The uniqueness of this property was perfect for group (13 rooms). Great beds, linens and service make this property (a historical mansion with tower addition) different from the local competition. As a group organizer, staff worked with me every step of the way in ensuring accuracy on budget and convenience for guests. Perfect every step of the way, thank you, Mala, John and Holly!

Perfect hotel for travelling on a budget. Don't expect much. Our room was clean, towels were switched every day and location is good for a few days Toronto. Don't expect a 5star hotel but for the price overall a good hotel.

When we first arrived at 530pm our plan was to just drop the car off and head to our dinner and basketball game. The girl at the front desk didn't know where the parking was and at 550pm when she still couldn't figure it out I decided to just drive my car to the restaurant as we had dinner reservations for 6pm and it was over a 15 minute drive by cab. With traffic we ended up being 20 minutes late for our reservations and in turn made us miss the first quarter of the basketball game. When we ret... Read more

Room was small and bit stuffy but that's just knit picking. Other than that No complaints good location walking distance to shops. Great breakfast place called eggsmart across the road. Bar under hotel if your feeling like a couple of bevs. Would stay again if I came back to Toronto.

The rooms are very small, the breakfast is poor (bread with peanut butter and fruit loops with milk) the staff is rude and the facilities are damaged. The AC unit in our room wasn't working, so that night, I called the front desk to tell them the room temperature was 28 c and the windows couldn't open. The guy who answered the phone just said "I will see if I can do something." Obviously, they never did anything and we spent the night like rotisserie chicken. The next morning I talked again w... This is a hotel I don't want to visit again. Staff was very nice but the rest is not. From the lobby on you feel that the place needs deep cleaning and total revamp. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was included. There are no restaurants nearby and we didn't see a metro stop anywhere.

We stayed for one night here and it was a nightmare. We were at the lobby at 2:45 and waited to get the room keys at 3 pm. When we went to the room with all our luggage, the door wouldn't just open. After doing up and down to the reception a few times, they gave us another room on the 5th floor. We lugged our bags to this room and it wouldnt open either. We have stayed in a lot of hotels over the years and nothing was this bad. They couldn't fix the problem and we had wasted an hour going up and... Read more

I have to say how happy I was with my choice to stay at this hotel. I was trying to travel on a budget but thought I'd push the boat out a bit fpr my last few nights. And this hotel suited my every need. Very clean, tide and well presented rooms with un-suit. And a/c. Man did we need it during my stay. (Weather was cracking) Staff were all great and very helpful. And the location was good too. A two min walk to a subway and and about 15-20mins right into the down town area. And not too bad of a ... Read more

First I have to mention John, he is a doll and was our hero for the night! After immediately checking out of our original accommodations for being extremely unclean and gross, we were desperate to find a new place to stay, which was very difficult at 9pm. We found Isabella online, and immediately booked it based on a stay in the past. As we tried to help another couple(also fleeing the previous hotel) we first spoke to John, he could not find the res we had just booked but eventually saw we had ... Read more

We stayed at this hotel last december and we Really liked about the structute and room! The only thing that the housekeeping staff forgot to take out our garbage and the amenities weren't replaced at time. The breakfast had Good tastes but the Space was not too big ! We recommend it! Rafael & Noele

We stayed at this hotel for a weekend early June to participate as exhibitors on the Trade show at the Westin Conference Centre. Great location close to downtown areas and nice little restaurants nearby to dine out for Mexican , Indian food or Swiss Chalet. The hotel has a patio for some drinks and a bar at the ground floor for coffee and beers. Free wi-fi Parking $15 /day...We paid $30 for 2 days. We were very dissappointed with the hotel, not friendly staff, we arrived around 10am from... Read more

The hotel was cute but not very efficient. One tiny elevator not available during cleaning hours. The staff was for the most part, friendly. Despite not being able to check in early due to too many requests and not being able to check out an hour later, they were willing to hold onto our bags for us so we could go out and venture. The room was small but do-able for a few nights. The room was really hot and the ac in the window didn't do much for cooling it down and the bathroom was freezing. Bas... Read more

We are currently staying here and as the saying goes "you get what you pay for". Toronto is expensive so we were looking at a cheaper option (still expensive compared to other places in Canada) so chose this hotel. It's located quite a distance from downtown and in a not so friendly area. It may be safe but from what we saw walking from the hotel towards Lake Ontario it was ferralville! As for the hotel, housekeeping is pretty much nonexistent. Previous guest's hair all on the floor in the bat... Read more

Great location, 3 blocks from the Sherbourne station and on a bus route to go downtown. Decent size fridge in the room so we found the Supermarket across the road was handy for fruit and drinks etc. Restaurant provides a good selection of affordable meals. Nice to eat breakfast at the out door seating area. Staff were friendly and helpful with maps etc. House keeping was a bit hit and miss. Left clean towels the first day but didn't empty bins or make the bed. Only had one cup for coffee, no... Read more

Fascinating building with some similarities to buildings in Paris. Of course nothing will ever match the opulence of Versailles. A great collection of artifacts. We did not use the personal Guide system ; the in-room information sheets were quite good.

My wife and I stayed here 3 nights to see the sights of center city; Art Gallery, Eaton Center, Allan Gardens, Royal Ontario Museum, and HarborFront. Our upper floor queen had a comfortable bed, desk with 1 chair, small wardrobe, refrigerator, tea/coffee, and outfitted bathroom with nice simple hot shower. Everything you need in a small well organized space. Breakfast was simple but complete with bananas, cereal, toast with peanut butter and jelly, mini muffins, coffee and OJ. Our location was... The hotel was OK, good location and cleaning. Room also good. The breakfast was too much simple and repetitive, could be better. But something very bad for us happened: we forgot two books and some papers in a drawer when we left. In the same day we called and sent email telling that and asking them to keep our stuff, because we were going to be in the city two weeks later. So, they just didn't took care of it, they left our books in a common place. As a result one of them was taken. ... Read more

Not a bad hotel but the lift was very ropey and broke down but probably repaired overnight. Very clunky. Room was good with queen bed, usual furnishings, fridge etc. the shower leaked all over the bathroom floor, which necessitated a change of mat daily. Bed, comfy, but very close to the wall on one side and I kept hitting my foot on a piece of metal which protruded from beneath the bed when I had to get out. Decor a little bit tired but clean. Breakfast was very simple, cereals and toast, muffi... Read more
