I had a wonderful time at this great property. Friendly helpful staff. Gorgeous beach. Many close by terrific restaurants. If going to Grand Cayman this is where you should stay. The water is crystal clear and warm. All kinds of water sports activities.

The hotel is in great conditions, very updated, the service is superlative and the crew very helpful, nice and available. The only exception: our maids were very unsympathetic and rude, no problem, anyway very efficient. Suggestion: rent a car (remember, left drive... awkward), it is very cheap and it pays it in one supermarket purchase (breakfast in the hotel is paid, 70US$ for a couple): in the room the coffee for the coffee-maker is Starbucks and free (two bottles of water/day too), so we pr... We just finished one week at the Westin on Seven Mile Beach. Everything was great. Dolores our housekeeper was great. She stopped in every afternoon to see if we needed anything. All of the staff was very friendly. This is a great location right in the middle of the beach.

I have visited this hotel a few times, It is not far from the airport (about 7 miles and a $22 cab ride), the beach is just great. Unfortunately for me, it was undergoing a much needed facelift. The staff is great and they told me they are spending millions to renovate the hotel, so I am looking forward to the finished product, but I am afraid it may take some time.

Westin was our 2nd choice but have to say it was a great choice. Staff were amazing, Hotel was great, we just missed the start of the redevelopment so thats a plus. The beech and pool were never overcrowded and great Mojitos. You can walk to a lot of shops/restaurants so its in a good place, taxis and buses available all the time. Pizza delivery can be a little wait but hey just chill with a Mojito. I would say to anyone staying in the Caymans to get a car and take a trip around the Island.... Read more

Had a one week stay at The Westin 6/28-7/4. We checked in at 4pm and were advised that although they upgraded our room it was not ready. They provided us with a drink coupon (nice) and said they would come get us when the room was ready very soon. At 5:30pm we walked back in and found our room ready, but they had forgotten to get us. The room was clean and had a pool front balcony that also provided a view of the water, a small refrigerator that they stocked with two waters every night, a coffee... Read more

From the moment we arrived, we were treated as if we were family!! They greeted us with smiles. The resort was clean, beach was breathtaking, make sure you go snorkeling and the weather was absolutely awesome! If you plan on going, say hi to Kadean(,Brooklyn) Romeo, Nora, Dorreth. for they are the ones who took care of you on the beach, lounges, towels, umbrellas - always there to help with smiles on there faces! If you plan on heading out, here are a few places we ate that were fantastic! Eats... Read more

The hotel business is a service business, and providing excellent customer service is crucial to your success. This is especially true when things go wrong. Unfortunately, Veronica thinks it is not her problem, and she takes a dismissive attitude toward guest complaints. We have had problems every time we stayed at the Westin, and every time we dealt with Veronica we left dissatisfied. If you're looking for a place to stay that doesn't follow the Starwood rules or honor your reservation, the Wes... Read more

We came here for a day while docked at Grand Cayman with our cruise ship. Check-in was very smooth. The rooms are a little dated but I believe they're in keeping with other resorts around the island. The grounds are beautiful and immaculate and we thoroughly enjoyed our time at the beach and the pools. The poolside food was just average although service was wonderful. We would definitely come here again!

The staff was super accommodating. In particular, the concierge Rosanna was awesome. Room Service and restaurants were great. The pool area was beautiful but I rarely used it because the ocean was perfect. The servers on the beach were friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was beautiful and worth every penny!!

This is our third year in a row staying at the Westin in Grand Cayman. My husband and I have been to many Caribbean islands as well as spots in Mexico and this is the first place we've repeated our visit. The Westin has the best beach location and the water in front of the hotel is crystal clear. Very little rocks or sea grass and the beach is clean. They have plenty of lounges and umbrellas so you don't have to worry about running out to reserve one. The rooms are comfortable and clean. D... Read more

Although the construction going on in the hotel was not bothersome, the Westin provided us with extra amenities to make up for it. The staff was friendly and helpful and the hotel was very clean and had everything we wanted. I would definitely stay here again. The shops across the street were definitely convenient.

Nothing special about this resort - decent location on seven mile and convenient for diving as they have a shop on the resort. If you can find a good deal on a room and like being in the main resort area on 7 Mile, its a good choice.

My friends and I had the pleasure of dining at the Beach House last night and it was a truly magical night! The Beach House staff set up a lovely private table for 8, under a cabana right on the beach for us, which really made the evening extra special! Dining right on the beach made for incredible ambience! Omar and Vuk, our servers, took very good care of us all night. Omar particularly was very adept at making excellent dining suggestions and wine pairings. Omar definitely made it a wonde... Read more

This is our fourth Caribbean island in the past 8 years. I had some hesitation after reading the reviews, but I am familiar with the Westin chains and they met every expectation. In spite of the renovations taking place, it did not affect us having a good time. Because of the remodeling taking place, they provided (2) free drink tickets for adults. We also received an $80CI/$100US credit on our bill. One slip, my husband got locked out on the balcony for 40 minutes before they could work out t... Read more

Is this the Ritz- no, is it a nice hotel on an amazing stretch of beach? Yes! We had a wonderful time here with our two kids, ages 7 and 3. We would be the first foot prints on the beach and the last to leave. The beach side service was hit or miss, however, tipping does go a long way- after our first day on the beach, we were regularly tended to. The bartenders at the pool side bar, which I only visited when my 3 year old was napping on me, were always attentive and quick with their service. Ou... Read more

Had a good stay during the renovations from July 22 to July 29. The staff I thought were very good from the front desk/bell man Kirk was awesome as well as beach ambassador Linyton. Did not have any issues with securing a chair/ umbrella on the beach even during the afternoon after diving trips in the morning as there are plenty of chairs and people come and go. Sad though that the pool area will be changing and the nice palms will be torn down. The new plans are way too modern something you exp... Read more

We stayed here in February 2016, this is our second time in 3 years to Cayman and decided we wanted to make this our yearly February get-away. The great things were these: The beach is large and not overly crowded (ask for Dorit she will set you up with chairs and towels for beach & pool) The food is good for a hotel/resort we ate lunch beach side 3 out of the 10 days we were there. The Beach house restaurant at the Westin is excellent, ate there twice and would have eaten there our last night e... Read more

My husband and I had a wonderful vacation in Grand Cayman. We chose the Westin back in April before we knew they would be doing renovations during our stay in late July. I found out about the construction from visitor comments on the Westin Grand Cayman Facebook page. The week before our trip I emailed the property to inquire about which areas would be most affected during our stay. The reply, which included an apology for not contacting us by phone already, gave an overview of the renovations a... Read more

This was our 2nd stay in the hotel and we chose to come back since the kids love their pool and the beach. We were able to enjoy the pool for 3 days until they closed it on Aug 1 (and will remain closed for several months). Based on the pictures the pool bar will be gone :( It's a little confusing getting around the hotel since the whole lobby is also closed. We had to walk around outside of the hotel to get to the beach, the temporary lobby and the hotel restaurant. Still we enjoyed our stay a... Read more

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Westin for 10 days. Upon arrival we were surprised with being told that the pool is closed for renovations which we were not notified before booking the trip. They offered a complimentary breakfast buffet in substitution of the pool which was basically the same breakfast every day. The regular restaurants on the resort were overpriced (2 entrees of fish tacos, one appetizer of sweet potato fries and two soft drinks = $90 USD). Construction noises woke us up every... Read more

The Westin is in a great location, however, it's not up to par with my personal experiences with other Westin properties. The hotel is undergoing renovations and when we booked on Travelocity we weren't made aware of this. The hotel states that they're updating the pool and other public areas, however, the rooms are in dire need of updating. There are no vents in the bathrooms to pull out humidity, and it just continued to build up while we were staying there. We had water cut off without any ... Read more

While under construction, it is a bit noisy with jackhammers at the pool area. Beach is still beautiful and location right on SMB is the best. Walking distance to restaurants. Heavenly Bed still heavenly. Room rate lower because of construction so as long as you know before you go, all is well.
