Close to shopping on Robson Street and close to BC place. Main lobby is one floor up. Rooms are well appointed and up to Westin Standards. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Only complaint was that there are only two elevators for a 30 plus story building which means you can be waiting for a elevator from time to time.

This was my first stay at this hotel after visiting Vancouver for the past 15 years. On this visit decided to stay in a different area. Found this newly renovated hotel to be extremely comfortable, located near Yaletown, and lots of cool restaurants. I would definitely stay here, again. And if you have a chance to eat in the restaurant, be sure to order the Chicken Avocado salad......delicious, flavorful and lick the plate awesome.

This Westin Property is right in the heart of Vancouver and typical Westin Quality. It can be pricey, but I had a group rate that was not bad. The service is excellent. The room while a little dated was updated and very clean. Great shower and bed. Easy 5 min walk from the rapid transit that takes about 30 min. from the airport, it is $7.50 from the airport. You can walk to many sites and is close to many restaurants of all types and prices.

We highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Vancouver. It is close to shopping and trains, as well as the Stadium. Easy walking around Vancouver, plus a 24 hr Tim Horton's next door and an IGA supermarket 2 doors down. With small kitchen in the suite, easy meals can be prepared. However, there are plenty of eating options nearby. Two tvs, one in bedroom, one in living area, and a large well appointed bathroom. Service in the Lobby (level1) is excellent, and by joining their guest program (free)... Read more

Stopped in Westin Grand for four nights before boarding Rocky Mountaineer. Apartment was excellent and staff were wonderful. Exemplary standard of guest service, nothing was too much trouble. Especially Concierge who helped plan our days. Food in hotel restaurant was excellent also as was pool and spa facilities. Would definately recommend as place to stay in Vancouver.

This hotel was within walking distance to many restaurants, buses, and tours. Our suite was roomy, clean, comfortable, and had a great view of the city from two sides. The staff was knowledgeable about the area and very friendly. Big shout out to Lisa and Katrina at the Concierge desk for all their help in planning the best way to see Vancouver in just a couple of days. The only cons were that they did not offer shuttle service to the airport and did not offer free internet service. We would ... Read more

First the hotel is located in walking distance of many sites you will want to see. The hotel is very nice and extremely clean. Rooms are big and very comfortable. We had a king size bed and sleep like babies. Lisa the concierge was nothing short of wonderful. She really went out of her way to help us in all areas, such as directions, where to eat, travel options...she was outstanding and really cared about our trip being fun. Would go there again.

The Westin Grand Hotel Vancouver is perfectly located in the center of Vancouver just a few blocks from the main shopping area with its fine n various restaurants and cafes. Westin talents are really friendly and helpful making the hotel a top choice for holidays/business/family traveling. Rooms are nicely renovated, I had a even small balcony in my cornerroom suite and a mini kitchen with micromave etc. Not to forget Westin's awardwinning "heavenly bed" which makes u sleep just like home. Very comfortable and clean. All suites. We are members of starwood points program and were upgraded to a deluxe sweet because it was available, as a minimal fee. We arrived from a cruise ship in the early morning ,3 couples and although the official check-in time was 3pm we all rec'd suites within an hour. The suites are spacious and have a very nice mini-kitchen with cooking facilities and even a dishwasher.

I stayed at the Westin Grand this time because the hotel i usually stayed at was fully booked. I have stayed at the Westin Harbour Castle and Westin Madrid in the past and i generally really like the brand as it is comfortable, clean and the standards are fairly global. Unfortunately, I was a little disappointed with my experience at the Westin Grand Vancouver. The hotel is an older building located on Robson & Hower. Top notch place with great location, staff attentive and rooms aptly cleaned. Good business center and an exceptional restaurant - that is unusual in my experience with most big hotels. I will definitely stay there again. The only thing I might comment upon is that the bathroom floors are terribly slippery, even when dry.

Stayed in a corner suite on the 16th floor. A very nice one bedroom suite with all the standard amenities and a decent but not spectacular view. The Westin is in a good location and I was able to easily walk everywhere I needed to go. Wifi is free if you are a member of the the Westin's loyalty program-I signed up at the Front desk and they gave me the free wifi immediately, for which I was grateful. Location, location, location! Easy five block walk (it's downhill) from the Vancouver City Centre exit of the Canada Line and about .75 miles to the cruise terminal. We are in a recently renovated room and is bigger than most rooms. Friendly staff. Only issue we had is we wanted two rooms for four people but two different configurations. Couldn't do that online; had to call the 800 number but that was extremely easy and my husband and I got an upgraded room. Yay!

The hotel is ok. Centrally located in Vancouver. But if you are looking for a quiet couples get away.... Do NOT stay here. It caters to families with young children. Which is great. But note that common areas, including the pool, are babysitters for their children. Not quiet or relaxing. Won't stay here again.

We just checked in to the Westin Grand today after spending three nights at the Four Seasons Whistler. I selected the Westin for its location and based on my very positive past experiences at many Westin hotels all over the world. The hotel needs a major upgrade (which is in progress) and while it says all suites the "studio" suite I selected for our daughter, husband and I is definitely not a suite though it has two queen beds which was my goal as my daughter always complains about the pull o... I stayed at the Grand Westin Vancouver for two nights- well one and a half really as I needed to leave for the airport at 11pm. This was the end of a month long holiday in Alaska and Canada. Apart from the suite style room (limited self catering is possible but I didn't need that)- I was very disappointed with this Westin. It does not live up to its brand and name. Is the Westin Grand...grand? Maybe not so much any more. Clean, efficient space? Yes. Is there a hotel in Vancouver with a better location? No. The old girl is plunked down in the middle of everything you'd want to see and do in V-town. Minutes of pleasant strolling gets you Gastown, Chinatown, the Aqua Ferry to Granville Island, Stanley Park and almost every restaurant worth trying to get into, to say nothing of close proximity to shopping at one off stores, boutiques and Malls. I was therefore not expecting a desk chair that looked like it had been bought from a discount office supply store - and which as on the verge of falling apart. I stayed in a newly renovated 1 BR suite that was most comfortable with a separate living room, mini bar, 2 TVs, and spacious bath. The hotel lobby, bar, and restaurant is under construction. There is a temporary check-in and no place for a drink or meal on premises. The room was nice and clean and housekeeping was attended properly each morning. The pool was nice but the gym a bit small and not very well appointed with equipment.

This hotel is in a great part of Vancouver, close to everything. We booked partly for this factor, and also because I wanted to stick with a Starwood hotel as they have been great in the past. The hotel staff were friendly and welcoming. We had noted when booking that some work was being done on the hotel at the time of our stay. But we had no idea just how much! Basically there was no lobby during our stay as it appeared to be under full re-construction. After dropping our car at the side ... Read more

We were not aware when booking their family holiday that there was a major remodelling of the public areas, restaurant, bar, lobby etc. It was raining throughout our stay and as 4 couples we were left with no communal areas to meet/relax. The staff did their best but we should have been made aware and would have gone elsewhere - felt cheated!

I travel 120 days or more for business, and I actually used to commute to Vancouver from Toronto each week. Yes, really. This was my go to hotel when I was commuting, and in a recent trip back to Vancouver I stayed there again. Westin has a really reliable brand and I find consistency across the chain which I really appreciate. I tend to stay in higher end hotels than Westin, but I am never usually disappointed when I stay in one. And the Westin Grand is great. It is an all suite hotel in t... Read more

The hotel lobby is currently under renovation, therefore we didn't get to enjoy it. But the construction did not affect us at all. Staff are very nice and helpful. We stayed in a 1-bedroom suite, room is spacious and clean. Lots of restaurants nearby, IGA supermarket is just few steps away. Friends who live in Vancouver all said I'm smart to choose this hotel

They are currently under going a remodel and have gone well out of their way to accommodate their guest. Looking forward to the end project. Other than the lobby the property remains in great shape , along with newly remodeled rooms.

Spent four nights at the Westin. This was our first time in Vancouver and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, giving us tips on what to see and where to eat. The hotel is extremely central and within walking distance of pretty much everything. The room was nice, clean and comfortable. The bed would have to have been the most comfortable bed that I have ever slept in. The view was fantastic especially at night. Would highly recommend a stay at the Westin!

My room was very spacious and had a beautiful view of the harbor. The hotel is in the midst of a renovation, but the staff was very friendly and accommodating. My only complaint is about the in-room coffee service. Although the room is equipped only with a single-serve coffee maker, the coffee pod provided was for a much larger machine. Overall had a great stay, and would stay here again.

My husband and I stayed for ten days in October 2016 while I had surgery. The room met our needs and then some. They even brought us in a small fridge. They met every one of our requests and more. I had to rush to Emergency in the middle of the night five days after my surgery and they assisted us in every way possible. Even though there is a huge renovation project happening and it must be very trying for the staff to put up with the inconvenience, not one staff member was critical of it. ... Read more

Stayed only for 1 night but wishing it was more. When we checked in we were offered an upgrade to the 29th floor in a newly renovated room. It was beautiful, the view was stunning . King size bed was so comfortable, bathroom crisp and clean, large sectional sofa, 2 tvs. I would definitely return for a longer stay. Staff is very friendly and eager to help.

Ok so I'm a lifetime platinum member and have stayed here a few times and have always like it. There are a few issues to note. The biggest is the hotel is doing reno's (glad to see hotel investing back in the property) so beware. Rooms are also being renovated. I was put in a "newly renovated" room which honestly I liked it more the way is was before. First off as a business person there is no phone at the desk in my "suite". There was one phone on the bed night stand and so I took a few c... Read more

Thank you, Jessie, for always going above and beyond. Even with small gestures, he has made my stays here a pleasant experience with excellent customer service at the dining room for breakfast. I have stayed at the Westin Grand in Vancouver for upwards of 60+ nights in the past 8 months as a business traveler. The waitstaff for the morning breakfast all have very good customer service, are friendly, and they are accommodating to all guests. And to top it off, the breakfast is the best quality am... First, the positives - good location, large rooms, reasonable rates, excellent bedding and sleep quality. The not so good - undergoing renovation - so some cramped common spaces, very inefficient utilization of space in the deluxe corner room with too many closets and cupboards, work desk with no power outlet, floors not reno-ed showing their age. Good customer service. Overall, very good value for money!

The only reason I didn't give this 2 stars is that the staff were wonderful, very friendly and helpful. However ... We were traveling as a family of 4 and booked a suite, then we upgraded to a better suite (Premier View Deluxe One Bedroom Suite with king bed in the bedroom and fold out queen sofa couch in the living room) that had been recently renovated. What a disappointment! The room was tiny. In fact, there was no way to get to the bathroom when the living room sofa bed was open. This room... Read more

We arrived for 4 nights on 22nd September. We were given room 1702 on the 17th floor. The room has a separate living area with a kitchenette which we found very handy as we bought breakfast from the supermarket a couple of doors down and made bagels each day. The only issue we had was that the fridge was not very cold, so you had to get ice from the machine for cold drinks. We found that the aircon in the bedroom area did not work as well as that in the living area. We‚??re not sure how ‚?... Read more
