Thank goodness I got in on the special convention rates. The hotel is dated and lacks the amenities and little touches that make a luxury hotel a real luxury hotel. This place is "basic". Staff were good. Room service guy was particularly kind and chipper (esp. for so early in the morning). I would say it lacks security. Compared to other Marriots the security was either lacking or very discreet. Still, I slept like a baby.... there is something in the air in these places....very com... Read more

Well located, especially if you are in need of a downtown or near the port hotel. Beautiful views of downtown, but not the harbor/ water. Small floors, so, no long corridors. Helpful staff. No evening concierge. Both tub and shower in our room. Pay parking is available. Happy hour in the bar from 3-6 for drinks and food.

For the money you pay to stay here, there are better hotels around downtown Vancouver that offer bigger rooms, better customer service and excellent connectivity. Coast Coal Harbour, Hyatt Regency, and others offer better amenities and vastly better customer service. As a standalone hotel it may be good and having stayed at Marriotts around the world, I have to say I like the brand. However, this particular hotel doesn't stand out especially in light of the competition around it. The room offe... Read more

Great location near Canada place and good room and leisure facilities. I felt scalped by having to pay $8/day plus tax for internet. Most places include this now so I see it as simply hidden room rate. Valet parking is $42 a day or part thereof plus tax so no cheap deal there.

Quite expensive, but the rooms are clean and comfortable, as to be expected. However, the view is obstructed. There are skyscrapers all around the building. The hotel is very close to downtown, the cruise terminal etc. It appeared to me that many cruise passenger groups stay here before or after the cruises. Quite crowded. The rooms are not completely dark at night - curtains don't close perfectly. The street is noisy and definitely you will hear it (10th floor). Also, the noise isolation toward... Read more

It's located in the center of downtown Vancouver. Just a few blocks away from the Canada Place. It is convenience to access major business and tour places in Vancouver. You even can take a walk along the sea-walk in front of Coal Harbor to go to the Stanley Park, the world biggest natural park in a city. A Starbucks just right cross the street. I tagged along during a business trip with my husband, which gave me lots of free time during the day to adventure through the city. The Pinnacle's central location set the perfect stage for taking a different route each day. We like to walk a city, so this locale was about 25 minutes from Vancouver Harbour and 10 from Sunset Beach Park. Bus stops are abundant and the bus system is pretty easy to navigate. The Marriott Downtown is located in quite a central area of Vancouver so you can get around on foot or short uber rides if you want to visit popular destinations. Was here for sevens rugby and it's I'd say a 10-15 minute walk to the stadium. The rooms are kinda old, and what's available the TV is just plain dated, this place needs some renovation. It's a Marriott but an average one at that, let's say I'd stay here again if I'm back in Vancouver and only if other mid level hotels are fully booke... Read more

Another quality Marriott hotel -- downtown in the heart of the city; next to US Consulate; one block from harbor, Olympic Cauldron, and terminals, both air and sea; and near public tourist transportation. Hotel services are excellent and allowed a late departure of 1600, which was perfect for our run to the airport. BTW, transportation to airport takes about 35 minutes and costs around CD35. But, if you want to be centrally located downtown, this is our first choice for great stay.

Sure, there are plenty of places from which to choose a stay here, but this place is great. The rooms are airy, comfortable, clean, and roomy, and the staff is very helpful with questions. The food in the hotel is superb, while expensive. One disappointment is that after waiting for luggage to be brought up to the room after one hour outside, I ended up getting them myself. I guess it was pretty busy, but I felt someone should have attended to that in a much shorter time, and honestly, I hav... Read more

Our room was a decent size (as was the bathroom), it was clean and comfortable. The staff were all very helpful and friendly, must give a special mention to Dwayne who waited on us at breakfast in the showcase restaurant,he is the nicest waiter we've ever met and took great care of us, also to Rajib (I think that was his name) who was also really frien... Centrally located hotel with excellent facilities. however certain shortfalls in service. breakfast choice was very limited compared with the Marriott in Calgary and the female waitress' attitude was appalling. she was surly, unhelpful and actually rude on two occasions. A pity as i expect and have always had excellent servi ce previously in other locations.

We stayed for 4 days over Labor Day weekend. The location is very convenient for walking downtown. The room felt a little worn out for a Marriott but considering that this hotel is often fully booked with no availability it doesn't hurt them!

Beautiful location, very nice room. I felt safe enough to go out at 6AM and run the seawall alone. I also think this is a great location for a gal's weekend. Walking to the cruise terminal is an easy 10 minutes with luggage. Lots of dinning options, hotel, waterfront and surrounding area.

A very professionally managed hotel. The rooms are a little on the cramped side, but the location makes up for this. Even though the hotel is very close to Waterfront, views of the actual waterfront are restricted because of tall buildings in front. The restaurant staff are really switched on and friendly. The hotel is a little pricey, but this is downtown Vancouver after all.

I stayed at the Marriott to attend a conference being held at the Vancouver Convention Center. The location was very convenient with a short 5 minute walk to the convention center. Room was small but the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The hotel was a short 5-10 minute walk from the Skytrain terminal so easy to get to from the Airport. I didn't have any meals at the hotel but my colleagues who did make use of the restaurant and bar complained of very slow service.

Stayed there for 5 days recently. We got a street facing corner room on the 28th floor. The room was kind of small due to its weird shape, but was very bright from the floor to ceiling windows. Three things stood out in the room. One, the strong odor of mildew when I first opened the shower door. Two, the extremely low bathtub. I think it would be suitable for bathing infants/toddlers/small dogs, but definitely not an adult. And three, the air conditioner with the ability to wake the dead. It w... Read more
