I do not believe that one can find a better value for the suite I've had now at the King Edward for five nights. The suite is in fact more similar to a one-bedroom apartment with an ample bedroom, living room space and a modern bathroom. Service is at all levels from concierge to room service of the highest, most helpful level. The hotel is well located allowing one to walk to most of the sites and neighborhoods of central Toronto. A subway is only a few block away allowing for easy access to le... Read more

I did not stay at this hotel, I was invited here for a high tea bridal party. The minute I stepped into this luxury hotel off the streets of Toronto, I felt like I was transported into a different dimension, I now was in a beautiful palace. The crystal chandeliers, stunningly intricate crown molding, the granite, the art work... everything I laid my eyes on was of superior quality. It was Royal. The newly refurbished Omni King Edward hotel in Toronto is everything a 4 star hotel should be. The staff, from the doormen to the front desk to housekeeping is friendly and welcoming. The room I stayed in was luxurious without being stuffy and clean. The downtown location is close to theaters, markets, public transportation, etc.

My stay at the Omni King Edward Hotel was absolutely amazing. I was greeted by a wonderful doorman that helped me with my luggage and made me feel at home. The same doorman made sure my stay was pleasant throughout my trip. I was introduced to the Bartender and was given a very educational history of the hotel. As a former music student it was awesome to learn that big band legends such as Duke Ellington and Glen Miller performed in their Grand Ballroom many years ago. The food is outstandi... Read more

Beautiful renovation of a historic property. Have stayed here several times when visiting Toronto on business. Staff is always very friendly and helpful. I am an in Omni's preferred guest program so they always have my room ready and waiting and will upgrade me without even being asked. When we arrived at the hotel, the front desk staff had given us a room which we had to refuse. It smelt like somebody had smoked before. They appologized and gave us another room with king bed at the 14th floor. This second room was nice which we appreciated very much. The hotel features a very beautiful lobby area, good location and a nice restaurant. For breakfast I have tried the home made buttermilk pancackes. They tasted really excellent. The staff were wonderful, particularly the manager Emily. We booked through Priceline, and not surprisingly, our reservation was wrong. We were put in a room with a king bed and a small cot. We are a family of 4 with two teenagers -- that's not going to work. Great location in the city and beautifully decorated common areas and comfortable rooms. The view from our room on the ninth floor was also amazing. There is a parking lot in the back of the hotel that is way cheaper than the one provided by the hotel. Also, when we arrived our booking (via booking.com) had some issues and could not be found so we lost quite some time with the check-in. Other than that, perfect.

We had a lovely stay for three nights in Toronto. The hotel was beautiful, well appointed, and had friendly staff. The hotel Concierge was extremely helpful and guided us to many tourist spots that coordinated with the weather. The only negative was the cost for parking - thought it was a bit high. Overall, would highly recommend this hotel! We had a great stay.

Great staff! Friendly service! The young ladies in the club lounge made us feel at home. They did a great job of making recommendations for local attractions and restaurants, they even had a cupcake delivered to my room when they discovered it was my birthday...lol. Very impressed!

The hotel has been refurbished since my last visit but the lobby still impresses with a more modern twist on old school luxury. The room wowed too with its high ceiling, a terrific bed, top notch linens and a really nice modern bathroom. If you're looking for tradition but full of modern amenities and a super downtown location you can't go wrong here. I didn't eat at the restaurant but meeting and catering services were amongst the best I've ever experienced.

The King Edward is a really striking hotel, with a nice combination of old and new world touches. Obviously, since it's a very old building, things like the ventilation in the bathrooms are not cutting edge, but the bathrooms are kept very clean. The staff are all very polite and efficient. We stayed in a beautiful King suite on the 6th floor and it was quiet and comfortable. The bed is really comfy and I slept like a log. I didn't get a chance to try the restaurants since I was attending a conf... Read more

The location is fabulous - surrounded by cafe's and restaurants in the heart of downtown. The hotel is stunning - the perfect balance of gorgeous detail with modern cleanliness and amenities. And the staff are exceptionally accommodating - for the first time our 7 rooms were located together. Such a wonderful experience!!!

My grandma, mom, 3 year old and I spent 1 night here. We had a suite plus an additional connecting room. Both rooms were very clean and well appointed. They were very spacious as well! Convenient location! Staff was great and even gave a gift bag to my daughter on checkin and a cupcake to my grandma for her birthday! Wish we could stay another night here!

The Omni King Edward is a beautiful property. Rooms and amenities are spectacular. Book this hotel with confidence. If you are looking for a premium property, this is it. Great beds, awesome showers. Very conveniently located, an easy 10 minute walk to Union Station. Many great attractions nearby. Every bit as nice as the Fairmont but bigger rooms and much more recently renovated.

The Omni King Edward is such a beautiful hotel. The design and furnishings take you back to a time when service and class was really important. Service is spectacular with a very friendly staff, attentive to all needs. The proximity to everything in downtown Toronto makes for short walks to any attraction; taxis are waiting at the front door if needed. The beds are soooo comfortable.

We were pleasantly surprised at how beautiful and up to date the decor of this beautiful old hotel was. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. We walked to all our planned destinations easily and also rode the subway to Casa Loma on the staff's recommendation. A great weekend in Toronto at a beautiful hotel.

I received a call about five minutes after checking in to my room. It was the front desk asking if everything was to my liking. Honestly, the room was a bit smaller than I had hoped and asked if it would be possible to upgrade. And it was. Within five minutes an employee was at my door with the new room cards and helped me transfer my things. The valet parking was expensive (it is Toronto), but worth it. I was given directions and traffic tips every morning. The food and room service was also ef... Read more

Room was really nice, much better than in the photos. We had beautiful views across the city. A tiny, tiny room. After that beautiful, grand lobby. After that fantastic check-in. Several elevators, no wait and a maze-like journey from the lobby to my room. I open the door - and see a wall, like, nine feet away. Literally a closet with a bed and a TV. Bathroom had no shelves or counter space. Had to leave toiletry bag on desk. Nicely furnished and updated, but no room should be this small. And that guy with tambourines right outside my door.... Really? At 2:00 AM, nobody should be clank... Read more

The hotel is in a great location with easy access to transport links, key sights, theatres, restaurants and shopping. The staff couldn't do enough to make our stay comfortable and were helpful in every way. We had access to the Club lounge where we enjoyed breakfast and snacks in quiet comfort. Very nice hotel, good concierge service. However, breakfast was included in our tariff and yet appeared on our final bill for one of the days we stayed. It was immediately removed but we still ended up paying a random 14 pence on our credit card bill for something. Beautiful building, good size rooms, well equipped.

The location is great, in the heart of the city and a 1min walk to the subway. The hotel lobby is beautiful, the doormen were nice, the front desk lady was nice, but came off cold and uncaring. The room, a premier room, was ok, but not what I had expected, the layout was odd and view was not worth the price, I even booked the room directly on the hotel site. What an incredible experience. It has been a long time since I have had this level of customer service. All employees were caring, courteous and striving to provide a great stay for us. They made an extra effort to ensure that on my last night when my 4 year old came to stay with me that it was extra special - delivery of milk and cookies, especially for the "little princess" was over the top!!!
