The room I stayed in was very neat and clean, and the bed was so comfortable! The neighborhood the hotel is located at is extremely safe, calm, and also convenient-there are a lot of places around to walk to for lunch/dinner. They serve room service breakfast if ordered which was fairly decent. My husband and I have never been to Toronto and so having the hotel be a fifteen minute walk away from the subway station saved us a lot of transportation time through out the day and gave us more opportu... They call themselves a 'luxury suite' they must not know what luxury means. It is a rundown old apartment converted to a hotel (more like a motel or less) with only superficial repairs and renos done to it. Old carpet, squeeky floor, old fixtures, loud bathroom fan, no sound proofing. Most of all, no elevator. The bed was aweful aweful. We booked for 4 nights but left on day 2. Located in odd residential neighborhood with not much service or things to do. Oh, customer service also lacked too. ... Read more

It was fine, except for the person slamming the door multiple times at 3am. The parking lot is very small and narrow, I had to back out blind. The WiFi is strong, at least it was in my room. The rooms are much smaller than the pictures make them out to be. I did have dishes and cutlery and a small fridge, but no way to heat anything. It was close to the 401 and the Sheppard Subway line, but the subway is a good 15 minute walk away.

I stayed in the Mary-am Hotel for almost a week attending business meetings. The hotel is located in North York, Boutique style quit place. There's a small minibar in the room which was very helpful. The staff with very attentive and friendly. The room was comfortable, the queen bed, lounge chair and desk. While it is not located in the center of Toronto, it's an easy subway ride to anywhere you want to get to. Good value for money

Looked nice on their website but very disappointing when you get into your room. Needs a new paint job, as my room had marks/scuffs on the walls and sanded drywall mud in many locations. Some electrical outlets also need repair behind the tiny desk they offer.for a work station. The front desk experience was unexceptional for a boutique hotel. I had to sign off on a $250 damage deposit on my credit card before I obtained my key. As a business traveler, I have NEVER had to sign such a document in ... Read more

Although the description sounds grand, the facilities are not so good. However, we visited the property before booking. Car parking is a nightmare, wifi is not 100% guaranteed, and walls are paper thin. Regardless, we chose the property for its simplicity and location. Recommended for short term stays, especially if you need to be close to Sheppard-Yonge.

Friendly front desk. Comfortable suite, but little things were off -- threadbare towels, tons of dirt in the corners, etc. Price very reasonable, however, for a suite with quality bed, kitchenette, separate sitting area and large bathroom. The neighborhood has no amenties -- no coffee shops, etc. Need to walk 4-5 blocks or drive. Hotel is adjacent to a nice park where we enjoyed some walks. Overall an acceptable place to stay in North York but don't expect a "downtown" experience.

We stayed here for 2 nights. Check-in process was fast and the front desk lady speaks my mother tongue- Mandarin so we felt very comfortable. Room is clean and location is good. We will stay here again.

This place is not fancy but very clean and cozy. I realized that this hotel was just 3 star I didn't expect a lot...especially for the price I paid. But if you are the kind of person who prefers luxury downtown hotels then this place isn't for you. However if all you need is a spacious suite, comfortable bad and cleanliness then you will like the hotel. The breakfast they offer is dissent ... I also went couple of times to the breakfast place down the street and I personally liked it ... Read more

I was able to visit and stay not only at Mary-am hotel, but also their additional premises - Basements at Maplehurst. The Hotel itself is quite ok, but twice lady that was cleaning my room left it openned - luckily nothing went missing (I hope), but the rest was pretty ok,but.... we were supposed to have kitchennet - but the only thing we've got was - microwave... nothing more... this is not a kitchenet - just a microwave You can book Hotel room - but you want to stay away from Basements. If you're looking for a simple crash pad for 2 couples, this is a good choice. 2 beds, fridge (after u empty out the $3 pops and waters), microwave. But if 2 couples are coming for comfort, this is not. Pictures do show as it is, but room layout is this: you come into an area that is basically a kitchen. Small desk with lamp on one end. Against king wall are 2 chairs with little end table between, and across from that is kitchen counter which has tv on it. 3 chairs in total for the entire sui... Read more

Older hotel, check in was fine, advertises a pull-out couch. We pulled out the bed from the couch and the mattress was just Springs no cushion at all...Noone could sleep on that. Had to share a bed as the pull out was so awful. Walls are very thin, could hear a neighbors full telephone conversation. Sink in bathroom took hours to drain. Door didn't close very well.
