We stayed in this hotel for three nights following a cruise. We arrived early hoping to be able to store our bags but we were able to check into our room which was great. There was road work being done on the street in front of the hotel, but it wasn't an inconvenience since we were walking and took a cab from the pier. The room was spacious although the king size bed was a bit tightly placed into the room space. This is an older hotel and has a lot of character which I found charming, but t... Read more

It's slightly off the beaten path, but walk about two blocks and you're right in the hustle and bustle of downtown Vancouver. The rooms are reasonably priced, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The free breakfast was good but the breakfast room was way too hot. The rooms need some work, and my window opened to the alley so there was no view. It met my needs adequately, though, as I spent most of my time touring. There's a great diner right across the street and a classical music ... Read more

The surrounding area is not so nice. The staff were awesome. There is no restaurant within the hotel so you cannot have room service unless you order from the restaurant next door. There were little bugs running around in the bathroom, couldn't see on the dark carpet. It looked like a bullet hole in the ceiling. The rooms are very tiny. It was very noisy and the a/c was very noisy everytime it came on. I was awakened at 4:00 AM by the snoring of the person in the room beside mine. The wa... Read more

Had a wonderful time at Ramada Limited in Downtown Vancouver. The hotel was okay, but the service was very good! If you are looking to enjoy a hotel and be pampered by its amenities, this hotel definitely is not the one for you. However, if you are looking for GREAT location so that you can enjoy Downtown Vancouver spending most of our time out-and-about, then I'd highly recommend this hotel!

I've planned to stay for 2 weeks but left early due to the unacceptable room. The windows were blinded so that the guest wouldn't have to look at the concrete wall about 1,5 m from the window. Basically the room had no real windows. The floor was uneven and had a massive slope towards the door. Due to the lack of daylight and the brown/beige decor the room felt like a cell. This hotel was quite charming in an old time way. It was very solid with antique wood trim and squeaky floors that made me think of grand hotels of the mid 1900's! Our room was well appointed with a nice, comfy king size bed and a desk and chair to read by. The bathroom was large and newly renovated. Due to the age of the hotel, the room wasn't designed to hold a king size bed, but it worked out okay. Just a bit tight to get around it. The location couldn't be better. Close to restauran... The location was very good, it is walking distance to literally everything downtown. The building is old which is fine, but there were some drawbacks. The handle of the door to our room fell off, the locking mechanism didn't work consistently and we had to call the front desk for a maintenance man to come look at it, he didn't seem to care. The people at the front desk were fabulous. Always very helpful and good with information which was appreciated. Overall I would stay here again.

A travel agent had suggested this hotel. My reason for 4 instead of 5 was that the facility was a bit aged. The service all around was excellent - from the doorman to the knowledgeable and hard-working manager. The location was great for us (ages 7 to 87) - stores, Chinatown (be sure to experience the formal garden just off the main street) and restaurants within walking distance. Valet parking and holding baggage after check-out enabled us to sightsee before leaving Vancouver.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and they serve a good breakfast with some choice of menu, including eggs (so not all carbs), which we appreciated. We liked the hotel it is centrally located. Near the cruise dock. The only fault we found was the very poor lay out of the breakfast area. Caused much confusion, back tracking, trying to figure our where anything was. No rhyme or reason to it.

Hotel is at a very central location, a 5 to 10 min walk to gastown and 15 min to the waterfront. In the area are many homeless and beggers on the street but we always felt save in the hotel. The staff was very nice and helpful. Breakfast is nothing special when you are used to european standard but it was ok (fruit, cereals, toast).

This is an "older" hotel in downtown Vancouver that's has been nicely updated. We were only a few blocks from the cruise ship and the Pan Pacific Hotel, this made returning the car rental very easy. The neighborhood is a little sketchy but we felt safe going next door to the sports bar or across the street to eat. The staff is terrific, we pulled up in front and the bellman took all of our stuff in and to our room. The front desk clerk, a young woman, went above and beyond helping us. We so app... Read more

After we left our prepaid stay at the Ramada Limited Downtown, we were notified by our bank of two fraudulent charges on the credit card we registered at the hotel desk. Since no one else had seen our card, we suspect some misuse of our card by someone connected to the the hotel. When I notified Ramada Inn Customer service of this, I was told that this hotel was no longer part of their organization//even though it continues to bear the Ramada name. Something is very wrong here and requires inves... Read more

From start to finish this place is "THE PLACE" to stay! We arrive kinda late, about 8pm on a Thursday night til Saturday, unfortunately they were booked for our last night and now I know why. Everyone working there and I mean everyone that I've encountered, which was quite a bit of them, was accommodating and very polite! I will definitely stay here again and again, that's hoping they are not booked so I'd book earlier next time. Thank you all so very much for making our first stay in your cou... Read more

The front desk staff was topnotch. They were extremely helpful with suggestions on places to see and ways to get there. Also, when we told them we could hear the elevator ftom our room they were happy to move us.Rooms appeared to have been remodeled fairly recently and looked better than the lobby. Breakfast was included, but nothing to write about.

This hotel situated near the famous Gastown, Robson Street shopping and the waterfront including Canada place, convention Centre and all that the waterfront can offer. The hotel itself is a bit dated and the rooms are small but very comfy. The bed is ever so comfortable and after a long flight from Australia, it was most welcome. Staff are friendly and helpful

Super clean, convenient location, small room but cozy layout, quiet at night time, and friendly staff. But... the mattress I had was so so so saggy! It needs to go. I ended up sleeping perpendicular on the edge of the mattress where the feet usually are. That was the least saggy spot. Otherwise, it was a good stay.

This is a nice hotel! Our room was small but we were not in it very often so it wasn't a problem. It has a great location - every place we wanted to go was within a short walking distance or a quick cab ride away. A good continental breakfast was served every morning. All staff members were not only very helpful but also very kind to us. Stayed at the Ramada Limited for one night because it was within walking distance to the seaplane terminal and the Vancouver Convention Centre where I was attending an event. I have been in this hotel for 1 night. It has a good position close to the city center and downtown, the staff is nice, but the hotel is dirty. We arrived dinner time and the hall floor was dirty with food (tomatoes skins and bread). Elevator as well. Breakfast room is a basement and breakfast choice is very poor. I think that for the same price 160bucks) I could have found better.

We chose this location because we wanted to be downtown. I had read the previous reviews and was well aware of the parking situation and the basement breakfast. However, those are fairly minor issues. The breakfast was a little sparse but it sufficed and the parking was inconvenient but it was underground and secure. The front desk people were always friendly and courteous as was the valet. Our room was small but clean and comfortable. No reason to complain.
