This hotel is ideally located in the heart of Toronto. Great access to shopping, nightlife and restaurants. However the hotel does enforce a quiet policy after 10 p.m. which it adheres to. So try not to have a conversation or laugh too loud after 10 p.m.or risk having hotel security knock on your door.

We stayed here for the May long weekend celebrating a night out for a bride-to-be. In advance of the room booking we asked if they could do something special in the room. Once we arrived there were balloons, chocolate covered strawberries and champagne on ice with a nice message. They really nailed it! She felt very special Thanks Hyatt Staff :) The room was beautiful, we stayed in a business suite which seats 6-8 people and had a king bedroom (separate). This was a great feature. Although wifi... We spent 2 nights in room 1223 that has 2 queen beds and a nice view. It was a good size for the 4 of us (with 2 teenagers). We didn't feel cramped and it was quiet! Trust me I am a light sleeper so for me to say that; it is really quiet. And Jay Hong or Hung at the front desk was very helpful and gave us a lot of information about the area! Rob was nice as well! Central location that allowed us to walk everywhere. Walked 8 miles on our second day!

This Hyatt is in very old condition. The rooms are small, dingy, and not very enjoyable. The lobby area is clean and fresh. But it's the hallways and hotel rooms that are dark and old. The temperature control is difficult to be precise.

Stayed here for a conference. When I checked in I asked for a king bed and a nice view, and he gave me both! My view of the CN tower was amazing, and I slept with the curtains open just so I could wake up and see it! I did go to the bar a couple of times, and always got friendly service (expected for Canada). Didn't try the restaurants. The gym was ok. Enough machines to get a work out. The pool was small, but seemed ok. I saw a few families out there. There's also a rooftop bar, but when I visi... Read more

The hotel was perfectly located for our needs. We were visiting friends who live near Rogers Centre, which was under a 10 minute walk. Walking distance to lots of good restaurants, as well as the waterfront. The standard king room was a good size for two people. Clean, modern décor. Small but decent gym. Didn't get to try the rooftop pool, but looked nice.

We selected this hotel based on the location and the fact that there is a pool. After touring the city each day it was wonderful to relax and take a swim. Our 20th floor room was very modern, well appointed and extremely clean. Although we faced the construction site next door, it was quiet at night. The standouts here are the front desk and concierge personnel. They are experts on the area and extremely friendly. As others have mentioned, the bathrooms are tiny and the lighting is awful. I stayed at the Hyatt Regency for one night and checked in on the later side. The hotel staff was very friendly and the room was updated and modern. I loved the hotel's location as there are so many things to do that are within walking distance. Great restaurant selection and shopping close by. I will definitely be staying here again next time I head downtown Toronto.

I think every review has already said this, but the location here is perfect! We took an uber once, everything else was in walking distance. Our room was a king with a view and it was very tidy and neat. Our bathroom was also a nice size with a great massage shower. The hotel has two restaurants and a Starbucks, with a gelato place next door. The staff were all very courteous and friendly. I would stay here again if I come back!

This is a very nice property. The rooms are top notch, and spotless clean. Service is very friendly and they go over and beyond when it comes to hospitality. As an example, my room key stopped working, so I went to get another one. I got all the way up to the room and the replacement key did not work. So the front desk guy makes me a new key, then walks with me all the way up to the guest room to make sure that it worked. I wish I could come up with something different to tell you all regarding my most recent stay at the Hyatt. I am there about once a month. My family and I stayed at the Hyatt Regency Toronto during our trip through Canada recently. The staff was very friendly and our room was clean. Also, the location was great. However, the hotel lobby was always packed people attending a convention going on. Overall the hotel was good but a little crowded.

The conceirge needs to be more responsible for their actions as they did not know who cancelled our arrival transfer from Airport to Hotel. This is the first service for us to a foreign country and we had to go through the airport formalities all by ourselves. We had to take a taxi and pay for it locally. The hotel should have extended the apology for the error.

The front desk clerk was great! She was new to the job but did everything in her power to make my stay a good one. She was able to find me a mini fridge and had it delivered to my room within a few hours. Mini fridges should be standard in all rooms, by the way. A/C was loud to start up but worked well. Housekeeping was efficient and repaired the plugged sink in record time.

Toronto was really bustling with an air show, some type of comic convention and plenty of other exciting things going on. First time staying in the grand hotel Torontonians nicknamed "the wedding cake" when it was first built. Staff was exceptional. Room was clean but utterly uninspiring. It is within easy walking distance to the lakeshore, Rogers Centre (baseball), Air Canada Centre (hockey), the Hockey Hall of Fame, Roy Thompson Hall, the Ripley Aquarium & much more.
