This hotel was a nice older downtown building. It looked to be renovated not to long ago and the room and bathroom were clean and unique in design. The staff was helpful and polite. Our problem with recommending this hotel is that it is in an entertainment district with clubs adjacent to it so the noise level was quite high. Street noise was also very loud in the room. Also at this level of hotel some sort of breakfast option is usually available. We found out (to late) that there was a restaura... Read more

Overall, the hotel has a "old" look but do give a cozy feeling. Staff are generally helpful and the room rates may or may not be the best for a similar hotel within the same location. The rooms are exceptional small so unless you just need a place to drop your bags and don't plan to spend any time in the room I would recommend other hotels.

This hotel was booked through a travel agent however, after visiting Vancouver we could have done much better further up the street for the same price. This was certainly not to the standard we expected from Ramada - the hotel has had a "cover up" renovation but is in dire need of more work. Lifts are old/ slow, hotel has a musty aroma and archaic floors are hidden by carpet but give the impression you could be about to fall through them. On the 2nd night of our 5 night stay a water pipe broke a... Read more

I've been in this hotel just 2 nights and I think that is one of the worst hotel I stayed in. The hotel was dirty everywhere, the room, the elevator and the corridor in front of the rooms was smelly and dirty. The air conditioning was noisy and without it was too hot to sleep. The men and women at the reception were not so friendly and they took a fee to save the luggages for few hours. The hotel is in Granville Street, very central but the worst side of the city center! Excellent service at good price. Great location in downtown Vancouver. The building itself however is old with squeaky floors. We could hear steps from the room above and conversations from the room next door. Overall, accommodations are ok if you don't intend to stay all day in the room.

When first approaching this Hotel I was caught off guard, in fact, I walked by the front entrance initially as it doesn't jump out at you. Located amongst a varity of non-discript shops, bars, coffee shops etc., it simply did not have any appeal to me at all. The lobby was relatively clean but extremely outdated as was the rest of the hotel. Rooms were small and outdated and had a unique smell about them. The elevators were tiny and extremely outdated. We were not pleased overall with Vancouver but as far as the hotel, it was okay. It had a weird smell to it especially the room. The elevator was small and the hotel itself looked as if it had been added to several times.

The staff were great - friendly, helpful and knowledgable. There it ended. We had the misfortune to be on the first floor. You know when a herd of elephants run past and the ground shakes. That's what was happening on the floor above us. All night. So no soundproofing. Then the smell of the hallway when you step out of the lift was enough to make you gag. I would never recommend it.

We booked together with an other couple 2 rooms next to each other in september 2015. When we arrived (june 2016) it was not possible to have 2 rooms next to each other. Our room was a large suite, the other room was at a large distance at the other side of the hotel and was very very small. Sadly the management was not able to change the situation. I cannot imagine that you need more than 10 months to make a proper planning!

This trip, my wife was with me, so I wanted the points and more for her to have access to do, while I was gone all day. This location was ideal for her, access to Hop On Hop Off tour which stopped up the street one block. Room was tiny, but we managed and it was tidy and cozy. Staff was very good and we had no issues. We don't know the downtown Vancouver area very well. Was looking for a decent hotel for a family stay. The hotel is old. Elevators are tiny. Our room had a poorly operating A/C unit. This place is a dump, there's no nice way to say it. The location is 5 star, couldn't be better for downtown Vancouver. The hotel itself, however, is run down, smells terrible, needs a huge renovation and maintenance desperately. The bathroom was disgusting, shower in particular. Noise on Granville kept us awake all night, hotel can't be blamed for that though. For $350/night it was not worth it. I've stayed at nicer Super 8's than this place. Do not recommend.

The parking was horrible, their lot is tiny so you are basically forced to valet park, which means you have to wait for your car, and at one point we just had to leave the car in the middle of the lot because there was no place to put it, other than the parking lot and a random fire alarm at 12:45am it was a decent place.

Rooms are very small but for the price it is good. The front desk staff were excellent to deal with and very pleasant. The only negative is the area I didn't feel safe at the that end of Granville street. The City needs to have that area cleaned up with all the garbage lying around. I found when I went for a walk if I walked One block down onto Seymour and a completely different picture.

The members of the staaf ware very helpfull. I asked once for an advise and they helped me at once. And another time they helped me and i did not asked for it. So that was very nice. They do have internet, but this cab be better. It sometimes disappear.

This hotel was excellent for the price. I was upgraded to a suite upon checkin and that was a plus. The room was clean and spacious. However, the hotel is in a somewhat seedy area and I didn't feel too safe walking to downtown, which was only about 7 blocks from the hotel.

This was our first visit ever to Vancouver. I found the hotel to be clean & quiet. The only drawback is that there were no in hotel eating facilities but we did get a great discount from the pub next door.

This was a hotel that we could afford. There was an odour throughout the hotel and room. I am a smoker that faced a $250.00 fee if I smoked in the room, so I went to the street in order to do so. I think I should be entitled that same fee for having to breath the odour throughout this building.
