for a cruise out of Valparaiso as well as touring Valparaiso. The train station is next door on the street and the cruise terminal is three stops (10 minutes) away.. The major city square is a block away. The breakfast is good, but gets crowded quickly. Most rooms have a view of the harbor. And, the price is great for a newer hotel.

We stayed therre in March. Typical Ibis hotel, big rooms, basic decor, comfortable bed.Very good price It is in cargo port so is noisy when window is open. Check in was fast since noone was in fron of us, check out took 40 minutes ( be prepared during cruises days) Fantastic location, close to everything, restaurants, sightseeing, over rail station to Vina del Mar and cruise port.

The Ibis Valparaiso Hotel is located on the city's waterfront. I believe that most of the guests when we were there were about to go on a cruise leaving the next morning from the harbor. The hotel offers clean, basic, accommodations that are similar to a US Motel 6. The staff is very knowledgeable about the needs of cruise boat tourists. The hotel also offers a very basic European-style breakfast for a small additional fee

The room was very spacious and quiet with a view to the harbour. The bed was very comfortable and the room was nice and quiet ensuring a good sleep. Service in the Bistro for breakfeast was OK, though one morning we ran out of butter and another we ran out of eggs. One morning we also ran out of teaspoons. The range of brekkie foods was very adequate. Checking in can be very busy at times.
