We were overall impressed with this hotel. The room was clean, the staff was friendly, parking was underground and easy to access. The location was great. Lots of restaurants, in Korea town. The only complaint is our room on the 14th floor was very warm. When we mentioned it in the morning, we received an apology and they explained it was because the air conditioning had not yet been turned on for the year. Not a deal breaker! Overall, I would stay here again.

The location was perfect. The room decor was okay. I didn't enjoyed the food at the base of the hotel. One thing you should check for, if there is a school function. We found kids hanging in the hallway.

I normally stay closer to downtown, but the room rates south of Queens Park were very expensive for the dates I was in town. I decided to try out the Holiday Inn. The most positive thing about my stay was the staff. I arrived around 9:00am and they were able to accommodate me with a room right away. Thank you! The biggest negative was probably the room quality. The room was very dated. This hotel could use a refresh (They did say plans for an update are in motion). Overall it's not a bad pla... Read more

Good parking ($20) extra. Couple of eating places on the ground floor. 12th floor was good, quiet. Room clean, bed comfortable. Walking distance to Kensington Market, Bloor Hot Docs movie theatre. And walk to 'Aunties and Uncles' for your breakfast. Try the home made ketchup. Then walk back and crash! Parking good till midnight on day of check out. Will stay here again

Basic hotel, rooms are specious and clean, but that??s pretty much it. The property is dated, and gives you a feeling of the early 80??s . Free WIFI is limited to e-mails and such. No room safe , you have to take a safe at the reception and that??s means you need to take out your valuables in front of the staff. The location is good , but there are better hotels in the area , with a reasonable supplement you can do much better , breakfast is good value for money.

This hotel had a very friendly and efficient staff. We had booked 4 rooms for a grade 8 trip. They helped with the use of public transport. The restaurant accommodated our needs each morning. The hotel is extremely close the a subway stop that services line 1 and 2. You can get anywhere in the city. I had students leave some papers in the hotel and the staff was amazing to scan the paper and send them to me. I really can't say enough about how above and beyond the staff went for our group. I have stayed in many holiday inn hotels and this was definitely the most run down. it was ok but thats it. bath was dirty and black marks everywhere. and very strange to put curtains in that you cant close so you have togo in the bathroom to get changed and woken up by light. for $200 in parking, a night for a queen bed which was way too soft. not good, I would say the value was $100 no more. would not stay there again, nicer hotels for this money EASY. disappointing as I always saw this chai... The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. However, the elevators were absurdly slow (I called them the eventual elevators) and the ice machines were not on every level, so less than convenient. Most disturbing, one night I was accidentally locked out of my room by my roommate, who could not be awakened to let me in. While the front desk clerk was as helpful and kind as he knew how to be, he did not know where about the hard key that would allow access in case of emergen... Read more

This hotel was within walking distance to where I was having eye surgery. For some reason, I had difficulty booking this hotel and was referred to a sales manager. The manager was very understanding as to the nature of my stay and offered an excellent rate. This was unexpected so thank you Ian! We had a quiet room on the top floor which was clean with comfortable beds (which was appreciated as I slept during the afternoons following the surgeries).

I like IHG and usually stay there. We had a show to go to downtown and this was a pretty good option. Room was okay for the location, but the bed my wife and I slept in dipped into the middle and both of us did not have a great sleep. Let front desk know and they said they would rectify it. Hopefully they did. Good restaurants are close by and easy to get to the heart of downtown.

We stayed here for three nights mainly because of its location and because of the price. Check in was quick and efficient and our room was basic, though clean and quiet. The location of this hotel is great. Within walking distance of all the fancy shops on Bloor, and funky Koreatown. We are avid walkers and walked all the way down to the waterfront. I must say that the housekeeping staff were outstanding. I feel terrible because I normally leave a tip, but in our haste to depart we forgot to ... Read more

Very basic hotel. Nothing fancy. Including the "wifi" devices connect only to loose the connection every 30 seconds. They tell you at check in that the basic wifi is free. We think they purposely make the basic wifi unusable so you'll pay for the faster speeds. Save your money and got to the Tim Hortons up the street for great coffee and great (free) wifi. Parking is 22 CAD a day. Not terrible for city parking, but seems high for how far away you actually are from the city center. Big positive... Read more

We've never stayed here before, but we were coming to Toronto for a concert and the hotels we normally stay at were either booked or the prices were so inflated that we decided to explore other options. The price was definitely inflated here as well, but it was in our budget, unlike the higher end hotels we normally stay at. There was obviously something going on in downtown Toronto that led to the prices being jacked up at all hotels, so I won't hold this against the Holiday Inn. We knew ou... Read more

Very comfy bed. But unfortunately the curtains (drapes) wouldn't close. They were screwed in such a position they only covered one third of the the window. So as a result having an east facing window the sun came streaming in through the window in the early hours of the morning. Later in the week i devised a cunning use of the clothes clips on a coat hangar from the wardrobe. This spoiled a fairly reasonable stay in a friendly hotel.

This facility offers a safe, clean, quiet room, with free Wifi, and temperature controls which work well. The lobby is small and uninspiring. The floor hallways are tired, with old carpets. So, not a great impression. However, my room was recently renovated so things were much fresher and cleaner in the room. Please make sure to confirm you have a newly renovated room. We arrived and were rushed by friends to get going, we weren't even checked in. The front desk staff were great and helped us hurry along. They took our luggage and delivered it to our rooms, and allowed us to check in later when we came back. They were always courteous and great whenever we needed anything from them. The room and hotel are clean, but everything is a bit too basic and dated. The hallway carpets are lumpy and have air pockets. Decor seems like it is from the 90's. Towels are rough. Shower pressure was nice. Linens seemed new. We've been to three Holiday Inns in the last month, this one is the most expensive with the least amenities. Overall a bit disappointing.

We stayed here for a weekend getaway. The hotel is conveniently located on Bloor Street right near the subway. The rooms are clean although our room was a little tired. We don't recommend the Fox and Fiddle, as it's a little tired and there were a few locals at the bar that liked their booze almost as much as swearing. The waitress we had was great, but there are better choices for food. Just go for a walk. All things considered, good value for Toronto.

Front desk staff were great. Feels very tourist class, or a U of T grad residence, but the price is 4 star level. Rooms are comfortable but very 1980s, and a bit dark. No room safes. Fine if you simply need a place to rest, in a central location, and you get a good deal. Don't pay rack rate.
