We appreciated our access to Metro, grocery store and main square, very close by. The hotel, was efficient kept our bags until, check in, 3.00, no flexibility here, but it worked out for us. User friendly rooms, fairly good breakfast with a variety. Only frustration that there is not a common room to play cards or meet up with friends. Otherwise it was. Rey good value for us.

Very bare bones hotel with minimal room furnishings and amenities. Would be comparable with a Motel 6 our Red Roof Inn in the US. Good location in the center of "Old City" area right on the water front. Very near the cruise ship port, but the entrance to the port is 2 miles away. Plan on 30 minutes to an hour and a half waiting in line for check in. Cafe is very crowded in the mornings, another wait. Fairly clean but old. Next door to a small mall.

The best feature of this hotel is its location. Easy access to public transportation and at walking distance of several sites of interest. Rooms are a little bit small and the lower floors are somewhat noisy. Good breakfast. Staff is not very helpful or nice sometimes.

I'm recommending this hotel with some hesitation. Here is a short summary: We arrived at 12pm which was the indicated check-in time on the reservation. The small lobby are was chaotic--people trying to check-in or out, suitcases all over the place. We were told that rooms were going to be available after 3pm due to busy cruise season. Upon returning, we were given a room on the 4th floor. This is the floor from hell! The 4th floor is directly above the building's parking lot. Every time a car en... Read more

This hotel is located close to almost all of the major sights in downtown Valparaiso. You can catch a trolley bus at Plaza Sotomayor that is only a short walk away from the Hotel. The metro station Puerto is in the same building. The staff at the front desk is helpful, the rooms are spacious and the cleaning is good. The dishes, glases and the cutlery for breakfast were not very clean. That should be changed soon.

When you check out review your bill we were charged for bfst we had paid cash for. Hotel in a sketchy area of Valparaiso. Room clean, comfortable and great AC but only stay one night. There are better places to stay in Valparaiso for longer visits and have bfst included.

If you are going on a cruise or coming from one IBIS Valparaiso is an excellent place to stay. Hotel is in the center of the city, just a few steps from Plaza Sotomayor. It is a no frill place. You get the basics: a comfortable, clean bed, solid breakfast, acceptable WiFi, reasonable prices, public garage in the building and an excellent service. If you are familiar with IBIS chain you know that their hotels offer the basics, but what makes IBIS Valparaiso exceptional is the friendly staff. They... Read more

This hotel is clearly under maintained, feels dirty and definitely cheap. People in the front desk and everyone working here is extra nice. Feels like this international chain has a Chilean taste and budget in housekeeping.

Great neighborhood for sure and easy to walk and explore the colorful Valparaiso The room was basic but clean and I had a great view of the harbor. Staff was a little slow checking me in but other than that they were very helpful. WIFI worked good and they have two computers for you to use in the lobby

After disembarking a South American cruise, we decided to spend a night in Valparaiso before heading to Santiago. As my elderly mother has some mobility issues, we wanted somewhere that was central and not in the hilly neighbourhoods of Valparaiso. We chose to stay at the Ibis Valparaiso which was centrally located on one of the main thoroughfares of the city, Av. Errazuriz, and a short taxi drive from the cruise terminal. It is located two blocks away from Plaza Sotomayor and within walking dis... Read more
