The hotel is pretty much brand new, so as can be expected, everything is nice, working, and working. I appreciated that my room had lots of space, comfortable beds, and an easy to use on-the-wall heat & A/C control. I really appreciated the 8 or 10 plug ins and i thin 4 or 5 USB charger plugins for devices, and the flexible lighting giving visitors the ability to have a brightly lit room, or more subdued lighting if they prefer. The staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast had the typical... Read more

This a new and modern hotel well situated for sightseeing in Victoria. Great breakfast included. Small but nice pool. The staff were helpful and our room was large and very comfortable bed. Lots of great places to eat ideal for different budgets.

We stayed here when we went to a workshop at Royal Roads University. This hotel was the most convenient one to that spot. It is right across from an entrance to the Galloping Goose trail system that takes you right to the University. The hotel itself was very comfortable. Two nice queen beds. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The breakfast was fine and everything we needed. I would definitely stay here again.

I was very happy to find this new hotel close in Colwood, less than 5 minutes away from the village of Langford. The room was a great size and, being new was extremely clean. There were lots of well thought out details like the number and locations of electric outlets, USB plugs and light switches. The staff was helpful and friendly, and the breakfast was good. Be careful with the hotel guide book in the room...many of the restuarants and churches that were recommended were 15-20 minutes away in... Read more

Looks newly built and still some new paint smell in guest room. Spacious room with in style furniture. Pillow and bed are very comfortable. The breakfast is standard in this level, good enough but not exceptional. This hotel's breakfast session ends at 9:30 am from Monday to Friday and extends to 10am on weekends. We feel 9:30am is earlier and 10am is better if possible. Our family member took care of kids thus had the breakfast late and found some of food container were empty. We feel not gett... Read more

While it is out of Victoria's action, the hotel is easy to find and with a lot of dining options. The rooms are clean and big. The staff is great as well. Hotel will greet you with discount coupons for the restaurants in the surrounding and you can find convenience stores all around, walking distance.

This hotel is spotless and the staff were so friendly. Our room was extremely comfortable and it was the first hotel that really felt like home. Lots of room, a great pool and a fabulous free breakfast. So many little restaurants within 5 min walking distance too! We would definitely stay again.

This is a new HIE hotel which has been well designed and located. We were warmly welcomed and my Platinum status was immediately recognised as we had been given an upgrading to our room, which was was spacious, quiet and everything functioned as expected. We found all the staff who we came into contact with very helpful and completely customer focused. The inclusive breakfast was the usual HIE menu and it was well presented and plentiful. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites in Victoria b.c. for one week and glad we did. Was told hotel opened 7 months ago. Everthing is still very new. Room is nice, modern, big and comfortable. Staff are nice, courteous and helpful. Breakfast included. Parking is free. Hotel is 20 minutes from Victoria downtown, few minutes from Hatley Castle where they filmed Xmen. Frisgard light house is 5 minutes away. Ziplining is 15 minutes nearby. Stayed at this property for the second time on a business trip. Many of the positives from the first trip were still there. The rooms are large, modern and well appointed. The lighting is good, the internet is relatively fast and stable and there are several power outlets. Staff is excellent, there is lots of parking below the building and the breakfast lounge has lots of room and a pretty good selection. My room (416) is the second floor from the top. On all 3 nights I stayed I could hear eit... Read more

New hotel, good rooms and housekeeping with a decent breakfast. Front desk staff are hit and miss regarding customer service. I recommend that they take extra courses on customer service! The strangest thing that I encountered at this hotel was the security safe. It is fastened to the bottom of the wardrobe only inches off the floor. You have to go down on all fours to access it. Then you find that the front display is all in black plastic so you can not see the code buttons at all unless you to... Read more

This place is a treat! Brand new, Everything was clean and comfortable. The staff is very helpful and the breakfast is really amazing. Not like any other continental breakfast. Will stay here every time I go to Victoria and highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Secure underground parking too! The only suggestion I would give them is please change the coffee!

We got in late and left early, so didn't see much of the hotel, but the room was large and clean. The breakfast was probably the best I've had at a HiEx. It was the standard fare, but all seemed really fresh and they were constantly restocking the cooked items. Close to the highway so it makes a great stop on a road trip.

Nice hotel. appears to be very new. Nice interior décor and very clean. Small pool with no hot tub. Rooms were very spacious, clean and had modern furnishings. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room service seemed to be competent. Good location close to a lot of services in Colwood and a short drive Into Victoria depending on traffic. Beds were okay firm but not extreme. Pillows were a bit too soft for my liking. No end of bed throw so that you could rest on the bed with your shoes still on.

We stayed here because it was very handy to the Victoria General Hospital, with easy access both to, and from the hospital. The décor is bright and cheery; the staff is most obliging; and the hot breakfast is good and plentiful. There are several restaurants nereby, as is the View Royal Casino. They have a special rate for guests involved with the hospital.

We had a new, clean, nicely appointed suite with a microwave and mini fridge. The hotel is close to Rock the Shores event, near the highway to head up island and along side the Galloping Goose bike trail. A couple of touches I appreciated were the two sets of blinds on the openable windows (one sheer and one black out) and a night light in the bathroom. The breakfast was great, and when I and a number of other people arrived at 930 when it was supposed to end, Rose offered to reload the pancak... Read more

Arrived the Monday for 2 nights, reception staff fantastic, and helpful. Our daughter was poorly and they accommodated us with a smile. Breakfast was fine (included) and was busy but they opened up extra room for us. Extremely clean, bit for us it was the staff that made it reception, housekeeping, breakfast. We have been to provide hotels but staff weren't half as helpful date I say it happy as other places. So thank you!

A very European type of hotel. Extremely functional spacious rooms which we really appreciated. Very busy at breakfast. Unfortunately a lot of street noise. We kept the fan on to block it out. Housekeeping came very late in the day after we had returned to the hotel. Well located for visiting Victoria. Make sure to see nearby Fort Rodd, lovely setting and lighthouse.

This accommodation is found in the west "suburbs" of Victoria but easy access to the harbour area. The rooms were spacious, very up to date and oh so clean and fresh having been open for 6 months. The breakfast options were plentiful; the area was kept clean and well-supplied by conscientious staff. There are many services available convenient to this location.

Pros: 1. Modern, clean hotel - all communal areas are well-decorated and in good repair. 2. Good-sized rooms - easily accommodated our family of five (and all of our luggage for a three-week trip!). Well-equipped with good-sized bathroom (with bath, not just shower), microwave and mini-fridge. 3. Buffet breakfast included - rare offering for hotels in North America but very welcome as it takes the hassle out of trying to find a place to eat breakfast with three young children. Staff was great especially the front desk person (AJ, I think) who was welcoming and gave us great advice on sightseeing including some ideas right near the hotel. Holiday inn Express lived up to what I have come to expect from Holiday Inn Expresses; descent sized, clean room, nice complementary breakfast, coffee available all day. The pool was rather small and no spa, but didn't come to Vancouver Island to swim in a pool. For sightseers this hotel works if you are planning to rent a car as we d... Read more

We stayed 3 nights in this hotel and we love it. Hotel is new and everything inside is new as well. Very clean, quiet place. Hotel location is outside of downtown Victoria but easily accessible. If you don't have a car, a bus stop is just across the street. Bus brings you to Victoria downtown in ~20 minutes. By the way, buses are very comfortable, 2 floors with very good observation. I loved this hotel. It's very new, and Holiday Inn came through with things that are important to me. There were actually more than enough ways to charge my devices. I especially appreciated that there were direct usb ports, so I didn't need to have brought a wall adapter. Even better, all of the ports for the TV were on the wall below the monitor. I travel with Google ChromeCast, and it's sometimes hard to access the HDMI port behind TV monitors. Here, it couldn't have been easier. Blackout ... Read more

We stayed at this Holiday Inn for a couple of nights last month. It is a brand new hotel that has just opened for a few months. Its location is about 15 minutes away from downtown. We stayed in here while visiting Victoria. It is not too far from the downtown. The hotel looks new with a modern design. Very quiet. The rooms are nicely decorated, the breakfast is ok. The ladies in the breakfast area were working hard to make sure all the food and drink stations are full, and all the breakfast area is nice and clean. The pool was a little small. Nice stay along the main corridor in Colwood and near the main drag into Victoria. This contemporary setting and new build has neat technology plug-ins (USB, iPhone/iPad) conveniently located throughout the room--something I haven't seen before in any hotel.
