I have stayed several times at this hotel and have been satisfied every time. the rooms are clean, and the beds are good. The strength is that the rooms are suites with full kitchens. There are organic markets nearby to pick up produce and good food. For those who like to eat out, there are great restaurants on Robson.

Comfortable room. Great value with peraonalized service, feeling warm when I was a solo traveller. Facilities was a bit old, but acceptable. 8min bus to City Centre Skytrain station. 10min walk to Stanley Park. Many bicycle rentals nearby.

Great place for staying several days in Vancouver without breaking the bank. We had plenty of space and a kitchen in the mini-suite, as well as a great view of the city. We also enjoyed the bathtubs with jets. The location is great for walking through Downtown and the West End. Public transportation in Vancouver is very convenient, if you don't want to walk.

A good location on Robson Street though it takes some 8-10 minutes to walk to the nearest Skytrain station. Lots of restaurants on the same street so no worry about eating. Room is spacious, wifi is not working well only until the staff provided a better options. All in all, it worths the money and I recommend people to stay here if you plan to have a 4 days or above stay in the same hotel.

The Suites lived up to previous reviews, it was central to the city and close to the convention centre to which I attended for a conference. Booking several months earlier is the way to get a great rate. Housing keeping was good , the staff helpful to my needs and the room was comfortable The sleep quality I rated average, as I was out of sleep cycle, after travelling from Australia, and the rooms are not as sound proof as they could be

I wish I could say I had the most outstanding stay here at the Riviera; unfortunately, I myself and my dad ended up with an unwanted parting gift. Let's start with some of the positive things about this location: 1) Riviera is located in downtown/Robson Street so there's plenty of shopping and plenty of food 2) the hotel room was very accommodating to our needs: kitchen with plates, utensils, coffee maker, fridge 3) if you plan on going to the Capilano suspension bridge (highly suggest) there's ... The $230 per night price tag is the main thing that I didn't like, but I guess that's a low rate for Vancouver in the summer compared to others we looked at. All the standard amenities where provided, lots of towels, puffy pillows, overall it was quite comfortable. Having a balcony was a great feature as well as the proximity to shops/stores and restaurants. The room is in need of some "touch ups" with paint and attention to details (stains on fabric chairs/sofa) etc. Overall, I'd stay here agai... Read more

The apartment style rooms are great especially when travelling with children, however there was something to be desired for the cleanliness of the place... everything was sticky there was no way you could take your shoes off, and even the cupboards and counters were sticky. Not sure if dusting behind the couch had ever been done, we noticed when we pulled the couch bed out for my son. The baseboard were coming off from the walls and there was dirt and dust collected in there. There seemed to be ... Read more

No curtains on the windows only white ineffective blinds making it hard to sleep when the sun is up. There's only one elevator which is slow and too small for the size of the building. Be prepared to queue for the elevator! Location however is very good and if the price was about 30% cheaper it'd be a good option.

Great location for walking around the city or to Stanley Park. The hotel's decor was just so-so and could use some updating as well as a few repairs. The top (11th) floor offers large balconies for a couple of rooms which are great.

Everything good, only thing for improvement is shower+bath, is not practical as shower is at fixed, very low height, and you stand in a slippery bath. Better take the small bath out and update into a decent shower cabin. Fan is very noisy too, ventilation should be centralized. Also no fresh air ventilation possibility at night without having the outside traffic noise, nowadays there are window solutions for this.
