Well located, clean and almost too minimalistic room. Good view of the docks and bay. Excellent breakfast. The only low point was parking. There is not free parking as advertised, only paid and public. At some point there was a 20 minute line. It is cheap and great value for your money.

We stayed here as we were led to understand it was the closest accommodation to the cruise ship dock which turned out to be quite correct although while the ship is docked very close you actually check in and are bus from around 2-3 miles across the harbor. The rooms are about what you expect from an IBIS BUT directly across the road is a night club that kicked off around 11pm and went full blast until 5am in the morning. The music is so loud I thought it was coming from the hotel itself until I... Read more

We stayed at the Ibis for 2 nights before taking a cruise. The hotel is clean and convenient. Our room was large, but sparsely furnished. The room was clean and the staff was helpful. The Ibis sits over the train station, and down the block from a small mall that includes a food court and supermarket. The funiculars to more trendy neighborhoods are a short walk away. Best of all, the price was right - $70/night including breakfast for 2. The breakfast buffet was very good, and included hot optio... Read more

It was very interesting to observe work in the dock. Room was big, bed large and comfy as in most of Ibis hotels. Breakfast has different versions depending on serving time and we didn't pay enough attention to it, so we missed our first meal. Lunch there was frozen-microwave dish, no good at all. We can't say that reception was attentive, they were so busy with their own matters.

This Hotel is really one of the best option we have at Valparaiso, it is really well located and very easy to achieve and has a parking which is really good when you are travelling by car. Definitively I will stay at this Hotel in my next time at Valparaiso.

Centrally located, a bit too central at night but not a problem. Impeccably clean, great service by the staff and all at a reasonable price. Breakfast buffet was excellent. I would stay here again next time.

Very basic but very clean room with one soap and one small shampoo but for the price quite adequate. Staff were very nice and helpful. Just down the road (turn right outside the door) there is a small shopping mall with a reasonable sized supermarket upstairs and also about 4 fast food shops. After checking out realised we were charged for 2 breakfasts when only my husband ate as I wasn??t feeling well. Saw this in previous reviews but forgot to check. Hotel got us a taxi to the cruise ter... Read more

We stayed at the Ibis Valparaiso for one night ahead of a cruise. The location is excellent particularly for access to the cruise terminal which was an easy taxi ride. The hotel was very clean. The breakfast was surprisingly tasty and breakfast foods abundant. The room was somewhat utilitarian, but we knew that ahead of time and were watching the budget. The shower was great. Our only complaint was check in which seemed somewhat disorganized. It was also somewhat chaotic the morning of the cr... Read more

Like all Hotel IBIS, this is a very spartan hotel. Small room safe, but no coffee maker or any of the perks in many hotels. No clothes hangers in my room. Battery low on safe so could not use. Spartan, IKEA type furniture. But the room rate is quite affordable. For this location, right at the port and on the light rail. We were working in the port so, location was great. Also a supermarket right there. And Valparaiso has lots of great restaurants. Now for what you have to factor in - f... Read more

Official rating for this hotel is three stars and that is correct rating. However, this hotel is excellent value for money. Rooms are clean and large. Service very friendly. There is a gym which I did not use. Downstairs next to reception is a small bar and restaurant where they serve breakfast and you can buy lunch, snack or dinner. Breakfast is very basic but ok. They would sometimes run out of coffee, though. Location is very good, close to lifts up to hills and metro station in the same buil... Read more

This was very much as expected - clean, affordable, Western standard Hotel Ibis rooms of the same type you would get in cities across Europe. This was exactly what we were looking for after some hostel stays in Argentina and an unclean apartment in Santiago. We had read the reviews about noisy rooms at the front of the hotel and on the lower floors but fortunately we were allocated a room on the 6th floor facing the back (towards the port, Room 627). While there was a little noise during the da... Read more

The ibis Valparaiso surprised me pleasantly - I wasn't expecting much as it was relatively cheap and I thought it would be very basic. That it was, but really it was totally fine. We had a largish room, comfortable bed, great view of the port ( too bad about the streaked dirty windows which prevented me from taking a photo of the ships, seagulls, water....). Only downside - & it is a downside - is the neighbourhood. It's very dodgy indeed. Although one is right near the Armada and public buildin... Read more

Come back in the afternoon or night with fresh towels & bed made.Good working wifi. Funicular to go up is only 5 -10 min walk where restaurants, awesome views.

We stayed for 2 nights before figuring out the best plan to tour Casablanca wine country. The staff are excellent and friendly which helped us immensely with our planning. Everything else is what u expect with Ibis. Well done!

The rooms are a decent size, that's the best I can say. They only give you two towels in the bathroom. The breakfast is limited and not worth the money, I actually canceled my breakfast for the second morning after having an awful breakfast the first morning. There is a dance club across the street that plays loud music until 6am, so forget about getting a good nights sleep. The wifi was very slow and frustrating.

Ibis Valparaiso follows the same standard of accommodation, however there is a gym on the parking floor which the volume of the music and the weights falling to the ground are possible to listen to on the top floor of the building.

Really nice busy city. Although you are on a main road noisy is quite low. Not sure what constitutes loud from some of the other reports, but these rooms are not, considering you are paying to be right in the middle of the cities heart. Internet wroked OK. Again wwhen travelling internet is never as good as home... Rooms were good, funny little drop down single bed took us a few minutes to workout. Worst thing I can say was the showers were very poor. The temp constantly changed from luke warm t... Read more

The hotel is well located, has nice rooms and is very clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The weak point is the breakfast that is very bad. The bread tastes like paper, there are some things that look like cheese, but are not real cheese. The fruits are always the same bad ones. In summary a very poor breakfast.

The hotel is good. However staff is not very friendly and sometimes it seems they are doing the clients a favour... The room was extremely noisy both nights due to very loud music from a nearby place. The noise was until 6AM on both nights. It was terrible.

Build in the same block as the railway station is a excellent point to start a visit to Valparaiso or take the train to Viña del Mar. Excellent indications of the staff about the best place to visit and to eat. One remark - they don't tell us that the guests of the hotel have a discount on the upper car park but we discover it by ourselves

I stayed here for a weekend. Breakfast is good, rooms are simple and comfortable, I liked it. Only problem, the first day we heard a persistent noise, and we were told it was the adjacent gym. We asked the problem to be solved, and solution more than surpassed our expectations. They moved us to a much better room, 5th floor, and larger. Staff was very kind all the time... delighted with how they handled the problem.

Nice hotel. Convenient to the ship harbor and cruiseport. Rooms are nice and the ones on the back have a view of the Harbor. I had room 531 with a nice view. Rooms are well appointed. The is a breakfast available on the premises, but I did not eat there. With a block is a mall with a food court and a large supermarket. ATMS have available here, but I think you get a better deal from the Exchange place across the street to the right. The ATM will charge you about $5,00, and the exchange pl... Read more

This is a so-called "no-nonsense" hotel. The desk turns into a shelf for clothes which, in turn becomes a small sofa and bedside table. Good for a working visit, practical. But there is a difference: the staff and the view our window faced the bay, and we had the Pacific Ocean changing its hues of blue as the sun moves. The shower was (at least in room 760) a disaster. It changes from hot to cold on its own (I asked them to have it fixed), and the breakfast is too simpleand the staff can hardly ... Read more

We stayed there one night as a side trip from Santiago. Check in was quick by a friendly female receptionist who speaks very good English. Our room was on the top floor. They have a lift. It was small no surprise, but very clean, modern and very quiet. It has a big window with views of the bay and the eastern part of Valparaiso. Bathroom is spacious. It has AC/Heater that worked well. I didn't see a safe. Location is excellent as it is central, flat section of Valparaiso, very close to the por... Read more

Arrived at midday-couldn't book in. Had to wait till 3 pm. Would not even do paperwork till 3 pm which meant there was a big line up. Put luggage into storage. When we tried to get it out at 3pm and they were having trouble locating it as they separated pieces and stored them all over the storage area. It took over 10 minutes to locate my last bag and I had to go with them into the storage area to find it. I was not the only customer who had this issue. Totally disorganised. Room typical Ibis... Thumbs up for the view we got after asking to change the room. Too many people on the reception upon arrival and the receptionist still managed to pick up the phone during our check in while 3 others were looking at her. Breakfast standard Ibis The beds are not the same as in Europe. Some silicone in the shower would be nice. Still waiting for the points to be credited on my card Le Club AccorHotels.

Amazing location, easy to get to the hills, harbor, and great restaurants (the best are in the cerros). Room was always very clean, however housekeeping forgot to put on a sheet twice of our 4 night stay. The best part of this hotel was Valentina. She is a true asset to your hotel. Always kind, so patient, and full of knowledge of the area with good recommendations. Always welcoming with a smile. Thank you Valentina and Ibis!

Stayed one night before a Cruise. Ideal location for cheap over night . Great value for money,. Staff were helpful, spoke good English. We had a quiet room spotlessly clean with en suite shower, but if you were facing the busy street or docks it could be noisy. .

As with all Ibis hotels we put up at in Chile, the rooms ( not very spacious we must admit) and bathrooms are spotless .But in my opinion, for the price, I am quite satisfied .Breakfast keep you going for the day and is real decent. Our room was facing the bay and at night, the view was magic. We did not find the area that unsafe. One has to be careful when one strolls around the very poor port area .
