Wonderful spot for a romantic or simply relaxing time in the middle of nature. Great outdoor hot tubs, wonderful soothing waterfalls and the 4th floor loft-style rooms in the main building are cozy and beautifully appointed!

This is a beautiful location. Unfortunately the food does not live up to the expectations for such a location. Service is just OK. They are not very flexible nor accommodating given it is suppose to be a higher end spa location. I would drop by for a drink by the waterfall but would go some where else in town for dinner.

The Mill is at a very nice location, near the falls in Wakefield. Perfect , calm location to relax. Walking distance to the village and located near the Gatineau Park. Service was very good at the restaurant, especially the gentlemen that served us at breakfast. Breakfast was very good but dinner was average considering the price. Although we ordered our steaks the same, one was medium, the other was on the rare side. Desserts were good. We used the spa services. The SPA was very clean and rela... Read more

The Wakefield Mill Hotel is a favourite spot of ours to come and relax. They offer outdoor hot tubs and a pool. There is also the Trans-Canada trails behind the Mill to enjoy nature walks or mountain biking. The rooms are spacious and clean. Unfortunately, we had a disappointing dinner service which we brought to the attention of the management. The Guest Services Manager quickly rectified the situation and we were very satisfied with the service. We look forward to our next visit.

Perfect place for a couples get away. Excellent cuisine and service. Your needs are attended to with great care and assurance that your stay will be a very pleasant one. We did not use the spa this time but the people we met who had seemed quite pleased with the experience there. We would certainly recommend The Wakefield Mill Inn to anyone and we have already shared our experience there with friends and acquaintances.

Brunch was good. The room was fine. Nothing special. We weren't there as a destination: it was a convenient location to stay. The brunch (included) added value to the price which was otherwise too much for what we got.

We used a gift certificate for brunch. It was very good food, and a beautiful setting. We sat in the sunroom part overlooking the rapids. Not a large dining room, and tables are quite close together, but this just adds to the ambiance. Very enjoyable. Would love to stay over in the hotel - another time!

Close to $500 for one night and two meals. Beautiful spot and landscaping. Lovely Pool. Good room with beautiful little patio near the pool. Nice staff. A little too close to the freeway (too much traffic noise). I found the food disappointing. I paid an upgrade fee for surf and turf. The lobster tail was the size of a shrimp and the steak mediocre at best. The 'full country breakfast' was a buffet with most of the dishes not warm enough.

Tonight we had a family dinner at the 'FINE DINING' restuarant to celebrate my Mother-in-Law's 88th birthday. We were eight and booked our reservation for 6pm. A very pleasant drive to a scenic restaurant in this well restored mill whose tables look over the banks of a waterfall. A diverse enough menu for light lunch. Always a place we enjoy to visit or stay and not far from home. My wife loves French cuisine food and the brunch on Sunday is always excellent. The only the thing we noticed that there is no printed menu for breakfast in the morning.

This is the second anniversary we have spent at the Wakefield Mill and both times we loved it. The location, a short and scenic walk to the village of Wakefield, is in a tree lined valley with a river running through it. Our room (both times) overlooked the falls in the back. The sound is so relaxing we left the windows open all night - although there is an excellent air conditioning system. The food in the Muse restaurant is excellent as are the breakfasts in their bistro/bar area. We us... Read more

Dinner was excellent, brunch was even better and all the staff we encountered or that took care of us were great and that's what always counts. Small issue with bathroom door that wouldn't close and AC that failed late at night, just a fluke, none of our guests had any issues and at checkout the staff were wonderful and made an adjustment for the inconvenience so all in all they are there to make sure things are as perfect as possible.

We spent a very nice day walking around looking at the beautiful scenery. We had a great dinner at the Heron, not big portions but enough to fill satisfied. The room was very nice and comfortable. We had breakfast at the Muse, then left. We didn't get to enjoy the pool or sauna because it was windy. Overall excellent!!

My partner and I stayed here in June and had a wonderful time. We stayed in the new eco building and it was like a spa! so relaxing and modern! We had dinner and entertainment in the town of Wakefield and then spent time under the full moon in the pool and hot tub. It was magical. The next day we had the buffet breakfast (amazing!) and then walked on some of the nearby paths and sat near the river and the waterfall. It was only one night but we came home refreshed and happy. Stayed one night at Wakefield Inn. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this location. The pool and hot tub were very much appreciated. The room was large with a rustic charm. Loved the hardwood floors and the 3 windows in the room. The 4 course dinner was good and the service was excellent. The breakfast was very good and service was again excellent. Very professionally run hotel. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a romantic getaway.

We loved our stay at the Wakefield Mill. If you are considering going, DO IT! So romantic, so quiet - we had a beautiful time there. The site is well taken care of, and conveniently located close to the quaint town of Wakefield. For dinner I would suggest going into town as the Muse restaurant is nice but overpriced for the experience. We had a few issues with our Spa reservation, we contacted the hotel and are waiting to hear back from them so we'll see what they say...

To start, the positive. We went early and before dinner. We enjoyed wonderfully-made drinks on a small deck overlooking the waterfalls and river. Definitely the highlight of our visit. The bartender was great. However, we thought the Muse restaurant was a little pretentious, pricey and lacking. In the English menu, some of the important words seemed to be Italian or some other language, maybe to give it a European feel. But the result was that appetizers and desserts were not what we wer... The Grand River Room that is advertised online is not what we experienced. For the same price (the most expensive available) you can win the lottery and get a spot in the brand new Eco Lodge. The website shows these rooms. I hear they're phenomenal. We lost the lottery and got a room in the old mill. While on paper, it had the same amenities, the disappointment you'll feel upon entering the room is profound. Perfectly situated at the edge of The Gatineau park. This old Mill converted into a hotel offers a perfect getaway. Even in late autumn the setting is beautiful. The room was very comfortable and hotel amenities were up to par. The restaurant offered a good menu. However, the breaded veal cutlet was disappointing. In addition, service at the restaurant, both for dinner as well as breakfast lacked refinement, to put it mildly. However, all in all, a nice place.
