We stayed at this property for two nights in April 2016 as two couples. The bell staff was great and always very friendly. Check in was easy and efficient and rooms were clean. Special shout out to the bartender (didn't catch his name) who turned on the Raptors game for us and catered to all of our needs. Food was great in the restaurant and I would recommend the poutine nachos, yum! We stayed in a room on the 1st floor of the hotel which offered a city view and was surprisingly very quite. Only... Absolutely loved our stay at the QC Marriott. The main reason was the wonderful staff....all at the front desk, concierge(Xavier), kitchen/bar staff, doormen, housekeeping. Top to bottom, they could not have been more helpful or friendly. Seemed more like a boutique hotel than a large chain. Great location within easy walking distance of the old city. Request a room facing the gate. Breakfast buffet had a nice selection of food. Would definitely stay here again. If not planning on using your ca... Read more

Sited right outside st jeans gate this is as close as you can get without being inside the old walled city. Parking is in a covered lot right next door. The staff are very friendly and the breakfast was very good, buffet style. However, why'd outpatient hotels always charge extra for parking, for Internet access and for breakfast. Once this is all thrown in, 2 rooms for 2 night was just under $1000. I cannot justify this cost

I stayed at the Marriott for the May 24 long weekend and it was fabulous. For the price and location (right outside old town) you can't find a better deal. The staff are incredible and have my highest praise, particularly Simon who went out of his way to make our trip memorable. The rooms are standard for a hotel, spacious, lots of natural lighting, all in all good. But stay here for the location, staff and price!

Cannot ask for a better location when staying in Quebec City. It's pretty much in the center of everything. We had a room with a view of Place d'Youville...that was just great. The staff was unbelievably helpful and very friendly (a nice change). I recommend this hotel without a doubt!!

The location of the hotel is absolutely perfect and ideal for exploring old Quebec city. The staff here are amazingly friendly and very helpful. The only draw back I would say I have, were the size of our room. I felt it was a little cramped, with that being said ...how much time do you spend in your room anyway? the underground parking is right beside the hotel, so super easy to locate and use $18.00 per day

The location of the hotel was perfect to explore Vieux Quebec City and the surrounding neighbourhoods. Being an old commercial building with several challenges the designers have done an excellent job in reconfiguring it into a hotel. The digital check-in done the day before meant all I had to do was collect the room key. My early checkin request was fulfilled but not the room type (due to my very early arrival). As it turned out the room was fine and I did not see the need to change. The room ... Read more

This hotel is right outside the walls of Old town. Great location. Staff was very friendly and service was good. Breakfasts were in need of of some organizational changes. They were swamped each morning. Not enough staff to handle the service issues. But they tried to keep the flow going. I'd booked the QC Marriott because it looked good on paper for a short post-conference holiday with my wife. A fellow conference-goer told me this property was her favourite of any hotel in Canada, so we'd lucked into booking it (apparently it used to be a Courtyard Marriott?), and it's easy to understand why it was so highly recommended! The Hotel is located close to almost everything. It is convenient to paid parking and access many of the local attractions. The front entrance is somewhat unconventional at least for a Marriott. To check in you have to unload on the street in front of the hotel. The Bellmen are very helpful in regard to luggage and information.

Our stay at this hotel had to be one of the best experiences we have ever had at any hotel anywhere. The location, personnel, food and facilities were magnificent. Everyone was so helpful and friendly, from the front desk to the restaurant and everyone else. The facilities were immaculate. The food was great as was the service. I could go on for quite sometime how wonderful this hotel was and would highly recommend this to anyone.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel last week. Our room was clean and nicely decorated. The hotel itself is located in the heart of Old Quebec and is within walking distance of all of the major attractions. I would recommend that future guests call ahead to request a room with a view, as our room looked into the neighbouring office tower, which was disappointing! Internet access in the rooms and parking costs extra.

Great place, location is amazing if you plan on visiting the old city. If you prefer a quiet room ask for one that isn't facing Honoré-Mercier because it is quite loud at night. My husband and I decided to head up to Quebec City for our anniversary as it's probably one of our favorite places to go. Firstly, the location of this hotel is ideal!! Literally just steps outside the walled city and much easier to access than the hotels on the other side of the wall. The Valet parking is great, just drive up and the very friendly and informative young men will take care of your car and you won't need it until you're checking out. We recently stayed at the Marriott for three nights for vacation. We had a 2 room suite that was great since we were traveling with a 12 year old. The location of the hotel is ideal for enjoying the city, just outside of the fortification and close to everything. The staff was very accommodating without exception. The morning breakfast was lovely. We drove and they pointed us to a parking garage across the street that was much lower priced than valet service at the hotel. The exchange rate of ... Read more

This is at best an old fashioned Courtyard. Yes, you walk in and look at the modernized lobby and you say wow, then you walk through the maze to get into the elevator and you already anticipate what is coming, a room that has been tried to be modernized with furniture but the beds are old and squeak, now think when was the last time you were in a Marriott bed that squeaked. The A/C is old, noisy, temperamental, does not keep the right temperature. The personnel I came in contact with was pol... Read more

In honesty, this was not my first choice of hotels in what became a last minute "let's get away from the heat and humidity of SE Virginia" vacation. Because it was last minute, the hotels in the Old City were all booked solid, or wanted both arms in addition to the leg. So, the Marriott -- our plan B -- became our hotel...fortunately! I consider myself to be reasonably well-traveled, and I can say without reservation that the staff make this hotel the gem it is. Everyone on the staff -- and I... Read more

I have stayed at Marriott hotels since my traveling days at work. I always found them very comfortable and the services always fit my needs. I traveled to Quebec City on vacation was amazed. The help from the doorman to the front desk to restaurant went out of their way to do whatever you needed. Their recommendations of restaurants were right on. The hotel is right across the street from the old town so the location was great. I will definitely stay hear again.

The quality of the service was better than what we've experienced at fine hotels (like Ritz Carlton). That is what sets this place apart and what earned the 5 star rating from me. The Marriott Quebec sits quietly at the entrance to the old walled city. This is not a high rise or imposing hotel, rather it is rather small and cozy. The reception is typical Marriott in that it is American style, chic, modern, elegant, with small nooks and crannies to sit, chat, have a drink or simply work on a laptop. Upstairs is the stylish bar area for those travellers who wish to drink or just meet friends. Indeed, this Marriott isn't anything to write home about in terms of its grand... Read more

You could either park at the daily parking for $20/day with no in and out access or $30/day valet with unlimited access. The hotel itself is very well maintained. The staff is exceptional!!!. David was very helpful. The only downside was that there was a charge of $9.95/day or $12.95/day for internet depending on the speed.
