First of all I must say the views you can get from this hotel are incredible. We got lucky with a room on the 38th floor and it was a corner room. The location is also great as you are right on Robson and that made it so convenient for walking everywhere. The staff was also nice at check in and check out. Unfortunately that's all the positive stuff I can say, overall we felt like this place was quite dated for the price. The rooms could use a facelift, and when we asked for a wine opener one o... If you travel to Vancouver make sure you book this hotel. And make sure you have dinner during sunset in the revolving restaurant Cloud 9 on top of the hotel. Spectactular. The rest of the hotel is just good standard, absolutely clean, good beds, friendly staff. But the view from the top!

We were on the 20th floor which had incredible views of the city. The breakfast buffet in the revolving restaurant was just fair but got us set for the day. It also had a beautiful view and doesn't revolve at breakfast. It was close enough to walk to the cruise terminal.

The Empire Landmark Hotel is a highrise hotel. Great walking distance to many shops and restaurants. Walking distance to waterfront. 10 min. Walk. The hotel itself houses a beautiful if pricey rotating rooftop restaurant. Great to watch the sunset. Unfortunately not open just for coffee or cocktails. The rest of the hotel is a bit tired looking. Rooms in need of updating. Very old , small bathrooms with pull out taps that are very hard to regulate and have a tendency to spray the operator. I enjoyed my stay at the Empire Landmark. The front desk staff member left us with a very good first impression, as he was incredibly friendly. The hotel was spotless and the view from the room was the best part of the stay. Empire Landmark is located conveniently close to the beach and has a revolving restaurant very close by. Wonderful experience staying here. Thank you.

This hotel is unique in many ways. It has a revolving restaurant at the top and the rooms have balconies and depending on where you are located some impressive views of Vancouver and Coal Harbour. The rooms and bedding were comfortable. No Wi-Fi in the rooms however, only in the lobby. The doors also slammed and were loud. The bathrooms very, very dated, in need of updating. Location was great with many food choices within easy walking distance.

While a little tired, hotel is in great location downtown Vancouver and while not cheap it certainly was more moderately priced compared to other options in the area. Hotel does however need to get with the times. When free WIFI is advertised the expectation is it will be available in the room, not just the lobby! (this is the reason for the poor service rating rather than the staff)

We stayed at this hotel for two nights. The lobby looked nice, but the room and the hall to the parking garage is bad. The room had a dirty balcony without chairs, cracked formica counter in the bathroom and peeling discolored caulk around the sink. The hand held hairdryer was disgusting! We checked into the empire landmark after a long day of travel. The staff were not welcoming and seemed to be giving us looks up and down as if we weren't good enough for their hotel. I tend to agree with some of the other recent posts. This is an older property and it shows. But it is less expensive than other local hotels. On the plus side, my room was in decent shape. I had no problems with Internet or other amenities. I had a room on the 38th floor and it had a nice balcony with a spectacular view of Stanley Park and English Bay. We were booked in to the Empire Landmark as part of a tour - we would never have chosen it ourselves. From the moment we walked in, we could see that it was worn and in desperate need of new carpet and furnishing. We were greeted by a friendly clerk at the front desk, but she only gave us partial information. When we got to our room it was very hot - we turned the A/C on as low as it would go and opened the door to the patio - the temperature didn't even budge. Since we were staying there fo... Read more

The location was good, the views were excellent but nothing will make it better if you have mold in the bathroom. The room was very run down. Bathroom had water damage on the vanity, chipped paint on the ceiling, mold in all corners, very old grout in the shower. Also expensive (more than $200) and in horrible state. Will never stay there again.

Spent 2 nights here after an Alaskan Tour. Located on Robson St near Stanley Park and all the shops and Restaurants. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The Lobby was nice, but sparse. Note free WIFI only available in the Lobby. Businsess Center is $5.00 for 20 minutes. The rooms are in need of an update. Rooms were clean and the linens fine. Bathroom could use an upgrade, caulk cracking around tub, some cracked grout too. Plenty of hot water for showers. The climate control was poor. you had... Read more

I stayed here for two nights in July as I needed accommodations before I was able to move into my new apartment. The price was great, as was the view and the bed was comfortable. The check in process was nothing spectacular. I received some attitude from the front desk agent when I needed help with my luggage, but the bell man that assisted me was lovely. The only reason I would stay here again, would be because of the affordable price. This hotel is perfect for travelers who are not expecting f... Read more

Conveniently located on Robson close to many great restaurants and a short walk from Whole Foods and Safeway. Although this hotel is in need of an extreme makeover, it's great value for what you pay. The hotel has great staff and was clean but it was also a little rundown. It is in need of a good face lift and update. The other problem was the street noise. The revolving restaurant was even more rundown with chairs having cracks and peeling vinyl. The windows needed a good clean also. The location was excellent with bus right outside the door and walking distance to Stanley Park. The views from the room (31st floor) were excellent of all the waterways.

There is construction going on somewhere in the hotel which you hear all the time and at night the sound of running water keeps you up.
