I booked into this hotel for 2 nights. In the 1st evening, I told the desk that my air conditioner does not work. The Duty Manager himself came, after playing around with the controls, he declared the problem fixed. Of course it was not. My wife and I have to endure a warm night. The next morning, again I informed the front desk and went out for the day. Returning in the afternoon, I found the room unbearably hot as it was facing the sun and there was no improvement to the air conditioner. Tonig... Read more

No wonder they always have rooms available. People only stay here if everything else in town is booked up. Rooms are old, smell of smoke. Plastic wrap on the box springs.Old bedspreads! What hotel in this day and age uses bedspreads. Desperate need of an updating or demolish the place and start over! Not real clean. Would not stay here again. EVER!!

Last minute decision ‚?? couldn‚??t afford to be choosy. In town for a funeral, made a last minute choice to stay in Richmond to avoid Vancouver's horrendous traffic snarls. This was the only hotel under $200 so we took it. The desk staff were friendly and helpful but the hotel itself needs some work. The elevators - at least one of the two was always broken (see photo). Stayed here to be close to airport because we were leaving early in the morning. Dropped off luggage and went to drop off the rental car. The shuttle is free but it took 25 minutes without any stops and no traffic to get back to the hotel. We booked for the next morning because the front desk told us it was less than 15 minutes and in the morning it was about 10 minutes. I am not sure what route the evening driver chose to take but it was an inconvenience. There is a restaurant on site ... Read more

We stayed her after a cruise and before our flight out the next day. Arrived before check-in and one of our rooms was ready and we were able to stash all our luggage. The desk men were helpful and friendly. The halls are plain and dingy but room had been updated with many amenities. It did have a slight odor when we arrived but left the AC running while we were out and it was not noticeable when we got back. The room was a little small for four adults and luggage but we managed. I stayed recently at the Travel lodge as I had an early morning flight. It is conveniently located near YVR and has a airport shuttle bus which was reliable for the early morning start. I very was disappointed by the room. It was very outdated and in serious need of a full refurbishment. Easy access to the airport (YVR) as it has a regular shuttle service with no extra cost. Rooms are big but look old and aren't the nicest you may find out there. Service was good though. For the quality of the hotel it should have been cheaper. Don't expect a fast reliable wifi signal.

My wife & I flew to Vancouver recently, and stayed 1 night on our arrival and 1 night on departure. Both nights the rooms were very comfortable, we slept well both nights, and the hotel is very convenient to get to and from the Vancouver International Airport. This hotel has very competitive rates, and we weren't kept awake by the sound of aircraft.

Also, all of the vending machines were not filled - nothing was in them. We could not even but a soda after a 10 hour trip. The location is close to Hwy 99 which takes you up to Vancouver and there is a Tim Hortons just around the corner. I didn't have to park here but there was ample parking it seemed. So a recap: Good: minutes from airport helpful, professional staffing fast check-in ample free parking adequate room size quiet bargain price Bad: uninviting lobby dingy hallways room needed new paint on the walls worn room furniture soft bed (soft as in worn out mattress) no room safe (some rooms do) not much near... Our flight arrived from Hong Kong at 9:30pm and we departed the next day at 8am so we just needed something close by for a quick overnight stay. The hotel was close to the airport and there is Moxie's next door so if you were like us and needed to taste and drink western food it was great to walk over plus in the morning Tim Hortens was also walking distance. The free shuttle to the airport in the morning saved us some cash which was nice. We arranged it for 6:15 and it was there right on tim... Read more

We stayed one night at the start of our vacation and will return at the end of the trip. While the lobby is quite nice, our room and the other facilities definitely need updating. We were on the 4th floor. Staff were all very nice and efficient. There is no business centre, but front desk staff printed our boarding passes at no charge. The restaurant is being renovated, so we went across the street to Moxie's for a glass of wine (music way too loud in the lounge) and then to the strip mall ... Read more

This hotel is okay for somewhere to sleep overnight! Not all that. Hotel hallway smells of mould, cigarette smoke and hallway is narrow too! Needs renovation. The actual room is good size, neat, and Free shuttle to and from airport.

Wow. I travel a tremendous amount to BC for business, I generally stay at Sandman hotels, clean and reliable. I had to make a quick trip from Victoria to Vancouver for three days. I looked for rooms late and most were full. I did find the Travelodge airport available, it said newly renovated and I knew it's location, right beside a Sandman, of course. In any event, to make a long story short, there was a lineup of ten waiting guests to check-in. There was one attendant working the counter. Two c... Read more

Stayed here for a night as had early flight the following morning. Excellent shuttle service with friendly and helpful driver. If you want to go into Vancouver you can take the bus back to the airport to get the sky train. Moxies restaurant attached to the Sandman next to Travel lodge is excellent with good food and reasonable prices. Room very quiet and dark so not disturbed by noise and light pollution The hotel is dated but was very clean and staff very friendly. Downsides are Poor ... Read more

It was a pretty out dated hotel but clean and basic we had hoped for there to be lots of stuff to do in Richmond B C but there wasn't much to do to waste the day away unless you want to gamble at the casino or ride the sky train :) the town of Richmond did have a seasonal night market which was free except they hook you into buying a coupon book for $6.50, it made a good souvenir ;). The shuttle bus to the airport was quick but dropped us off at the end of the air port all in all pretty basic b... Read more

This hotel is very budget and needs a huge facelift. The bedding and room decor needs updating as it makes the room look tired. Staff are friendly and helpful - someone came to our room to help fix the TV, they also let us print some booking details. The free shuttle was 15 minutes late. The jacuzzi had hairs floating on top so we decided to give the pool a miss. The 'fitness room' shouldn't be advertised as such as it was a tiny room with two machines in. Only stay here for the close proxim... Read more

Clean rooms, with quick check in made this a good place for me. Short shuttle ride to airport in the morning. The rate was reasonable too. One negative is that the on site restaurant was closed, but Denny's was a short walk away.

Yes they have free parking with a room purchase for up to 2 weeks but must be purchased directly with the hotel. They have also a free shuttle to YVR and pickup, just call the hotel to see what time the the bus is scheduled to arrive. The rooms are clean and the hotel offers a swimming pool and hot tub

We rented two rooms before our out of town trip. I booked the rooms for a few reasons one was our flight left at 4am the other reasons was the free shuttle to air port and the stay and park which is a great deal. The other reason we booked was because or the two different restaurants on site. Which we thought was nice being we don't know the area at all. And we were traveling with 5 kids a family restaurant sounded great to us. Unfortunately when we booked not one told me they where closed down... Read more

We stayed one night here in a standard two bed room. First impression of the hotel and our room was that its dated and could use a renovation. Cleanliness of the room was average; there were short hairs (like someone had shaved) in our shower. Likewise, towel had a strand of hair in it. The Skytrain station, Bridgeport, is a 20 minute walk away along busy streets. There is, however, a bus station close to the hotel. Shuttle drivers weren't the friendliest and will ask you for tips. We felt so disturbed to be in such a mismanaged airport property of a fairly respectable chain, fortunately just for one night. There is stinky smell in the room and in the hallway. When asking for an envelope from the front desk, they don't even have it. I would pick another 3* Vancouver airport hotel in future.

We have stayed here a couple of times, as it's a good budget hotel close to the airport. The caveat is that is has to be booked at a budget rate to be good value. I recently reserved a king business room for $138, which was about what we had paid on a previous stay. When we checked in, we discovered that I had booked the room for the following day in error. The hotel was able to accommodate us, but the rate charged was almost double the reserved rate. We were given a room on the second floo... Read more

For a hotel near an airport it is good. Fridge safe clock radio and working area in room clean. No breakfast included. Restraurant in building closed for renovations. Very quiet on 11 floor. Walk in price not bad if you say CAA

It's an old hotel now. Maybe 10 years ago it had its days but now they need major renovations everywhere but the worst is the stintch of cigarettes starting from the elevator and some of the floors. Some people even smoked inside the elevator coming from their smoking floors and when I said to him what the hell? He threw it on the elevator floor and stomped it. This is the kind of people you have here. Almost always you get what you pay for and you will be fooled by Web pictures.

It's cheap and situated close to the airport with a free shuttle. The rooms are clean and stayover service is good. They still use old school bedspreads instead of triple-sheeting like most hotels do now, which is a little disconcerting. The room is fairly quiet as long as your window's shut, considering you're directly in the YVR flight path. The restaurant was under reno's while I was there but there's a Moxie's at the Sandman right next door. I didn't use the indoor pool although I could sm... Read more

Visiting Vancouver for the 4th time in less than a year, picking a hotel was no brainer. Travelodge Vancouver Airport!!! Great staff. From the manager down to the last employee, they are super nice, very welcoming and quite friendly (they remember their customers). This time, I had the privilege to check-in while Karim (one of the managers there who is an awesome person) was standing behind the check-in desk overlooking the smooth check-in process. He recognized me as a returning client bef... Read more
