Holiday Inn Vancouver Centre continues to be the hotel of choice on any visit to Vancouver. Yes, there are other great hotels in Vancouver but for overall satisfaction value and service, the Centre cannot be beat. From the friendly and very well trained front desk personnel to the floor service people and, of course, Paul for evening room service your stay will be very satisfying. Holiday Inn Vancouver Centre was a good choice for us for our two-day side trip after visiting friends in Seattle. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and we had all the amenities including good WiFi and a view of the mountains. There were plenty of restaurant choices in the neighborhood, including the restaurant in the hotel. The location was great because it was easy to come and go and we didn't experience the crowds of the downtown area. I would definitely recommend this hotel to ... Read more

Came to Vancouver after staying in a higher end hotel in Vegas for 5 days prior (Cosmopolitan) - wife and I both agree the Holiday Inn was much more pleasant, easier to use and more comfortable! Very convenient with many nice restaurants nearby (try Rogue!) and a comfortable walk to Granville Island. Rooms very quiet with excellent beds and pillows.

Just two blocks from the Train, conveniently way to get from and to the airport. The place is fine, what you expect of a Holiday Inn. From the Train Station you can be in downtown in 15 minutes after a 5 minute walk.

My family had a family emergency in Vancouver and we flew in on a few hours notice. We are a family of 5. We were needing to be near Vancouver General Hospital and this hotel is right behind it. There are only 2 hotels within a 5 min walk of this hospital. We found a suite (I'm not sure if it has actual suites with kitchens) with 2 queen beds and a sofa pull out. I find most hotels have 2 doubles, but this was 2 queen size beds which we prefer. Everything was fabulous. Black out curtains, it w... Read more

I really enjoyed staying at the Holiday Inn Vancouver Centre and found it to be professionally operated. The self park in their on-site covered parking lot was extremely handy (don't take a ticket as they'll put the $20 bucks charge on your hotel bill). Check-in was cheery and very informative, with a gift as an IHG Rewards member. I asked for and received a high floor, far from the elevator and very quiet. Nice area around the hotel, short walk to Granville Island and False Creek - downtown accessible from here in a fun Aquabus. Near the hotel are buses, Skytrain and taxis to downtown too. Rooms are clean and comfortable, don't bother with the balcony rooms, there is no furniture to sit out there on. Views away from Broadway might be better. Breakfast was good, just what we needed.

Breakfast was not included in our deal but I chose to pay for breakfast as I loved their fresh fruit and the cold buffet was better value than buying similar items at the Wholefoods store nearby. Check in was easy and immediate on arrival at 11:30am. We sometimes used the Skytrain, walking the couple of blocks to the station, but other times we walked all the way e.g. to Granville Island and Kitsilano Beach. Could walk everywhere i... Read more

We were referred to this hotel by the False Creek Surgery Centre when I recently travelled to Vancouver for surgery. We had a king-sized bed room on the 16th floor with a view down Broadway. The room was a decent size, clean and quiet. Check-in was quick and efficient and I have to thank front desk staff for moving things around when I had to stay an extra day so we wouldn't have to move rooms. As others have stated, the hotel is within easy walking distance to public transit, numerous restaura... Read more

This hotel is close to DT Vancouver, you need to take the 5min subway or taxi to get DT, parking is hard to find there, and very expensive. There are great restaurants close by and worth visiting them, not mentioned Yaletown area.

A week here while touring the area. Helpful, polite staff. Clean comfortable room. Ate a few nights in the restaurant where the menu was good, the food excellent and the staff friendly could not have been more helpful.

Very clean and comfortable room (only had an issue with some noise (sounded like ventilation / air conditioning fan from neighboring room). We were there on Canada day, so they had a cake available for guests. Staff was polite and helpful and it is close to DT Vancouver (it is possible to walk and take a ferry across or take the subway). We were able to relax. The gym and pool facilities were adequate (sometimes the room card wouldn't work, so another guest would have to let you in).

Only stayed one night pending our departure on a trip on the Rocky Mountaineer. The staff were excellent - friendly, efficient and helpful. Our room was modern and comfortable. Bathroom accessories, towels etc were high quality. They also provide a very good breakfast. There are restaurants and shops nearby though we stayed on a Sunday and most were, therefore, closed. Our only issue with the hotel was that it wasn't in the downtown area but over the river and so it didn't feel like the cen... Read more

I wanted to book a hotel downtown Vancouver. Admittedly, I failed to fully investigate this hotel's location, in part because I confused it with the Holiday Inn Express located downtown Vancouver. The "Vancouver Centre" designation also gives the uninitiated the sense that it is located downtown, which is not the case. Nonetheless, we managed to deal with the situation. Granville Island, which really is not an island at all, but a peninsula is about a 30 minute lovely walk, which worked we... Read more

Stayed for 3 nights in business. Hotel itself is quite good: comfortable bed, hot shower, reasonable breakfast. There is free wifi, though I found it a little slow. There is a fitness gym and small pool, fast dry cleaning service. Location is safe and reasonably central. But what really impressed me was how helpful the staff were. The front desk staff in particular were welcoming, efficient and helpful. I would stay again

Chose this hotel as close to our daughter's apartment in Olympic Village. Hotel as you would expect from a North American Holiday Inn. We had a lovely large room, with plenty of plugs. The walls are very thin, could hear conversations in next room. Avoid breakfast, quality of food was not good, choices of fruit juice Cranberry or Apple of poor quality? Location good for Sky train to Downtown or Airport. Plenty of restaurants & bars on Broadway.

Planned on staying 3 nights here but after seeing what I was paying for, I cancelled the last 2 nights. Almost $300 CAD per night plus parking and taxes per night for a small "standard" room with two double beds (no kings available.) The carpet was dirty, the linens and pillows old and worn. The bed was uncomfortable and couldn't wait to check out the next morning.

Very nice rooms with really comfortable beds. Easy to get to via Skytrain from the airport. If driving, then hotel parking is also fairly easy to access and it costs $20/day. It's a good place to be, if you need to be close to the Vancouver General Hospital. It's very easy to access downtown, either using public transit or via car, as well as other areas of Vancouver from here.

My wife and I were planning a vacation to Vancouver using our AIR MILES that were about to expire. Looking at our limited options I picked this hotel for an 8 night stay and held my breath. What a great choice! The room 1215 was lovely with a million dollar view of the waterfront and the mountains. It is situated in a lovely part of the city with good restaurants and bars close by (Very Safe Area to walk ). The room had a mini fridge, very comfortable beds, and attractive décor. We found this a comfortable hotel with helpful staff. The location was just right for us: 2 blocks from the Broadway-City Hall Skytrain station. The Skytrain goes to the airport in one direction and to downtown in the other. Leaving the hotel we could walks directly to restaurants, coffee shops and some shops. The room made a pleasing use of space, with attentive design in clear simple lines. Small, useful details such as a hook on the bathroom door (often missing in hotel rooms). There was al... Read more

I did not do my homework properly on this hotel (nor did I do the booking) and that is the reason why this was not the hotel for us. This hotel services the main hospital in Vancouver and is definately not in the main city area if this is what you want. As we checked in I grew increasingly wary with the poor attitude of the reception staff and asked to see the room. It was small and poorly furnished. My husband has medical issues and we really needed a clean place with space for a wheelchair t... Read more

The hotel is on Broadway, centered in the midst of great coffee shops and dining. It was clean and comfortable. I booked online , received my price, prepaid on my credit card, and at checkout was told that I had been under charged by $100.00. They added it to my bill. I didn't argue, but upon returning home I made mention of this on booking.com. The hotel manager contacted me within hrs, and informed me that my card had been reimbursed the difference. That was great service. I would stay there ... Read more

We stayed for two nights. The room had convenient areas to plug in our phones and iPad (which is often a problem in other hotels). The room was a good size. We had a nice view as well. Breakfast was included in the price of the room. It was an excellent buffet with lots of food choices.

Re Holiday Inn, W. Broadway, Vancouver-clean, pleasant staff: but please feel free to remember this.... 1) we are staying here only because they would not give us a refund when an MRI was cancelled last June through no fault of our own-so we had a credit to use(strike 1) 2) no security in the parking area-no gate, no card entry into the hotel(strike2) 3) at breakfast this morning I had a wrap, husband had the buffet and gave me a dim sum pork roll-the waitress immediately rushed over and said ... My partner and I chose this hotel for a long weekend in Vancouver. It looked like it would serve our needs well when we reserved and it lived up to our expectations. Location: Although not in the heart of the city, it??s within 2 blocks of the Canada Line, and directly on the express 99 bus route, so we could easily and quickly get anywhere we needed. And with restaurants of all price ranges and styles within a block or so of the hotel??plus a Whole Foods and a more conventional grocer??we ... Read more

Well run hotel in an excellent location, very clean very comfortable room, good bed and shower. Limited paid parking in basement car park, quite tight spaces but that's inevitable in a central location. Worth bargaining car parking space into booking cost if you have a car this is a very useful amenity. Efficient reception service. We didn't eat breakfast here but the setup looked practical rather than leisurely. We got a decent rate for this quality hotel in a downtown location, happy to recomm... Read more

Great location, nice views, slow lift. Long lines to check in and out and it took a month for my deposit to be refunded onto my credit card even though we were part of a pre paid tour. Good coffee from the cafe in the foyer.
