Our stays at Hampton Inn Hotels are always a great experience. It feels like the comfort of our home away from home. We tried other Hotels in Sudbury and we did not like it and on our next trip we made sure to book with Hampton Inn again.

3.5 stars would have been more appropriate, but 3 will do. Our family visited this hotel for the entire first week of April of 2016. When we arrived at the hotel to check in, the front desk clerk was very courteous and professional towards us and had us in our room in minutes. The lobby area of the hotel is quite nice and is the perfect size with a variety of tables centred around a large taller table with the breakfast area off to one side. I have stayed at Hampton Inns in various locations over the years. The Sudbury hotel does not differ from other locations which are, consistently, clean, comfortable, affordable and employs excellent staff. Our beds were super comfortable and the room was very quiet. The bathroom was clean and well-stocked. I love the free breakfast which offers a variety of hot and cold choices. Upgraded to the premium internet but found that the speed still wasn't fast enough for what I needed. Good breakfast. Location is on the outside perimeter ring of the city. Not near downtown but the first hotel when coming in from Toronto, so if you are tired of driving and just want to 'get there' then this is a good location for you

"Pulled the trigger" on this while driving from WI after the Homewood Suites (situated next door) sold out and we got nervous. The reception clerk greeted us with an upgrade without us having to ask (we just became Hhilton diamond members) and automatically started telling us about food--told us to avoid the closest spot--again all voluntary before we even asked her. We appreciated this as we had driven over 600 miles. She then recommended an Italian restaurant, DiGusto, which ended up being ... Read more

This hotel offers excellent comfort and value for the price and a central location close to many stores and restaurants. Since our last visit it appears that the hotel has even upgraded the dining room furniture and the room in which we stayed. This was our 4th stay at this hotel and we have never been disappointed with the staff, the room, the facilities (gym and pool), or the breakfast. Highly recommend.

Stayed at this relatively new hotel while traveling through Canada. The hotel is full service with pool, workout room, business room, nice large rooms and baths ( the first bath I've ever used where the use of the shower doesn't fog the mirror while there is no sound of ventilation.) staff is helpful and referred us to a good restaurant.

We were pleasantly surprised with the hotel. Great service and good location. The only drawback is the lack of organized transfer/shuttle to/from the airport. Airport is approx 36km from the hotel, which is quite far and (can be) expensive. However, everything else was great. There are several restaurants nearby, a shop, gas station, ice cream shop...Overall, very positive experience.

The beds are comfortable so you will be rested when you start your day. 2 hotels share the parking lot and if they are both busy sometimes it's hard to find a spot. A typical Hampton Inn. Clean and comfortable with the standard complimentary breakfast buffet and the staff were friendly and efficient. But with a room rate of $160+ (with CAA discount and before taxes) a "good" rating becomes only average. There are a couple of restaurants located conveniently close by but the East Side Mario's located across the street should be avoided. It was dreadful.

Great location for the south end access, but nothing in Sudbury is very far away. Always friendly staff and a great breakfast. If on the run in the a..m. be sure to pick up a "breakfast on the go" bag at the front desk. Room was very clean with new furniture and decor. Bed was very comfortable and the shower worked great, which puts in top in our book. Shoeless Joes restaurant is in the same parking lot and that is very convenient and the Timmy's is a short jaunt across the road. You'll love it, try it.

The staff was friendly, however for the price I paid, the room was average. I had a jacuzzi room and there were no robes/housecoats provided. When I called the front desk to get some sent up, he informed me that they did not have any.

Everything was good just didnt realize hotel room cost so much these day. My wife and I havent traveled much in the past 10 to 15 years and the current cost of hotel rooms was a bit of a shock. Asretirees we cant afford to travel much and this recent stay to watch our grandson play his first Jr. A Hockey game with the Sudbury Wolves was a special trip but also costly on our limited pensions but that whats you do for your kids and grandkids to show support

Spent 3 nights here so got a good feel for the place. Front desk staff were great and friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. Bathrooms clean but a little tight for space I felt. Excellent choices for the breakfast buffet; more than the typical. However, I did find the scramble eggs over salty. I would rather add salt if I wanted rather than eat overly salty food I can't squeeze the salt from. Equipment in the fitness room was all in working order. Price seemed a little rich but the breakfast ... Read more

It was our first time spending the night at this hotel. Overall, it was fine. The young man who checked us in on the afternoon of Sept 26th had a dynamic, friendly personality. I'm sorry to say that the woman on the desk the next day looked like she didn't want to be there....not a good impression! The room was a bit cramped but the room had everything needed. The wifi was great. We really enjoyed the television with a crystal clear picture! Many channels were available. We appreciated... Read more

I was in Sudbury on business last week and I stayed in room 404. The front desk and accommodating and it was nice to have all amenities that I love. The housekeeper (I caught her name as Colleen) kept my room immaculate and she was extremely friendly. One thing about my job is I travel a lot and excellent customer service in hotels are a major thing for me. Hopefully anyone staying at the Hamptons in Sudbury get to deal with the great staff. And again thanks Colleen for making sure my stay was c... Read more

The staff were so welcoming and nice and the hotel is in great shape and very clean. The complimentary breakfast was wonderful and stocked. The location is ideal for slipping out to the highway with easy access. There is also a shoeless joes restaurant in the plaza.

We stayed in Sudbury for a family reunion. The Hampton inn was able to get the various room types I required I found it very clean and quiet even though they had bus tours overnight. The front desk staff was particularly helpful with my requests for special billing and for a change in room location although the hotel was full. The free breakfast included a variety of hot and cold. More than adequate . lobby had good free coffee all day.

Stayed for a weekend. Hotel was quiet despite 3 teams of hockey players. Beds are incredibly comfy, hotel is clean. Breakfast has lots of choices and hot items changed slightly each morning which was nice for some variety! Complimentary Wifi sucks- didn't work for anyone in our group all weekend.

I have been a Hampton Inn fan for as long as I can remember but one little incident has forced me to voice displeasure at Hilton. I spent Monday night at the Sudbury Hampton Inn and found myself in need of a room again in Sudbury for Wednesday night. I had their phone number still on my phone Wednesday afternoon so I called while driving from Sault Ste Marie, I went through to the desk in Sudbury, told them I'd had a great night Monday and could they put me up again that night. I gave them the l... Read more

This hotel is nicely located, extremely clean, and has exceptional rooms with monster beds. Easy parking, rates are competitive, friendly staff. The breakfast was really well-prepared and set in a beautiful dining room. The highlight of the visit was the welcoming by the front desk person, who gave us a great description of Sudbury, including the quality of the taxi and bus services, and how university students can navigate the town. This guy was the best. As a matter of fact, the Hilton chain ... Read more

Very nice hotel for the price. (Received a Laurention University family visit discount). They sometimes have gluten free bread in the morning which must be asked for but not all the time. Stay off the first floor, it's noisy.

We always return to this hotel when in Sudbury. It's very clean - lobby, hallways, rooms - and the service is top notch! Parking is easy and there's a choice of restaurants close by - one in the parking lot. The breakfast which comes with the room is excellent with many choices - hot & cold!

Check-in was the smoothest I have ever experienced. The breakfast was delicious. The hotel was in a great location, close to restaurants and the room was clean and comfortable. I travelled here on business, that's why the price of the room wasn't an issue, but I have to say if it was personal I would of stayed somewhere else as it was a higher cost.

It was okay. Clean. Bed linens smell of bleach. I don't like that smell. Walls are thin. Could hear the bathroom from next door. Thermostat is weird. Air conditioning kept coming on. Loud. Could probably have found as nice for cheaper but can't drive in the dark.
