They have patched and attached so much to the television that you have to reset several times to get it to switch from analog to digital. However, we were in Vancouver, so other than trying to get the weather forecast, who needs TV?

Pinnacle hotel is a well appointed mid range hotel in Vancouver. The staff were friendly, the rooms were great and the food in the restaurant was good. Check in and out at peak times was a bit slow, but otherwise my overall experience was good and I would recommend others to stay there.

We stayed at the Pinnacle Harborfront for 2 nights before our cruise. People say to get a room on one of the upper floors, but the front desk said that our room on the 4th floor had a great view. It did! We looked out and watched the seaplanes, cruise liners, etc. and enjoyed every minute of it. This hotel is walkable to the cruise liner docks if you are boarding a ship. We also took the metro from the airport, which is about a 20 minute ride, and walked with our luggage a couple blocks to ... Read more

I frequent this hotel often. The beds are comfortable and views are amazing. I don't like the fact that there is no basic cable to watch, you have to rent something in order to use the tv. That being said they do have connections for laptops etc to connect to the tv and they have free wifi so you can always stream your own movies. The staff are friendly and it is in a great location.

Top dollar for a poorly maintained, shabby hotel with minimal service and bad food. Neither the TV or phone worked in our room. Housekeeping was inferior. Lobby was not well maintained. Dying flowers in the main lobby set the tone for our stay.

A nice big Hotel in an excellent location but I was disappointed with my room. There was a big stain on the sofa and even when the air con was off there was a noise from a fan in the ceiling.? I asked to change rooms but there were non available with an accessible shower. I think the rooms could do with a bit of an upgrade. After complaing I was refunded for a breakfast I had taken in my room. The staff were friendly and helpful and the courtesy car was an excellent idea which I used twice.

As soon as you walk in you would think you are walking into a 5* hotel. The lobby is lovely and the check in process was a breeze. I walk to the elevator and when I get in I may have walked into a time machine. The elevator, depending on your interpretation is either dated or charmingly old. The location is great with amazing views if you take the harbor facing rooms. On a clear day you can see Grouse Mountain and the sea planes land and takeoff. Its proximity to Canada Place, Stanley Park and GasTown is a major plus. The hotel rates are average for Vancouver. A big plus is an extremely friendly staff. I traveled to Vancouver for a high stakes exam and spent one night at the Pinnacle. I choose the Pinnacle due to proximity to the exam in the morning and I am so glad I did! Alex was fabulous! She welcomed me to the Pinnacle, arranged for a delayed check out (so I didn't have to worry about packing before the exam) and even sent me a good luck note and a voucher for complementary breakfast. The Coal Harbor area of Vancouver is a great area. Nice views, great walking/riding trail around the harbor (continues to Stanley Park), good restaurants etc. The hotel itself is okay at best. We arrived at 1:00pm from our train from Seattle and were told to come back in 2 hours when it's checkin time. Never had a hotel do that to me. The title of my review accurately sums up my thoughts on this hotel. The location is fantastic, views of Coal Harbour and steps away from the Olympic flame. The staff are great, rooms are clean and this would easily be a 4 star hotel if it weren't for the fact that the decor has seen better days and the entire hotel is in need of a renovation. We were delayed in Tokyo for 16 hours and so didn't arrive until 3am. I was able to email the hotel who thankfully held our room for us. I found the lifts tended to be a little noisy at night and could be heard in our room. We did have a view of the waterfront, but the hotel is not on the waterfront. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful and the use of the courtesy car to take us to the ship terminal was a boon.

the overall experience was very good. I was there for only one night and was out of the hotel most of the day sight seeing. With the little I saw, the staff were friendly, the service was good and very professional, the food was tasty. Having an airport shuttle would have been very nice

I am not joking when I say this is the only hotel I have ever stayed at with actual "high speed" internet. Even over WiFi (300mbps 5G N), I can stream video, download/upload at 50+ Mbps, and this is during peak evening hours. The rest of the hotel is average (see other reviews), but when I can actually watch a solid stream of HBO or Netflix using my US VPN, that gets 5 stars in my book. (Pro tip: unplug the "game control/MPI" cable from the back of the TV in order to enable the Input button on t... Read more

Great location, in close proximity to the Vancouver Convention Centre and very comfortable bed! The reclined sofa couch was certainly a plus. The room was maintained exceptionally well throughout my week-long stay.

Lovely Hotel, great location, walking distance to shopping, activities, restaurants. Very friendly and professional staff. We had our company Christmas party at the hotel, the room was nicely decorated and the food and beverages were terrific. The Bartender was professional, fun and made excellent drinks. We had brunch the next day in the restaurant and it was delicious.

Got a great deal so gave it a try. Location location location, Short walk to the seaside and all Vancouver has to offer. Fast check in, pleasant staff. Convenient parking which cost $27 for the night self park and Valet is available at a extra cost. The lobby is well maintained and has a elegant feel to it. Once you enter the elevators, the age of the hotel starts to show. The room was dated and the wall paper was bubbling in many places, but that is where the criticism ends. The room was impecc... Very nice lobby. Friendly and helpful staff. Room was ok looks like a nice room to the naked eye. When you look closer it is just an old room with new, poorly done wallpaper trim around the doors was poorly done. Taps leak.

Stayed on the 16 floor in harbour view room. Rooms were very clean and the house keeping staff was incredible. The rooms could use some better updates as the wallpaper was bubbling and the once modern feel has become outdated for present day. Overall I would stay again for the price. I would not use the valet service as not once did they assist me with putting things I my vehicle or even opening the door for my wife.

After an initially rocky start, we had a good stay here. While it was older, it was comfortable and cost less than newer hotels. The restaurant was good and had reasonable prices. They have a free shuttle to downtown locations during the day which was handy. Heating made a lot of noise though. But print out your reservation and bring it with you. We had reserved a "king cityview" room, and during checkin they said they were putting us in a room with two double beds. When I said we reserve... Read more

The Hotel is clean but in need of updating. It is showing it's age. The elevators are extremely slow. One of the two that service the underground parking was out of service for both days I was there. The bathtub tap was loose and the ceiling above the tub was cracked and peeling. I was there on a business meeting. The catered food was good. the location is within walking distance of Gastown, Vancouver Convention Centre, Stanley Park and the downtown core. There are lots of Hotels in the ar... Read more

Positive: room was good - large, well equipped for everyday travel.Great location near the waterfront. Negative: In room internet is extraordinarily poor. So slow it's almost not worth trying; frequent dropouts - trying to Skype is useless. Bar service on 2 of 3 night was woeful. Drinks not served as requested- no ice, no mixers, flat beer...and that's just my experience..observed others faring worse. Server's inability to process more than one request at a time frustrating.....one exception no... Read more
