Stayed here one night for a hockey camp/tryout with my son. The lobby area is nice and modern and updated. We stayed in the tower area. The room was just fine. Your typical Holiday Inn. For some reason I was not able to adjust the heating and cooling in our room so I was a little chilly but it wasn't bad enough to call the front desk. I just dealt with it since we were only staying the one night. The walls are very thin and we were near a conference room that the occupants left the door o... Read more

The hotel is a little dated but I do understand that the staff has no control over that. It's up to the owners to put some of the money they are making back into renovations. Small updates are done here and there. Overall a very nice visit. The pool area is amazing. Huge pool, dry sauna and steaming hot whirlpool. The lobby area is also beautiful. The guest room that we stayed in was older but very nice and extremely clean. Kayliegh checked us in at the front desk and was extremely accommod... Read more

We stay here whenever we pass through, usually once or twice a year, with our twins, who are now toddlers. It's always our first choice in Sarnia. The location is great; as soon as you're over the bridge, you're there. About 5 minutes away, there's a playground / park on the water with a food truck that's great for blowing off steam. It's a big place for families, but it's almost completely soundproof. Kids run through the halls at all hours of the night, but we've never heard them. The pool ... Read more

As a family we were invited to attend a reception in a nearby town, on the May 21st long weekend. We required three double rooms for the Saturday night. Not any problems since we booked well in advance. One small request. Since we had three parties driving for four hours before the 2.PM reception time, how 's our chances of getting at least one room a bit earlier. Like maybe 12.30PM so we could we could freshen up a bit. We called the front desk a few days before our arrival, and Lynn heard and ... Read more

We stayed here with our spring hockey team and it was a pretty good experience. We were in the older part and rooms really need to be renovated. The bathroom had patch work on walls, ceiling, lamp shade had stains on it? Like being on the first foor as you can park in front of your patio door and bring your luggage in. Pool was large enough for our team and work out room was perfect for me. No comp breakfast so we went out as we heard from teammates that the restaurant wasn't good. Staff we... Read more

The hotel is close to the start of 402 highway and Point Edward. Facility is a bit old but clean. The good feature is the pool at 2nd floor with a good view and light from ceiling and side glass. The hotel rate does not include breakfast.

I stayed one night on the second floor of this hotel. I was supposed to stay for a second night but had to leave Sarnia the next day late afternoon because I didn??t want to be caught in the impending snow storm the next morning to Detroit Airport. Anyway, Holiday Inn Sarnia was nice to just charge me the rate for Day Use. Hotel location: After driving from Detroit past the Canadian immigration checkpoint at Sarnia one cold wintry late night, it was a relief to find Holiday Inn Sarnia just mi... Read more

We had not planned on stopping in Sarnia Ontario. We were all tired and as we approached the bridge to the US and saw the extreme lines, we decided to call it a night and cross the bridge in the early morning. Very friendly and efficient front desk help. We requested a room in the older section of the motel on the second floor to overlook the bridge. Rooms were clean with all the amenities you would expect from a Holiday Inn. The only thing we noticed were dirty windows and door handles on ... Read more

We have stayed here twice before as a stop half way to lake country north of Toronto. We've always stayed in the older section since its cheaper than the newer "tower" section. While renovated, the rooms still shows their age but that has never been a problem or detracted from the stay. This time the room just felt a bit more "worn out" than previous rooms. Of greater concern however was security. The swing latch that most hotel rooms have had been modified by someone. The "ball" end mount... Read more

I was here for a conference in April. The room was a decent size, newly decorated and clean. The food at the conference could have been a bit better. Sandwiches were a bit 'bunny' so to speak and the banquet meal was okay. The staff was friendly but the most important thing is that the rooms are clean and the location is good.

Having stayed in a number of Holiday Inns across Western Ontario, this one offers what you would expect from the chain. Clean, comfortable spacious rooms with comfortable beds. This hotel has 2 different "areas" - the tower with more traditional hotel set up, elevators etc. The other half of the hotel attached to the conference centre is only 2 stories and has the advantage of being able to park right by your room, but the disadvantage of stairs only if you're on the second floor. Recently stopped in Sarnia and decided to stay at the hotel. Rooms are ok a little out dated but what it lacks in decor it makes up for in customer service. The bartender at the little pub was fabulous.

I am a frequent guest at the Holiday Inn but I was disappointed in this stay. The room was comfortable enough but the common areas are looking worn and the breakfast buffet was poor, showing a real lack of effort in both food quality and cleanliness. I'm hoping this was just a bad week but if not I'll be looking for another option in Sarnia

We had not been away all summer so was really looking forward to attending a friends wedding in Sarnia. We had a very large room with a king bed. Bed comfortable and the pillows were perfect. I am a picky pillow person and usually bring my own but I slept great. We had a small living room which was cozy to sip wine. The two person Jacuzzi in our livingroom/bedroom was perfect, again for sipping more wine. The bathroom was spacious. Like previously stated in most reviews the rooms look a ... Read more

I spend several days during the summer in Port Huron, but make the hour and a half drive home the same day. This time, I decided to spend the night over the bridge in Sarnia. The hotel is right off of the 402 via the Front St exit, right after the bridge. I was in the older section, but it is very nice and renovated. We were attending a wedding in Sarnia and decided to spend the night. We requested early check-in and were delighted that our room was ready at noon when we arrived. Check in was quick and professional and we were directed to drive down to the tower entrance to be closer to our room. I rarely do reviews, but this was by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The only positive was the restaurant, which was amazing. It was so bad that I had to take pictures as people would have assumed i was exaggerating how bad it was. - Rust all over vanity mirrors and lights - sink was clogged and wouldn't drain - bathroom door was so close to toilet that you needed to step into the bath tub to swing it closed from inside the bathroom - toilet seat was corroded and looked like it had ... Room was clean, well furnished, very quiet. Staff was exceptional. I had an emergency situation where I needed to go to the hospital early in the morning of the last day of my stay. The hotel called me a cab and paid for the cab to and from the hospital. They were amazing, very kind and understanding. The hotel is located close to restaurants, but has a restaurant on site. I only used the bar on the first day of my arrival, and the bartender was terrific.
