Staff are friendly and helpful. Hotel is clean but rooms are quite small with a small double bed. The location isn't the greatest, the area it's in feels seedy and is on a main road so quite noisy. I would not recommend this hotel.

We had a really good stay. Our room was on top floor, facing the front. Street was busy and noisy, but the noise did not bother us. Went to school for 1 month in Downtown to improve our english skills. Housekeeping staff was very nice, we only wanted our room cleaned 2x a week, did not need more. All staff we found extremely helpful and nice. price was really good too. Room met our expectations. We knew what we are getting into, came here before for short stay, so sign up for school etc. Would r... Read more

Need to clarify the location of this hotel before the review. It is located in the "night-live" area of Vancouver. This is where most tourists stay unless you're driving a car which allow you to stay further out- suburbs. All the room facing the main street, Granville, will be noisy during the weekends, and should request a room in the back. The room was small, but nice, clean and comfortable. I didn't use any of the hotel's service so will not comment on them. The front desk was very frien... Read more

It is a ok hotel. The room itself is good, I liked the shower. However the location, although close to downtown, is not the best. There were a lot of homeless people around. No breakfast. But the manager was nice enough to let us leave the bags there for 2 days while we went to Victoria and also let us take our bikes up to the room.

The hotel is in a convenient location and staff was friendly enough. Not really any good window views from this location though. The music from bar downstairs was frustrating at 1:30 in the morning (we were on the first floor so I can't comment on the sound in other rooms.)

The room was a little dated but clean and the bed was comfortable. Could hear people walking around and talking upstairs but they quietened down for the night so not really an issue but it could be if they were the type to stay up all night. No issues re street/bar noise but after reading reviews I did ask and get a room towards the back. I felt it was a safe and secure establishment and the staff were all friendly and helpful. We stayed the night here before heading out for a cruise. First of all, the people of Vancouver are some of the nicest I have ever met. Secondly, while this hotel is a few blocks from the port, it is certainly not one I would dismiss. It has loads of character, and was very clean and quiet. I will definitely stay again in 2018 when we travel back to Vancouver. The staff was so very kind and helpful to us, and we had A LOT of questions. :) You will not regret staying at this quaint, sweet hotel.

Good location within walking distance of most of downtown Vancouver although the immediate area is a bit rundown and scruffy with numerous shop doorway dwellers and beggars. The hotel itself is adequate if a little tired in decor with only one working lift. Reception and cleaning staff were very pleasant and courteous. Front desk clerk is super nice but this is the most disappointing property I have stayed at in a long time! Defiantly not even close to being worth $260 a night- outdated small and worn down. Terrible stench outside ....more comparable to a dorm room than a hotel! Checking out a day early and carrying on to a better property. ū??©

My husband and I stayed here for a 4 day impromptu trip to Vancouver. The hotel location is great with a bus stop located right outside (we bought public transit passes for $9/day unlimited use which also is good for the sea bus) so it easy and cheap to explore. This was a pit stop for a night before leaving Vancouver the next day. No driveway so best to park car at vacant site next door. Granville Street is busy so road side drop off is a bit hazardous. Located closer to the Granville bridge (away from the waterfront), it's a bit of a long walk to the more touristy part of Vancouver. Perfect however, if you want to experience the bohemian part of Granville although on a Friday night, it does get a bit rough around this part of town. Check in was surly... Read more

We really loved the location of this hotel. The rooms were nice and clean. Following other's advice, we asked for a room in the back and higher up. It was a little noisy at night (homeless people going through the garbage cans) but with the air on it was fine. They have two elevators but one was out of service so it was always a wait for the working one. Lots of restaurants close by.

A funny smell throughout hotel. Room was too hot and air con too noisy. The combined noise from the air con in each room as well as lots of people noise made sleeping next to impossible. We could also hear the music from the club in the basement on the Friday and Saturday nights.
