This location was everything we needed it to be--free parking, big clean room, comfortable bed, and free generous breakfast. The staff was also very friendly, and even called a few minutes after we'd checked in to make sure everything was fine. The room prices were so good we even sprang for the jacuzzi room because why not! It was super nice--I'm sorry we got in so late and weren't able to enjoy it more! We stayed midweek and the hotel was relatively quiet, but I did notice that noise from the... Read more

We were visiting Windsor for a swim meet. I booked here because it was the only downtown hotel that offered a suite with two beds and a sofa bed. The room was very tired, furniture very scuffed and very dated decor. The bathroom fan was really loud and seemed to make the room shake! Having said that it was very clean and the staff were really nice. We didn't eat the breakfast but it looked good and the coffee was good. The neighbourhood was a little seedy but the location is close to downtown ... Read more

Very friendly professional check in. Rooms are very dated though. Not the cleanest...the mirror in the bathroom had splash marks from the previous people. Very thin walls. We were 4 adults in our room. Around midnight, we were having a conversation when the phone rang. It was the front desk asking us to turn the tv down. We were having a normal conversation, without having to speak over the tv. When asked if someone complained, she just said she could hear the tv when she did a walk by. ... Read more

The hotel is a bit tired but clean and comfortable. The rooms have a fridge, coffee maker, and microwave. Hot breakfast included, free parking and wifi. Bathroom was quite small but clean. I'd stay here again next time I'm in Windsor.

The directions were misleading so got lost on way there as wyandotte does not go right to the road off the Ambassador Bridge, so have to make two turns to get to this, and this is not explained anywhere on the website, so went a good 15 minutes out of our way, and had to find a place to stop and ask. The main parts of the hotel were old, and showing there wear. Staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was nice and big. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. Still a little disappointing fr... Read more

This hotel needs to be updated. Rooms were fine and beds were comfortable.10 minute walk to river. Breakfast was okay. They really need to improve their wifi...very slow in rooms! Other than that our stay was fine but nothing special.

Well, there's a lot of "action" in this area...and it's not the hotels fault that the area is sketchy. The hotel is surrounded by "things"---that make it sketchy. If I were alone, I would not feel safe!!! There was a group of us staying here. But then you're also minutes away walking from this in lovely downtown or a few minute drive from another lovely area, Walkerville. The casino is walking distance or a quick cab ride---we paid $6.00. There is also Jay the front desk receptionist who goes ... Read more

The good: Bed was comfortable, room was fairly clean, and Staff was friendly and helpful. I saw a response from the Hotel about renovations in the near future. These are long over due. I would bet the sofa-bed was original to the hotel from when it opened in the 70's?. We had parts of the bed falling off, duct tape holding the floor together and other things unexpected. No, it's not in the best part of town, but certainly not dangerous. Lead by example, this could be a very nice Hotel. As Ch... Read more

This was not my first choice for a hotel and after checking in I was trying to see if there were any other hotels available in the city. The staff is friendly and the beds are comfy but those are the only 2 positive things I have to say about this place. The wifi is absolutely terrible so be prepared to tether your phone or use mobile data. Rooms are dated and there was a large undistinguishable stain on my carpet, yuck.

Friday visit to the Caesars Casino. This property is in great shape and only a direct five block walk to the casino. The hotel itself is nice and more than met our expectations. Pleasant desk person at check in , helpful staff, and nice hot breakfast the next day. Both a microwave and mini frig in a large size room , Plus FREE parking. Unusual for most Downtown locations. No really negatives other than the wifi was a little slow. I would definitely recommend this hotel !

Positive is the excellent customer service, cozy room, great breakfast, free parking and great location, very close to the casino. Constructive criticism is the room had a stale smoke smell at first, the toilet when flushed would make a loud bang every time and the bed frame would give out, making a noise. I would recommend it because the price is favorable for this location.

When you first drive up to the front doors, the area in which the hotel is located in can seem as some have previously described as "sketchy". However once you enter the lobby it is quite nice. There is an updated breakfast area with complementary hot fresh coffee and fruit water made each day, an updated and clean washroom and some reading material set out. We checked in with Liz at the front desk. She was lovely!!! Very nice and polite. Liz was able to answer our questions without hesitation. ... Read more

This hotel was nice and clean. The staff was all very friendly and rooms perfectly fit the descriptions. This hotel is on the edge of a sketchy neighborhood, but only by a block. It is a short walk to everything from here. Where you catch the tunnel bus is about 1km and Oulette street restaurants & bars are less than that. Your stay even comes with a breakfast that includes sausage, eggs, yogurt, waffles & fresh fruit.

Check in was friendly and efficient. The room was acceptably clean but showing signs of age: the carpet had a strip that was repaired with a rubberized product that feels strange to step on, there was staining on the ceiling and the giant green Jacuzzi was dripping water all night. (Yes, the room had a giant green hot tub in the corner... it me me laugh.) Breakfast was hilarious as the "eggs" were simply presented as a giant brick 'o egg (see picture). I went for the waffles which were fine. C... Read more

I stayed here after business in Michigan as a base of operations for visiting Point Pelee National Park (about an hours drive east). The first night was paid for by my employer, the 2nd night I stayed on my Choice Privileges Points. Of the several Choice properties in Windsor the reward level (10k points) was considerably better (lower) and the accomodations were fine. As other reviewers noted its a bit dated and the neighborhood is kind of meh, looks to be an abandoned house right across the s... Read more
