The room was very clean but, the hotel was very rustic! Bathroom small, shower only no vanity. Although old they have worked to somehow modernize the hotel. Do not be put off by the rustic part as this is in a very old part of Vancouver! Clean is a Big Word in my opinion and it was only for one night!!

We were enroute to Winnipeg from Thailand and stayed a night here to visit family in the area. It was very reasonably priced for the size of room and the amount of food that one can have for breakfast. There were so many options as compared to other places we have stayed at that included a continental breakfast. The staff are very friendly. It's about a 15-20 minute walk to the sky train, which is very handy.

I have stayed at the Days Inn at the same time for the past 5 years for 4-5 days at a time. I like the area around it for walks but the hotel itself has always been a value stop i.e. not great quality but decent value all things considered. This year the price had increased substantially and as such it isn't such a great value proposition. The hotel is clean and basic but generally noisy due to courtyard design and seemingly attracting patronage from folks who like to have lively discussions or ... Read more

The staff at this Days Inn was very professional. This is a place for the budget minded guest who is looking for a place to sleep. I found it adequate and was off early next morning for my adventures in the downtown area. The breakfast was continental.

Room was very small and not the cleanest for our group (of 4 and a toddler). No microwave (and we badly needed one to heat up some milk overnight). The check in staff offered the microwave in the front desk but it would be very inconvenient for us during the night. Bathroom was very tight as well. There was no bathtub and the sink wasn't draining well. Ramps would be great instead of carrying/lifting luggages in the plight of stairs. The building could use some serious updating. Breakfast was ok ... Read more

Room was comfortable enough. Rooms lack a microwave, but fridge was there. Very small shower stall has separate hot and cold faucets and inconsistent water temperature, so you get to be a chemist while you clean Breakfast was okay (bagels, toast, hard boiled eggs, cereal and pastries) but could use a waffle maker which is becoming a standard hotel offering. Breakfast starts too late on weekdays (6:30... should be 6:00) and ends too early on weekends - 9:30 - should go to 10:00 Loved the open co... Read more

Decent accommodations, but overpriced for the very basic amenities. The breakfast buffet was clean and well stocked, but the offerings were minimal. Wi-Fi connection in the room was sometimes spotty.

The best part is their staff.. They will go all out to help you with anything. They have printed instructions as to how to take a bus or train to the downtown area. Things which need improvement are.. No ramps to take your luggage up and down. Parking lot to reception has a staircase to negotiate. Breakfast is in the basement with no attendant. Breakfast spread is bad. If things are running short they expect you to go upstairs and beg. Plastic cutlery is never helpful. Rooms have everything but ... Read more

We found this Days in rooms to be rather dated. But it was comfortable enough. The Center Court of the hotel has been made into some pretty Gardens, a nice little touch. They were renovating while we were there so during the day it is a bit noisier. On the subject of noise the farther back from the Front Street will be the quieter rooms. We would not rush back to this hotel but we would not avoid it either. They offer a continental breakfast. There have probably been some issues in the parking ... Read more

Our toilet did not flush well. Our TV remote did not work well and we could not view the things we would have liked. For the price of the room I expected more quality and space. Very over priced in comparison to other hotels we have stayed in. The locking bar fell off the door - it was replaced but definitely shows its age. Original room for us could not be opened by us or the receptionist who had to come and help us. Another room had to be booked instead. Very little in the way of gluten... Read more

Initially, I had the impression that the Days Inn Vancouver Metro was closer to downtown Vancouver; however, it's actually in a predominantly Vietnamese part of town on a very busy street, Kingsway. With the road dividers and street separators, access onto the property was a series of U-turns and side-street accesses. Once we got to our room we were pleasantly surprised that they had recently been refurbished. Although I requested a queen bed, our room had two beds, a small refrigerator, a smal... Read more

Before we visited Vancouver it was a choice between expensive city centre hotel or cheaper hotel out of town with easy transport to the city. We chose the latter and I am glad we did. This hotel was brilliant. We arrived very early and it was no problem to store our bags until later. The very helpful you man gave us advice on buses and off we went. Free Continental Breakfast was ok. Coffee is bland tasting. Lucky McDonalds is next door! I prefer hot breakfast, scrambled eggs, bacon, hash brown, etc. Free internet is slow and spotty at best. Not very reliable even toward the front of building! Frequent disconnects on iPhone 6 Plus. Room was clean and tidy. A/C unit is noisy. No amenities on site. Worth the money if under $80/night. I paid almost $170 per night on my last business trip. For that price, there should be better choic... Read more

Wasn't sure what to expect. Room we received was small with queen sized bed. Small bathroom but clean--tucked in a cubbyhole almost. The outside of the property was tired and worn down, and signage about removing valuables from the vehicles, large sign(s)--inside the courtyard was full of color with the plants and flowers , very nice. Continental breakfast was good--don't think they wanted you to take food to your room--no lids for coffee etc. Staff was very nice.....

This hotel isn't so nice. The toilet was broken, and we had to take off the lid of the back of the toilet to flush it as well as to stop it from continually running. Even then, I think the toilet was leaking because it would start running continuously. It was very noisy. It also wasn't the cleanest of bathrooms either. There were long black hairs in the bathtub. Its a Days Inn so you know what it is going to be, its a budget place to stay but the location of this one was awful. Its a 30 minute bus ride to Vancouver center, there are no restaurants nearby or much to do. Probably great if you were visiting that area for a reason but if you are going to Vancouver for a holiday pick somewhere in the center. The buses are good just a pain to rely on.

It's not in the poshest area of Vancouver (not that I like the city), but it's well situated, close enough to everything I needed. Clean, well run, good service. The breakfast was pretty much what you expect for 'continental', but the fruit was very fresh, as were the breads.

The interior courtyard is beautiful and that's what sold me on the hotel. Too bad the beauty of the place is contained in that garden. The rooms are clean but you can tell that the hotel is not in the nicest part of the city - there are no luxuries attached to this hotel. The walls are thin, you can hear your neighbours and my bed squeaked. The hotel is surrounded by little Saigon and you won't find a restaurant to eat in unless you want Asian food. Stayed 2 nights at this clean hotel on the main road but did not hear any traffic. Having to carry bags upstairs was a bit of a problem but the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast included was a good mix of items but they used all paper plates, cup and plastic cutlery which was a bit stange and not easy to eat with. First of all, when I booked this hotel, the operator said it was downtown, and this hotel is not. The Hotel itself was ok. The room was big enough for 4 adults. The problem was we heard the traffic on one side and then the people coming into the hotel on the other side. So that was really a drag. The other issue is that its not is such a good neighborhood. Room was clean and well kept.

I stayed there many time over the last 10 years, and still do. The place is clean, the staff friendly and helpful, the room bright with enough room. I am appalled with some unfair comments lately, yes the internet was down for a while but it was not the hotel fault rather that of the provider, so why drop the blame on them? I was in need of internet one morning and went to MacDonald next door, no internet either same reason. The breakfast in the morning is fine.
