Terrible experience here. Dont even have it on their website, even though they lied to my face and said they did...that a security deposit of $100 is needed. Further to that they lied to my face about other things and were very rude. I was staying over night from 8pm-6am to write an exam near by. I bought the room on Hotwire because I am low on funds and the rating from hotwire seemed fine. WAS IT EVER WRONG. Not to mention the flooring and walls are cracking. The curtains dont close so you only... Read more

I last visited the woodbine Hotel on Feb 12 weekend. after being there before at this location before when it was new I find it to be ok. Now it wasn't the same. Not very organize. after booking for a reservation about a week in advance the room wasn't ready in time, went to the room it smell like dirty laundry inside, the beds was horrible the worse I've ever seeing any bed in a hotel. I could go on and on. after refusing to say there a second night I booked out the hotel to realize ... Read more

Check in was fine. Was told deposit was $100 but ended up being $150. We got into the room and the room was nice but about 32 degrees. Basically was sweating as soon as entering. The tv did not work at all so we called the lady at front desk to look at it...she tried to say the remote was broken but none of the outlets worked to turn the tv on. She proceeded to ask "do you want the tv though"? I told her yes I am paying for a room I want television. Seemed to be a hassle for her to change our r... Read more

Unfortunately my stay at this hotel was less than satisfying- and I wish I would have read the reviews prior to booking. I was compelled to rate as terrible if it wasn't for the friendly breakfast lady that had a very nice singing voice that I enjoyed listening to (and reasonable breakfast), and improved room cleaning after the first night. At arrival into my room, and the stoic checkin, the first thing I noticed was hair and an unclean bathroom countertop- followed by a musty smell. What made ... Read more

I decided to book it because of the low cost. I was very pleasantly surprised to see the room in very good condition and the hotel environment very comfortable. The staff were very courteous (in the few interactions we had with them) and the rooms were quiet. The drive into the city was quick and painless, and the public transit is effective. This hotel was spectacular at low price and well worth the stay!

The most disgusting hotel room I have ever stayed in to date. Yellow stains on the bed sheets. Got switched to another room which had even MORE stains on sheets. Horrific customer service that ignored us and gave us attitude once we mentioned the stains. Just a completely awful hotel. Please do yourself a favor and avoid this nightmare of a place.

Stayed 1 night to attend a workshop seminar in downtown TO. The positives... Served our purpose well. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and the waitress keeping everything topped up and clean is a credit to the hotel. The negatives... Hotel is in dire need of refurbishment, looks tired and well used. Our rooms were at the back of the hotel which had the distinct disadvantage of being over the kitchens for the attached convention centre which had a wedding that n... Read more

Last May I attended our High School Reunion. What a nice Hotel and Convention Facility. Met up with old friends that I have not seen for 40 years. The room was large and the food was amazing. The actual Hotel rooms were very clean and a pleasure to stay. The Hotel Staff was very pleasant and helpful.

we had booked a room with 1 king bed, but had an extra guest staying with us for the night. when we arrived we asked for a cot or to switch to a room with 2 queens (which was the same price as a room with 1 king when we booked online) but they wanted to charge us for it. I ended up getting charged more then what my booking receipt said, and when i called to ask about it they were not helpful at all and hung up on me.

We booked through Hotwire and ended up with a pretty good deal ($73 inc tax). However, the hotel is tired and only close to the race track. I was not impressed by the location as it was about an hour from downtown. The breakfast was good. Eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, juice, cereal. Room was very small, but nicely renovated. Hallways were ancient and were either very warm or very cold. There's no pool or work out room.

We stayed one night and wake up with two bed bugs and blood on the sheet. If that wasn't enough, we had to wait 2 hours for the manager to finally get a 20% off........!!! Worst place I've ever been to, please don't go.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room we got was upgraded from original booking and was spacious and comfortable for 2 people, even though we had to share the king bed. Couch did not pull out as was promised. Some lights were non functional. Jacuzzi leaked onto the floor in the night after we briefly turned on water. Steam box and shower needed instructions (appeared to be non functional). Little things need attention, like chips in the countertop. Overall a beautiful and reasonably pric... Read more

Room was small and seriously run down and dusty - needs maintenance. Breakfast was a joke - very little food, finished early with no replenishment, dirty tables, staff didn't care much or just had nothing to add. Worst part - the hotel is part of a banquet hall complex, and there was a wedding party that made it absolutely impossible to sleep at least until 2 am - the bed was literally trembling because of extremely loud music downstairs! Will never stay here again - avoid at all cost!!!

We stayed here one night in September. The room was clean and fairly spacious. Everything was clean. There was plenty of hot water and good shower pressure. The pillows were uncomfortable - woke up with a terrible pain in the neck. The TV has limited channels and the ones that are there are kind of grainy quality. The check in was quick and painless and the service was good. Breakfast is complimentary, and selections are eggs, bacon, sausage, Wonder bread, cereals. Nothing special, but it quenc... Read more

Very friendly and helpful staff, Hotel was clean and well maintained, however you can see it is aging a bit. No public transport or food options around this place apart from Tim Horton cafe 5 min walk away. Hi speed wifi was the best thing there apart from the good quality beds.

Hotel was in a fabulous location. We enjoyed the proximity to the Woodbine Racetrack and Casino and decided to include it as a night out while there. The facilities are beautiful, there was a wedding taking place while we were there- it is a beautiful spot with stunning architecture. The room was relatively clean my only complaint was the mold on the shower curtain. It was coated, and the first thing you could smell when you opened the door to the room was mold/mildew. It was terrible experience to stay at this hotel on Sep 02, 2016. Hotel owner held a party until midnight up to 1:00am. It was very noisy and almost half guests couldn't sleep. I called front desk for help. But service guy told me because his boss held the party, he could do nothing. The only way is submitting complain. It is hard to believe the owner doing business as this. This hotel should delisted from your website and if this owner continues running this hotel. It should be closed.

The woodbine has nice big rooms with a relatively modern feel if you are looking for somewhere under $100 a night. Stayed there for a month with no issues at all. Friendly staff. No good restaurant on site or close nearby though

The Woodbine is a well appointed multi use facility with banquet and conference facilities. The rooms are adequate in size, clean, nice décor and several amenities. Sleep comfort is excellent. Breakfast is a buffet with standard cold items and hot offerings of pancakes, eggs and bacon. The staff was friendly & efficient. The hotel is convenient to the airport but quite far from downtown Toronto. Bathroom was a little small but well appointed. A great deal at a good price.

Was here for a retirement party with my wife for people that we both worked within the Ontario Criminal Justice System. It is near the Woodbine Centre and Woodbine Racetrack. Venue was huge as there was over one .hundred people coming & going to this to this reception. It was a free bar with admission to this well .organized event. People were checked in at the .party's .reception area . and security personnel by the front door. DJ music was played in the background, with lighting for atmosphere... Read more

On the plus side, very spacious rooms at good prices. This appears to have been a really nice hotel, but is showing signs of wear. In addition, he wifi is slow and choppy, the street noise is more than you would expect, and the room layout is a little odd, with a sofa and loveseat at one end where you can't watch the single television. Staff is nice, location is convenient. It the noise and decor don't bother you, this is a bargain.

Was on Business in the area so I thought I would try this hotel My room was not so big however I was on my own so that was fine The room was very clean and comfortable I see another poster complained about the wifi and traffic noise. My room was towards the back of the hotel so noise was not an issue and The wifi was great, I could stream TV
