Wonderful spot for a romantic or simply relaxing time in the middle of nature. Great outdoor hot tubs, wonderful soothing waterfalls and the 4th floor loft-style rooms in the main building are cozy and beautifully appointed!

This is a beautiful location. Unfortunately the food does not live up to the expectations for such a location. Service is just OK. They are not very flexible nor accommodating given it is suppose to be a higher end spa location. I would drop by for a drink by the waterfall but would go some where else in town for dinner.

Saw a great show at the Blacksheep and then enjoyed a comfortable night in the country. Tip...ask for the ground floor facing the river in the new building...perfect location. Kind of felt we were at a cottage - with extra amenities! Rooms have a special rate if you show them your tickets.

The Mill is at a very nice location, near the falls in Wakefield. Perfect , calm location to relax. Walking distance to the village and located near the Gatineau Park. Service was very good at the restaurant, especially the gentlemen that served us at breakfast. Breakfast was very good but dinner was average considering the price. Although we ordered our steaks the same, one was medium, the other was on the rare side. Desserts were good. We used the spa services. The SPA was very clean and rela... Read more

The Wakefield Mill Hotel is a favourite spot of ours to come and relax. They offer outdoor hot tubs and a pool. There is also the Trans-Canada trails behind the Mill to enjoy nature walks or mountain biking. The rooms are spacious and clean. Unfortunately, we had a disappointing dinner service which we brought to the attention of the management. The Guest Services Manager quickly rectified the situation and we were very satisfied with the service. We look forward to our next visit.

Stunning location, love the sound of the water! Excellent service and spa options. We were impressed by the discovery menu and service at Muse. We had a lovely relaxing and romantic get away. We also loved the yoga class! Best pedicure I have ever gotten!

Perfect place for a couples get away. Excellent cuisine and service. Your needs are attended to with great care and assurance that your stay will be a very pleasant one. We did not use the spa this time but the people we met who had seemed quite pleased with the experience there. We would certainly recommend The Wakefield Mill Inn to anyone and we have already shared our experience there with friends and acquaintances.

Brunch was good. The room was fine. Nothing special. We weren't there as a destination: it was a convenient location to stay. The brunch (included) added value to the price which was otherwise too much for what we got.

We used a gift certificate for brunch. It was very good food, and a beautiful setting. We sat in the sunroom part overlooking the rapids. Not a large dining room, and tables are quite close together, but this just adds to the ambiance. Very enjoyable. Would love to stay over in the hotel - another time!

For the price l paid. I thinks it's a little over exaggerated. All the same a good countryside trip. The lady did serve well. Coffee was never hot, a little cold. The cheese was stale but we were made to understand it was perfect.

Both my husband and I had a wonderful time at the Mill. We were so impressed with the staff and their kindness and professionalism and at times, witty banter between us. We fell in love with your beautiful establishment and all of the wonderful amenities that are available, from delicious foods to relaxing spa treatments...such a treat...thank you and we will be back.

I went for a girls getaway for one night to this beautiful, rustic, charming hotel. Our room was great and close to the pool. We each had a wonderful massage when we arrived which was booked ahead of time. The staff are so friendly and helpful. For dinner I chose the surf and turf and crème brulée, it was delicious and everything was cooked to perfection, the service was great and fast even though they had warned us it might be slow the reason being they had a group to cater to. This was my third time at this motel... The room was not that clean ...we had a hard time getting the heat going...there was no bathroom fan in our room we had to open the window such kind of defeated the purpose of heating up the room. The rooms are nothing astonishing .washrooms very plain.. The breakfast was nothing spectacular. We had to wait almost 45 minutes for the omelet cook to show up...god knows where he was???? all of this for $329.00. Very pricy for what you get....I m never going b... Read more

Fantastic place to celebrate friendship. A short walk to great trails meant we were deep in the beautiful forest in no time. Being near sound of the falls and water running over the rocks was very soothing and peaceful. I will definitely be back.

Close to $500 for one night and two meals. Beautiful spot and landscaping. Lovely Pool. Good room with beautiful little patio near the pool. Nice staff. A little too close to the freeway (too much traffic noise). I found the food disappointing. I paid an upgrade fee for surf and turf. The lobster tail was the size of a shrimp and the steak mediocre at best. The 'full country breakfast' was a buffet with most of the dishes not warm enough.

A lovely experience! A real get away. My husband and I stayed there for two nights. We enjoyed the spa and local pubs which were a a quick walk from the inn. I found the bed to be extremely comfortable and the room to be quaint and very clean. We will make a point to return to the Inn in the near future.

This was our 3rd stay at the Hotel and was very relaxing. We love the location and really enjoyed the spa, the hot tub, and pool. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. A few negatives - our dinner at Heron took over an hour to arrive and the steak was below par. The menu is fairly limited --- especially if you are looking for a quick bite for lunch. Next time we visit we will explore some of the other restaurants in Wakefield as they are in walking distance. The A/c in the room was ver... Read more

The inn is in a beautiful setting. A refurbished old mill over looking a picturesque water fall. Have stayed several times over the last few years and this time something really stuck to us. When checking in we were informed that gratuities were included in the bill. This was likely due to our purchase of a package that included Dinner and Breakfast. The dinner is sold as fine dining, and in general the expectations set that the service level would be high. The food was quite good, the service ... Read more

The location would be difficult to beat. The service and food in this hotel are both very good. Bar staff and cleaners were very pleasant but the front desk staff not so much. We had a basic room which we hadn't realised until we arrived and as the hotel was full with a corporate booking we couldn't upgrade. The a/c was unbearably noisy but Necessary with the wonderful weather. There wasn't a fridge or a safe in the room. There was a coffee machine but no way to make tea ( I'm allergic to coffee... Tonight we had a family dinner at the 'FINE DINING' restuarant to celebrate my Mother-in-Law's 88th birthday. We were eight and booked our reservation for 6pm. We were advised by our waiter there would be a delay of 10-15 minutes between each course because they were extra busy. This was a gross underestimation. Between the appetizers and main course the wait was almost an hour and the main courses were all cold when they arrived. When we complained the plates were returned to the kitchen. ... Read more

Another great event at this venue. Old mill converted into spa, restaurant, hotel and bar. Exceptional food service. Staff is very attentive to your needs. This is my third time. Loved every time we come here for an event or just dinner. Romantic and even has a small conference area. The view of the falls is wonderful. Highly recommended. Merci!!!!!

Staff was very friendly and helpful but food was rather disappointing for such a highly rated inn and restaurant. The waterfall and grounds were beautiful but not enough to sustain the inn without backing it up with excellent food and accommodations. Our room was nice but we were surprised it was considered an upgrade. Breakfast food is very good. Breakfast staff are great. Wifi internet is good. Front desk staff are not bad but they could improve their hospitality. Rooms need some renovation as wooden floor is noisey, bed comfort is average and furniture is old. The value you get for what you pay is low.

We loved the spa service, we loved the scenery, we loved the decor and ambiance of the entire facilities. If you can get a room in the Eco Lodge, then definitely go for it. Service at the Muse restaurant was below expectation. I guess we hit a bad day on a Sunday evening. We left to have dinner elsewhere because could not get any information out the waitress about the chefs discovery menu. We were left to pick what we did not want in the table d'hote menu. Room was OK, the site was great. Cannot let a bad apple spoil the batch, I still have my gift cards that I have to use. I will provide feedback again.
