Good location for access to train station. Not so good location if wishing to be central to downtown. Staff were lovely, rooms clean. Laundry suffice for general needs. Breakfast was okay at best. Personally found it contained too many carbohydrates - bagels, muffins, bread, buns, waffles. Limited choice of cereal. Of you like carbs though then there is plenty of choice. However, i guess it served a need in that if provided breakfast and it would by all means suit others more. Would recomme... Read more

Party of 3, 1 amputee in a wheelchair. We requested an "accessible" room. Even got a call from the frontdesk, to confirm our needs. However: There are no rooms with handrails in bathroom, except in the tub. They had the courtesy of leaving a bathchair, but our amputee could not use it for lack of handrails. However, she was able to use the public washroom, near thelobby and close to our room. There are handrails there. Complimentary breakfast was the best I have had in my many travels, wether... Stayed here for business for one night. The check in and out was efficient, room was clean but the wall was really thin and for some reason the people in the upstairs floor was very noisy, fortunately it was a very tiring day for me so didn't have much trouble falling asleep despite the noise. Parking was complimentary, so was the breakfast, though the choices was limited. They were nice enough to allow a late check out till 1pm so that was kind. The hotel seemed well run by polite and helpful staff, and the complimentary breakfast was fresh and simple. The one exception seemed to be the condition of the hotel. The most impressive thing about my stay was the size of the rooms. Tons of space, even for 4 adults. The bathroom was also extra large, bigger than the majority of hotels. Having the extra sink in the room was very convenient, along with the mini fridge and microwave. Very clean facilities, excellent staff. Check in process was extremely efficient. Location is super easy to downtown...about 5 minute drive. Highly recommend this great property.

I had to bring my mother to Riverside for eye surgery and chose this as potentially convenient. The Inn was clean, the staff friendly and they also have a special rate for medical appointments. There was underground parking with handicapped parking at the elevator so this was great. I would definitely recommend.

We visit tons of Hampton inns and are reward members. The staff at this hotel are great but the hotel itself is very "pedestrian". They have done there best and it is good value but the building itself is what it is. Rooms are large. Would be excellent for wheelchairs. Nothing out of the ordinary otherwise.

The location is in the middle of nowhere. If you don't have a car it's taxi for sure. Breakfast in the morning is provided, very average fare. No restaurant service available for lunch or evening meal. The nearest is a mediocre restaurant bar at the Marriott. Amazing 2 large hotels with next to no food service. Approximately 4 blocks away is the St Laurent shopping centre with the usual fast food places. The room was comfortable and clean, however the desk was placed in such a position that the ... This Hampton Inn was comfortable but us definitely showing it's age. The lobby of the hotel looks like it has been updated, but once you make it to your room it's clear that they haven't been touch since at least the 80s. Aesthetics aside, the hotel is comfortable and the suites have good amenities - a small kitchenette, mini-fridge and microwave in the room. The hotel is in a convenient location, close to the highway but there is not much nearby in terms of restaurants.

This Hotel was top of the line and price on par. It was clean the staff was very courteous and friendly. I have to leave by 3 am and even at this time of the morning the staff was more then helpful with a smile of their face. I had forgotten to bring my receipt home with me when I called them to get if faxed I received it within min of my request. I can not say enough about this hotel, I would recommend for a long or short stay.

Clean, friendly hotel within minutes of most Ottawa sites. Walkable, on busline and good parking facilities. The breakfast had many options and a long time frame. The rooms are huge and bright. The staff was exceptionally professional and helpful.

I booked 2 rooms since we were 6 people. Check-in and checkout was super fast with no problems. Front desk girl was friendly and very helpful. We had asked for an adjoining room, but once there, it was not adjoining, but she switched things around so we could get one. They were 2 of the largest rooms I have ever seen, that were not suites. Bathroom was huge too and very clean. Loved the fact you can get coffee in the lobby, at any time. Having cookies too, is a nice touch. My only compla... Read more

The staff was welcoming and every employee seemed genuinely courteous and helpful. The rooms were spacious, modern, and clean. Particularly appreciated the soundproofing. Lots of variety for breakfast and Hilary and her young helper were so welcoming and friendly it almost felt as if we had been invited in to someone's kitchen.

I stay at Hampton Inns a lot and this is one of the best I've seen in a long time. The rooms here are enormous compared to other hotels and even the hallways are noticeably wide. Lots of room the stretch out. Mini fridge even with small freezer inside, along with a microwave. Breakfast was well presented and I never had to wait for anything to be replenished. The staff is friendly and the place is spotlessly clean. Free underground parking with easy access to/from the highway. Good public... Read more

We booked this hotel, because it has parking included and is not far from downtown. Arrived late at night and we were immediately checked in and given our keys. The parking lot was jammed, so we were given permission to use a spot that wasn't even designated for parking. When booking we've requested for a higher floor and late check out-both were taken care for with no hassle. The rooms are super spacious and clean, there is a microwave, fridge and a coffee maker in every room. Huge bathrooms w... Read more

Stayed at The Hampton on the weekend. This is a clean safe hotel. The staff were efficient and friendly and it has a homey feel about it. Room (35190 was large and comfortable. It included a microwave, fridge and kitchen sink with cupboards and two queen beds. Also had a large bathroom. Breakfast is included along with 'all day coffee, tea and cookies'. We recommend this hotel and we have three items of constructive criticism: 1. Most guests would highly prefer coffee mugs rather than the paper... Read more

Was the perfect place to relax after an short but intense New England road trip. Generously sized room with two queen beds, the usual amenities and a wide kitchen/bar with plenty of cabinets and a sink on the 5th overlooking the main road. Zero road noise with the exception of emergency vehicles. Room had exceptionally high ceilings adding to the feeling of spaciousness and was super clean, beds soft but not too soft and overall a great and comfortable stay. Excellent staff, great breakfast, Good location in Ottawa. We had a late arrival and everything was ready and waiting upon arrival. The room was large and clean. All the staff are very friendly. Parking underground was a bonus because of the weather. The location made it easy to get onto the expressway and therefore to anywhere in the city.

Close to train station which we appreciated. Our room was quiet, spacious, and clean. We requested an upper floor location and got it. This hotel is connected to the Marriott Hotel which had restaurants and lounges. Short cab ride to Parliament Hill, Royal Canadian Mint, the National Art Gallery and the Byward Market. Very good breakfast included.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Check in was easy and very friendly. Room was massive. Very clean, Bed very comfortable, full kitchen which we didn't use. Fridge had a funny smell to it so reception got someone up and changed it out straight away. Car Park under hotel and felt safe. Laundry room which we used. Reception informed us Bus Stop 5 mins walk to catch bus into City. Breakfast was more than adequate to start the day off. Overall a very good stay and would use again and recommend.

I stayed overnight on a business trip as I typically stick to the Hilton chain where possible. Hotel interior and rooms are in desperate need of updating from the old carpet to in bathroom wallpaper. In general the room was quiet at night and clean. The breakfast was typical Hampton Inn offering but limited on hot food options. Very convenient car parking underground with direct elevator. This is a decent hotel in an isolated area just outside of Ottawa. It served our purposes for a quick stay for a conference at the adjacent facility. The only suite we had reserved was an odd room with an elevator shaft literally against the King bedroom bed. They tried very hard to find us another suitable room and eventually did. We are a family of four sharing one room with two double beds. The first night, we found the room a bit on the cold side but we adjusted the heating in the room to our liking. The thermostat is a bit outdated but at least we had one! The beds were clean and good. I found the the mattress was too firm for me personally. The staff were efficient and very friendly. The pool and jacuzzi were nice! Our children appreciated the friendly staff and the variety of foods offered at breakfast each morning!

Easy to get to when driving. Stayed for business, clean hotel, staff were very accomodating, coffee in the lobby all the time was appreciated. The room had a very strong chemical smell which I did not enjoy and I could smell it in other areas of the hotel as well. WIth so many people having sensitivities to chemicals, please use something not so obnoxious for cleaning. I stay in a lot of different hotels and this is the first time I have experienced this.
