Funky athmostphere, very nice area and excellent breakfast. The ironing board in the room was broken and I noticed only in the morning before a meeting. I called and took longer to get an other one, while I was getting concerned of being late. At my return as an apology from the hotel I found a note and a bottle of wine in the room, along with some munchies to go with the wine. It was a nice touch. Overall I very much enjoyed my stay and to my disappointment I discovered the infinity pool at... Read more

This hotel has a lot going for it. It has the W's hip lobby, a lively and cool rooftop pool and bar, a trendy Japanese restaurant and a great location. There is even a good coffee shop and a wine store around the corner. However, I was disappointed with my room. First of all, it was dark. There simply was not enough light especially over the "desk." Second, there was a serious shortage of electric plugs probably a function of the hotel's age. For example, there was no outlet at the "desk" ... Read more

My husband and I were on a wonderful cruise that went from Buenos Aires, Argentina to Santiago, Chile We made a reservation to stay at the W Hotel for the night of February 15 when we were to finish our cruise in Santiago. We were so excited to be able to stay in another W Hotel. On February 7, we were on a tour to Volunteer Point in the Falkland Islands to see the King Penguins and a Range Rover hit my husband and ran over his ankle. I have stayed several times at the W Santiago and all have been great. The hotel has a hip cool vibe from the lobby to the room. As a platinum SPG member, they have several times upgraded me with very nice rooms. The rooftop bar has a great view of the city and is great in Summer, and Osaka restaurant at the lounge is awesome. I have always been treated superbly by all the staff and have great assistance from whatever whenever. To top it all of, the hotel has a great gym!

This hotel, W Santiago, most definitely exceeded my expectations. The reception staff ( Lucie and others ) were very warm in welcoming us and very friendly. Really liked the hip and modern feel of the hotel. Reception is just really excellent, period!!! The concierge staff (especially Martin and Elias, Mark and others) were just spectacular. They are all so helpful and very efficient. They go out of their way to make everything perfect and just go the extra! Directions, great advice, make res... Read more

We spent three nights in W Santiago early May, and were very happy with the location, the offerings and the kindness of the staff at W Santiago. We had a spacious room with a huge balcony (with a wonderful view I'm sure, had the weather been other than ... foggy!). The hotel is located, in one of the best business/residential area of central Santiago, with subway station, restaurants and shopping mall within walking distance. The staff was particularly nice and helpful when needed and the breakf... Read more

The W Hotel continues to be the best choice when selecting a hotel in Santiago..I've stayed many times and each time I have been rewarded with great customer service. Recently, I had the pleasure of meeting Robinson as he assisted with my check in and luggage...he set the tone for the rest of my stay...Great job!

The staff at the W Santiago are great. Check in and out was a breeze. Andreas, the Concierge, was exceptional. As we're the bell hops (?) Martin and Bamba. The Hotel is well located near many activities and not far from downtown as well. The room was quiet and comfortable but perhaps a bit dated. The staff of the lounges were friendly but could learn from the hotel staff on what exceptional service is.

I stay with my wife in this hotel and we ask for a suite upgrade. The suite was spectacular with a amazing balcony and a great view (and it wasn't the biggest one). The attention was really good and the checkin/checkout process very fast. The food offered for room service is the downside of this hotel, because the restaurants are so good that every other food is like fast-food. We have a really good experience at this hotel, but is quite expensive, so prepare your wallet for one of the most ex... Read more

I normally love W hotels, but this hotel did not live up to my expectations. While the hotel had a great rooftop and some good restaurants, it also had AWFUL internet connectivity and very poor room design. The light switches were so confusing that several times we gave up and got dressed in the dark - and even when the lights were on, the room was uncomfortably dark. The shower had no door, meaning showering was always drafty and cold. The bathrooms were all open (no shower door, bathtub in the... Read more

I have an emotional relationship with W Santiago. And there are no aspects that I believe this magnificent hotel should receive less than 5 stars. It's staff is the best I have ever seen, the structure is amazing, it is well located and safe and clean as it can be. I've stayed there basically every time I've been in Santiago and there had never been a reason to change hotels (if not when W was fully booked - which felt like an irony, just to remind how better W is comparable to other hotels in t... I stayed at the W Santiago in June 2016 for the first time and it had some ups and downs, but overall it was a pleasant stay. Before my arrival I was not feeling well so I emailed the concierge Felipe and asked if he could arrange for a hot water kettle, some Vitamin C and honey to be in my room when I arrived. And so I arrive and voila, there were the items I had requested, duly delivered by Carolina (Whatever, Whenever representative) at my door the moment I arrived in my room. So this was fan... Overall a good stay. I'm an SPG Platinum member and I was able to check in early when I arrived around 10am (though, it was a Sunday morning in July, so I don't believe the hotel was fully booked). It was too cold to enjoy a drink at the rooftop bar, but the views from the bar were my favorite part of my stay. I got up early one morning to watch the sunrise over the Andes from the rooftop bar - terrific view! Breakfast was included in my room rate - it had a broad selection including a made-... Read more

This is a luxury hotel located in a modern financial district of Santiago, an area that has a unique combination of office and residential modern buildings. Many restaurants are located in this neighbourhood. The hotel rooms are spacious but a refurbishing program should be started in the future. On the last day of my stay there was no hot water on the 8th floor caused by a unexpected failure in the sanitary systems. When this was mentioned the management gave without asking for it a reasonable... Read more

I stayed here 6 nights for a work trip. The room was very pleasant, and the amenities were great for business travel (nice gym, provided breakfast with good choices). The neighborhood has a good assortment of restaurants, and is convenient to other areas of the city. What really made my stay, though, was the helpful staff: When I ended up with some unexpected freetime, Clara at the concierge desk booked a last-minute daytrip to wine country for me, and everyone at the front desk was quick to off... Just like most new W hotels, the hotel is upmarket, trendy and cool. The lobby resembles more like a club/lounge complete with a DJ on weekends. Lighting is dimmed all throughout. It is your typical W hotel, which is geared towards a younger clientele. The room (spectacular) is decent in size and features exceptionally high ceilings and a large balcony with views of the city. The bathroom is rather small and doesn't have a bathtub. It is spartan in design with slate tiles and grey wallpaper. ... Read more

Spent a week staying at the W Santiago for business and pleasure - staff very professional and extremely helpful. Rooms are very high standard, lots of room, clean and up to standard for the level of hotel. Outstanding rooftop bar with arguably the best views in town of the City and mountains. The Santiago W is centrally located and its entrance and lobby offer this special (and rather pleasant) atmosphere that often W's have. However the rooms are a disappointment: rather small and definitely not practical for the business traveler (inadequate lighting, tiny and rather inconvenient desk, noisy AC). Actually several businessmen and women stay there but I suspect their main motivation is their Starwood miles. I'm way beyond this point and after two consecutive stays I decided not to... Read more

This glory years of this hotel are obviously over. The rooms are worn out, though still nice, but not a five star level. We stayed as a couple on two occasion in this hotel. The first time the size of the room was apropriate and the check-in was fine. We did book a breakfast, which was a mistake. The offer of the breakfast buffet is good, but the service lacks a lot. Credit where credit is due the staff at the W are truly stand out. From reception, concierge, to the restaurant and cleaning staff everyone was friendly, helpful and welcoming which makes the W stand out from norm.
