So, I booked this place for one of my bosses as he does business in this area. And he said, it was absolutely scary staying there, and he had a lot of issues! Sliding door did not lock, showers were cold, he heard blood-curdling screams (his words) in the hallway, he thought he was next! And the food was not good at all. Please please please do something with your rooms! He told me this is on the "do not book list" ever.

Really great indoor pool. Also has outdoor pool in season. Hotel is clean with good beds. Restaurant is nice with standard hotel menu food. This is a great location if you have business or appointments in north east Toronto. Some excellent and exclusive shopping is close by.

Stayed here for 2 nights to do my exams. The receptionist was very friendly, guided us well to get to the nearest TCC. For the price we paid, it was value for money. The room was clean and comfy. The only minor bad experience I had was that when I was opening my room door, the housekeeper shouted from the other end to ask if I need my room to be cleaned.

I always enjoy when I‚??m at the hotel while Shirley is there. Always friendly and willing to help me if ever I need something. She is so hard working. The maintenance crew are great as well. I‚??m a spa member for many years, and anytime the temperature of the room is too hot or too cold. They‚??re right on top of it. Again thank you Shirley.

Downtown Toronto is crowded and busy. This place is maybe 4 miles from downtown and stands on a large hilly piece of land with greenery and trees all around. The rooms are of a good size with each room having private bathroom. There is a heated indoor swimming pool. This is quite a good place to stay, relax, and the price is below $100 so it is reasonable. Recommended for couples and families. You'll like it here and feel like you're in "a resort"..which you are! The only negative is that ... Read more

Over the past 2.5 months I have stayed at this hotel 3 times. Over this period of time, they have had signs indicating they are "installing new elevators". With each stay, the operating quality of the existing elevators has declined. The last straw was my most recent stay this week. One elevator is operating and that elevator is run by an attendant, who goes up and down all day, stopping at each floor. The result is that almost nobody waits for the elevator - they climb up and down the stai... Read more

Copy of my letter to the hotel which has still not received a replied nor have they returned my repeated calls. Wow, your customer service is nonexistent! I have been trying to reach your front desk Manager this past week on several occasions and have left messages repeatedly. For a place to stay it was fine. The elevators were not working and parking is tight, although plenty of it. The room was clean, but the bath tub had a soft squish feel under the feet. We had two beds which wound up being twin beds, instead of full beds. My husband and I wound up sleeping in separate beds.

Easily accessible by car, with a nice exercise room and heated pools. Friendly bar staff and modern dining area. Disappointed by the breakfast buffet. Average rooms. Overall nice common areas well configured for business travelers or convention attendees. Pay-for parking with in/out, and no trouble finding parking spaces.

At 150$ a night, this hotel was not worth it. The hotel was not clean, our shower was filled with hair on the walls and the toilet was not cleaned either. Personnel at front desk were rude too. My family and I were up all night because the room next door was screaming and banging the common door all night, when we told customer service, at first they were not very accommodating. I payed 100/ night roughly and compared to the rest of Toronto that is cheap. In town your looking at 200-300 if you don't get in early and book in advance. This was last minute and I was happy with the price. My complaints are, while the room is clean and spacious (kings suite) the tv was broken with a line down the centre which was annoying, but the worst thing about the tv is that it automatically comes onto their "buy a movie" page. I couldn't exit it, so I figured that's all they had on tv ... Read more

The positives: Affordable, rooms were clean, breakfast staff team was nice and the lobby/pool area was nicely renovated. The need to work on: The font desk team needs additional training, rooms were renovated but the expensive parts - the bathrooms/ heating and cooling systems - were merely face lifted. Overall, not a bad stay but will not be memorable. It is average in just about every way. If you get a good deal, go for it.

We came to Toronto for a quick visit to attend a festival. My daughter booked this hotel at the last minute, and we were only gonna be here for one full day, so I wasn't expecting anything special. This hotel turned out to be a little above average. It was clean, comfortable, and the pool area was nice. There was also a nice restaurant inside. The food was a bit overpriced for the quality, but it was okay. We were put in a ground level room that was clean and comfortable. The staff was plea... Read more

The hotel itself was very nice. The lobby was modern, there was a pool (which we didn't use since we arrived at night and only stayed one evening). However I will say that although the pictures of the lobby were accurate to photos I found online (and on the website where I booked) the room we ended up getting looked NOTHING like any of the ads. I realize this is normal, however the difference in quality was pretty astounding. Instead of a nice modern hotel room, we got a very outdated room (pais... Read more

I have been staying at the Don for a number of years now when I'm in TO for business. I have rented at least 7 nights of rooms so far this year. My last trip was the final straw for me. It was a collection of a lot of things that made it bad. I stayed in room 305. There was 0 wifi, well half a bar. 2 days without wifi sucked. The room looked into someone's condo, I mean I could step on their balcony, so I had to keep the blinds closed for two days as well. I came to the hotel at 3 in the after... Read more

As a network engineer I had to write this review. The WiFi here is diabolical, everything about it is terrible. It is the worst WiFi I have ever used in a hotel. It is configured really poorly. 1. There are simply not enough wireless access points covering the bedrooms. You have a corridor of around 30 rooms with 3 access points in the corridors. That is inadequate. 2. The WiFi is an unsecured wifi, but has a login page. You have to type a password in to use the connection. Most WiFi netw... Read more

On the plus side the outdoor pool was nice and not too busy. You can get cafe service from the bistro at poolside. The WiFi is good. The bed was comfortable and the room mostly quiet. Luggage ramps are a problem as you would need to exit the lobby and enter again to avoid the stairs up to the elevators. The elevators were under renovation.
