Great location, friendly, helpful staff. Breakfast eggs Benedict could use some work. Why do hotel restaurants put loads of manufactured "home fries" on their plates. 90% of these potatoes probably end up in the trash. Very wasteful.

Great location for accessing downtown. Service and staff were very good especially at the front desk. Room was a good size and comfortable with a good bed, but had the smallest bathroom I have seen in a hotel in quite a while. A definite one person bathroom. Restaurant on site was decent and easy to access. Parking was at Market Square but there is easy access directly into the hotel. If you have the option, book the room with breakfast included. We booked into the Hilton for a romantic night while we were in New Brunswick They asked if we wanted to upgrade to a harbour view so we jumped at it. The view was the brown inner harbour water and the pump mill stacks We spent nights in a few hotels while we were there and the Hilton was the worst of them all They even charged us 1.13 for every local call we had and then slipped the bill under our door in the middle of the night Would not recommend this hotel to anyone Specially as its rated ... The Hilton Saint John is clean and I enjoyed the fitness room, but the next time I am in St. John on business, I will try something else. There are other options a little further out from the harbour - a couple of minutes downtown by cab, but no need to pay for downtown parking. Amenities are minimal - you'll even need to leave the hotel to find a national newspaper. I booked a room on a "club floor", as no other options were available online. Not quite up to Hilton standards. Lots of little things, like the power outlet that switches off with the lights so that your phone does not charge overnight, older bathroom and shower, AC coming on and off all night with no way of leaving the fan on, etc. We thought that the location would be great, but the promised view was disappointing, with views (mostly) of the car park. We had a wonderful time during our stay in Saint John, in large part because of our choice of this Hilton hotel. As first timers, we found it easy to reach from the highway approach to town. This was a plus for someone who gets frequently gets lost in his own small town. This hotel was extremely nice. It was very clean and modern. All the staff took pride in making sure we had our needs met. The rooms were a very good size. Everything was well stocked. The Hilton is located at water's edge on Saint John Harbour. There is no better location in the city. Great views of the high and low tides from our windows. Inside passages to adjacent shopping, numerous restaurants, the New Brunswick Museum, the City Market, and more when needed. The rooms are good-sized and clean. Hotel staff is attentive. While I do not recommend the breakfast buffet, the onsite York Restaurant serves an excellent dinner (we ate their twice).

I haven't always been impressed with Hiltons elsewhere in the world, but this is an excellent one. It's in a superb position, right on the harbour with the boardwalk running round it, with great views, and direct access to the shopping centre at the back from the basement. We really liked the view from our room (601) over the harbour. Our room was large, well equipped and very comfortable: the only criticism is that there were a couple of minor maintenance issues in the bathroom. Breakfasts were... Read more

We stayed here as a family (2 adults, 2 kids, and 1 dog) in August 2016. The room was quite large and had plenty of room for the dog's crate. It said queen size beds when I booked, but the beds really looked like doubles to us. Our view of the water was nice. Hotel lobby was a bit sparse with no concierge. Self parking is expensive at $18/day. Pool was adequate but small and the water was a bit cloudy and had a green tint. Kids had a good time swimming though. Location is great - within walkin... From here, you can climb the hill from the port either by walking outdoors, or by using the escalators in the market across the street and then choosing an enclosed skywalk into the town. There was black mould in the corners of the bathtub/shower, not that appealing that's for sure. Hilton in name only, this location is tired and unclean. Our tv was not operational and although the service staff were very helpful, our tv would be better served as a boat anchor in the Saint John harbour - invest in some new televisions. Our carpets were soiled and put off an odour of wet dog. Again, a simple fix to have the carpets cleaned on a semi annual basis - our room smelt like a gym locker room; and that is being favourable in our review.
