Funky athmostphere, very nice area and excellent breakfast. The ironing board in the room was broken and I noticed only in the morning before a meeting. I called and took longer to get an other one, while I was getting concerned of being late. At my return as an apology from the hotel I found a note and a bottle of wine in the room, along with some munchies to go with the wine. It was a nice touch. Overall I very much enjoyed my stay and to my disappointment I discovered the infinity pool at... Read more

This hotel has a lot going for it. It has the W's hip lobby, a lively and cool rooftop pool and bar, a trendy Japanese restaurant and a great location. There is even a good coffee shop and a wine store around the corner. However, I was disappointed with my room. First of all, it was dark. There simply was not enough light especially over the "desk." Second, there was a serious shortage of electric plugs probably a function of the hotel's age. For example, there was no outlet at the "desk" ... Read more

I have stayed several times at the W Santiago and all have been great. The hotel has a hip cool vibe from the lobby to the room. As a platinum SPG member, they have several times upgraded me with very nice rooms. The rooftop bar has a great view of the city and is great in Summer, and Osaka restaurant at the lounge is awesome. I have always been treated superbly by all the staff and have great assistance from whatever whenever. To top it all of, the hotel has a great gym!

The staff at the W Santiago are great. Check in and out was a breeze. Andreas, the Concierge, was exceptional. As we're the bell hops (?) Martin and Bamba. The Hotel is well located near many activities and not far from downtown as well. The room was quiet and comfortable but perhaps a bit dated. The staff of the lounges were friendly but could learn from the hotel staff on what exceptional service is.

I stay with my wife in this hotel and we ask for a suite upgrade. The suite was spectacular with a amazing balcony and a great view (and it wasn't the biggest one). The attention was really good and the checkin/checkout process very fast. The food offered for room service is the downside of this hotel, because the restaurants are so good that every other food is like fast-food. I normally love W hotels, but this hotel did not live up to my expectations. While the hotel had a great rooftop and some good restaurants, it also had AWFUL internet connectivity and very poor room design. The light switches were so confusing that several times we gave up and got dressed in the dark - and even when the lights were on, the room was uncomfortably dark. The shower had no door, meaning showering was always drafty and cold. The bathrooms were all open (no shower door, bathtub in the... Read more

I have an emotional relationship with W Santiago. And there are no aspects that I believe this magnificent hotel should receive less than 5 stars. It's staff is the best I have ever seen, the structure is amazing, it is well located and safe and clean as it can be. I've stayed there basically every time I've been in Santiago and there had never been a reason to change hotels (if not when W was fully booked - which felt like an irony, just to remind how better W is comparable to other hotels in t... Overall a good stay. I'm an SPG Platinum member and I was able to check in early when I arrived around 10am (though, it was a Sunday morning in July, so I don't believe the hotel was fully booked). It was too cold to enjoy a drink at the rooftop bar, but the views from the bar were my favorite part of my stay. This is a luxury hotel located in a modern financial district of Santiago, an area that has a unique combination of office and residential modern buildings. Many restaurants are located in this neighbourhood. The hotel rooms are spacious but a refurbishing program should be started in the future. Just like most new W hotels, the hotel is upmarket, trendy and cool. The lobby resembles more like a club/lounge complete with a DJ on weekends. Lighting is dimmed all throughout. It is your typical W hotel, which is geared towards a younger clientele. The room (spectacular) is decent in size and features exceptionally high ceilings and a large balcony with views of the city. The Santiago W is centrally located and its entrance and lobby offer this special (and rather pleasant) atmosphere that often W's have. However the rooms are a disappointment: rather small and definitely not practical for the business traveler (inadequate lighting, tiny and rather inconvenient desk, noisy AC). The location is perfect if you plan on spending much time in Las Condes (most intl businesses are there).

The w santiago its in my opinion, the best hotel in santiago. First of all, the area where the hotel its located (el golf) its my favorite, everything you'll need you can get at walking distance, its a very safe area, full of restaurants and its just pretty itself. Take a walk around the hotel, you'll love it too. They have a great gym (really good group classes) and a spa. Rooms are fun and full of color, although, i do think they could use better lighting. Food its pretty good and what i lov... Read more

I have been there so many times I lost count. Hotel is great with an amazing service. They go the extra mile to help you and support you. My best analogy is that the hotel is the iPod of the hotels, where they thought about every detail: from the elevator carpet with different messages (good morning or good evening depending the time of the day), to the great amenities, the music,... Trendy deco (it could be to dark for a few), but with great views! I love the corner rooms, although the ones wit... Read more

More expensive than the USA. Service is ok at best. Food was also ok but nothing more. $50 plus tip is ridiculous for what you get. I was very disappointed. I would never go back. The god was cold and they covered the meat with heavy sauces so you couldn't taste the meat

I've always enjoyed the W concept, but this left me wanting a little. Was all just a little tired. Rooms, public areas, pool (a bit of elbow grease on the pools glass surround would make that stunning view pop a little more, and boy it's stunning), even some of the staff seemed a little tired. Just a bit worn out. Beautiful area and felt very safe. Maybe it's due a returb?

I stayed in the W for a week while on vacation, three days solo and two with friends. The staff was unbelievable, especially Oscar who helped me not only get my room early but a room with a balcony which made the stay perfect. After Oscar saved the day, the concierge and rest of the staff provided great recommendations for what to do (notably the vineyards we visited) and arranged a rental car with pickup at the hotel for a weekend excursion. I recommend everyone stay at the hotel and ask for... Read more

The hotel is not tired, as I saw another review say. It's a modern W. But I do feel the staff is less than "into it", at least the Lounge staff. Could care less about clients it feels. So not attentive. Seems the hotel is more into promoting itself to the local population as a place to hang out late night, than a place for the hotel guest. That said, the location is not good for being a tourist. Way too far from anything, besides the Metro and that odd newer shopping building (the tall one)... Read more

Well located, modern and stylish hotel, with the comfort and amenities that business men and families look for when being away from home. Fine service, fine breakfast, outstanding swimming pool and bar, top infrastructure that really makes feell "at home". One of best options for thise who come to Santiago. Enjoy!

Nice basic hotel - not amazing but not bad. Fairly average 4-5 star hotel. Staff are excellent, rooms ok. No coffee or tea making facilities in the room. When paying $250usd + per night for a standard room, I would expect them to include wifi at least! Breakfast is ok, coffee from a machine, no barista, poor pastry selection, but excellent cook to order product. Roof top pool bar excellent - views and service.

The stay was absolutely wonderful! We were welcomed so generously and completely by Oscar and he made us feel right at home. The property is so amazing, clean, beautiful and one of the best rooftops we've ever seen. We loved our room and the view. Not to mention the food we had at Osaka on the property---our best meals of the vacation and one of the best restaurants we've ever eaten at. The concierge service was also wonderful and they arranged everything we needed. We'd come back and stay ... Read more

We are two older people....60s...who enjoy having it nice when we travel. Staying at the W is one way to have it that way. This particular property is very nice and in an area that is trendy and relaxing. The breakfast buffet is totally great with so much on it that there is not excuse to go away hungry. The fruit section is the best and as it is beginning of summer here in Chile, there are lots of fresh and ripe fruits ....it was awesome! The rest of the hotel is good ....room service is good.... The hotel common areas are gorgeous and the staff are friendly- made our stay so much better. If you've stayed at a W, you know that you're going to pay for everything- breakfast, wifi, etc. Nothing is complimentary, even in a country where those things are standard. No problem with us, we expected it. What I wanted out of this hotel was the pool on the roof, which did not disappoint. However, I was extremely disappointed in our room. We stayed in a cool corner on the 9th floor, which was horren... Read more

What a disappointment was our arrival in the hotel. We expected a W hotel, like Amsterdam, las Vegas... But we got a worn out W hotel. Not very clean, neither the rooms, nor the rooftop bar. Everything a bit damaged, not really attractive. But the worst was the guy at the night reception, he lied to us, that the rooms where next to each other, he told us the hotel was full, so he could not change anything etc etc. Worst reception ever. We complained to the hotel, and the offered us a better roo... Read more
