The ten minute commute from Vancouver Airport (YVR) was perfect after our ten-hour flight, although we were thankful for our hire car's built-in navigation, as the driving route double-backs on itself a little, which is not totally intuitive to weary travellers (the hotel also offers a shuttle service to and from YVR). We were met at check-in by an equally weary receptionist, but the formalities were straightforward in the end, and we were quickly upstairs sampling the two types of pillow on of... Read more

Made the plan to go to a girl retreat in vancouver at the last minute for my birthday. Not knowing there was a hockey game on. Wanted to stay downtown for convenience but there was no vacancies. Holiday inn was the last place to get two rooms back to back. We were so lucky it was. So positive things - rooms are extremely clean, staff is quite friendly, and oh the continental breakfast had so many choices Best thing trip was on weekend and room was very quiet. RM507. We booked a day room on the basis of being in transit and with a 10 hour stop over we needed somewhere to rest for a while and leave luggage while we explored Vancouver. Shuttle bus from the airport was quick, 15 mins to hotel on way to the hotel as the driver has to go around a road system and drop at another HI 1st, on way to airport only 5 minutes. From the hotel it is only a 5-10 min walk to the Skyride if you want to go into Vancouver. It is an 'up and coming' area so a bit run down the w... Read more

Typical Holiday Inn Express hotel, Rooms clean and adequately furnished and serviced. Hotel also offers an adequate complimentary breakfast served in a multi use breakfast room cum lounge. While close to the airport with an airport shuttle service, the hotel is inconveniently situated in a semi industrial area with virtually no shops and minimal dining facilities within reasonable walking distance of the hotel. As such we suggest the hotel is only suitable for visitors requiring an overnig... Read more

We stayed here for 2 nights in room 505. Room was spacious, very clean and the bed was comfortable. We didn't hear any air traffic or vehicle noise from the road at the front or back of the building. The hotel runs a free airport shuttle service to and from the airport every 30 mins. I would stay here again. Coffee & tea is available 24 hours down by the lobby area. Stayed at this hotel for one night and it wasn't a good experience. The room smelled funny, it was VERY dated and too expensive for the service received. The fan was loud and didn't let us sleep. The hotel seemed short staffed (there seemed to be only 2 people working). Also, essentials such as toilet paper were not stocked up. This hotel really needs to be updated. I selected this hotel based on the high number of positive reviews on TripAdvisor, however, I don't believe those are accurate.

Very pleased that we chose to stay at this hotel. It's a little way from downtown Vancouver, but close enough to Bridgeport station for us to be able to ditch the car and get to downtown in half an hour. Also close to the airport and has a few restaurants within a mile. Decent laundry facilities and a clean, comfortable, well-appointed room.

Prices in Vancouver for hotels this week are through the roof. Looking for a quick overnight rest stop. Nothing special here. A basic HIE. Same rooms, same service, same food. Shuttle from airport: Timely and as advertised. Beware there are two IHE's nearby. Make sure you ask the driver before you get on the wrong one. Check in swift, prompt and efficient.
