I spent 5 days at the hotel. The breakfast is simple but good. The price is fear. Location is good.I recommend the hotel to others. All shops and restaurant are in walking distance. Easy to use metro few blocks from the hotel. I rent car for one day and it was very simple to park at the hotel.

Lows include: Small outdated (by far) rooms. Check out the traveler photos, they're accurate. Noisy Poor heating / a/c Poor elevator service Welcome was less than I'm used to as a spire elite member (the receptionist was doubtful that I was spire "elite") No fridge Pros: Location They are renovating (I suppose this was a con during the stay, but it's over due) Average holiday inn express breakfast Would I stay there again??? Under current conditions, no, I'd look for alternatives. Once renovat... Read more

We came for 2 nights to see a concert. The hotel is being renovated, it definitely needs it. Our room didn't even have a fridge. Lots of noise, elevators aren't working. Beds are still comfy and it's close to downtown and Breakfast is edible. In my opinion they should just shut down while renovating, it's a headache!

This was the only hotel that had 5 rooms available on the night needed. The hotel had decent parking available which is hard to always provide downtown. Rooms and hallways were a little dated but overall very clean. Breakfast was excellent. We had a room on the 8th floor so noise from the street was minimal. It is pricey for the amenities offered but it is so close to downtown. Check in was a little long even though there were only two of us there checking in

This place is over priced for the condition of the hotel. I paid $180 for a queen room on the 16th floor. The hallway carpet could be pulled up easily, I tripped on it ???. The carpet was stained. The elevators were slow and dingy. The bathrooms were out dated. Breakfast was nothing special. The night before I paid $130 for a room at the Marriott across from Niagara Falls including an amazing fresh breakfast buffet. They would even make a custom omelette for you. Highly disappointed in the Holi... Read more

In the heart of downtown Toronto, close to Chinatown and other areas of interest, this hotel offers great location, but little else. The hotel is currently undergoing a much needed renovation and I hope it includes updating the faded and worn carpets, peeling wall paper, and dated bathrooms. No renovation will fix the lack of parking. Max height in the few, expensive, parking spots is 6"1'. My SUV would not fit and I had to drag my luggage six blocks from where I eventually found a spot to p... Read more

We stayed here for four nights. Everything was alright. They were in the midst of referbishing the upper floors and our floor had not been done yet. Our room was a bit tired and so was the lobby. When everything is spruced up it will be very nice. Very convenient to Eatons centre. Would stay again. The continental breakfast was excellent!

Great location for us, but very disappointed in hotel first the price we paid. Too late to look for another hotel. We would have been charged anyway so we stayed. The hallway rugs were discussing to look at each time we had to walk them. We had one chair to sit on.....desk chair. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone right now.

I stayed here recently as I was in town for a sporting event. Here are some pros-and-cons from my stay... Pros: - Location - You can't get much better than this. The hotel is located on the outskirts of downtown, so it's not an overly busy area, but it's a few blocks from downtown, making it easily accessible. You're also less than a 2-min drive from the QEW with extremely easy-on and easy-off. I was actually very surprised with how easy it was. - Parking - IF you have a small car, it's a br... Read more
