We're a family of 4 (with kids aged 7 & 5) staying at this hotel for 3 nights in late May in a deluxe 1 bdrm. Everything positive we read is true: modern, clean, comfy rooms, great looking and unique lobby with a koi fish pond which the kids loved. Location is amazing, within 5-10 minutes on foot from family-friendly attractions like the Royal BC Museum, Miniature World, parliament building, the inner harbour, etc. We have a "kitchenette", which is practically a full kitchen minus an oven and 2 ... I have stayed at this hotel twice and highly recommend it. It is within walking distance of downtown Victoria, the harbour, many restaurants and bars. The coffee shop in the hotel is nice but the service is extremely slow. You can wait up to 20 minutes to get a black tea to go. The hotel continental breakfast is a good option at $10.

We had such a wonderful time @ The Parkside Hotel & Spa from June 24th ~ 26th. Parking & Check-In were very easy & convenient. At least 2~3 smiling faces @ Front desk were always available, and they were very knowledgeable about the ongoing events & activities nearby the hotel. As soon as we made a reservation a month prior to our visit, we notified the hotel how we plan to visit with our little baby. We were particularly impressed as soon as we walked into the room, because the Front Desk sp... Read more

The hotel looks modern and nice, but the attention to detail from staff and in the room is not consistent with a luxury hotel. Housekeeping barely straightened our room, it looked as if they didn't come except the bed was Partially made and they left a few extra packets of coffee. The room was big, but not practical. There was a nice entry area, but a tiny bedroom that was too small, meaning they could only include one nightstand. I think this building was designed to be condos rather than a hot... Read more

The Parkside Hotel was in a great location. Easy walk to many restaurants, shops and sighsteeing. We had a two bedroom suite each with a bath. The living and kitchen area was nice and there was a balcony off of the living room. Spent minimal time out there in the evening. Traffic is quite noisy so not really conducive to relaxing in the evening. Although both bedrooms offered attached bathrooms I found them in need of some change. One bathroom had a huge soaking tub only. While this look... Read more

This hotel is in a prime location across from St. Anne's Academy, walking distance to the Empress and near Beacon Hill Park. A lovely quiet area with full kitchen and very modern. The drawback is the lack of A/C. In warm weather, the suites can be too warm but usually there is a breeze. Also, being a Green hotel, the water pressure in the shower is low.
