I've used several hotels in the Nepean area but consider this the best value. For the cost the rooms are nicely appointed with great bedding, and the free breakfast room offers good variety including freshly made waffles. Other hotels nearby like the Best Western are also good, but the Days Inn costs less because it lacks a fitness facility and pool, which don't matter to me. If they don't to you either, this is a fine west end value. It's not fancy, but room quality well exceeds the cost, and w... Read more

Stayed here for a week. Good service. Continental breakfast. Friendly staff. Laundry available. Available grocery stores around as well as restaurants. Stores walking distance, close to highway. Busy location hotel was full. I would stay there again.

Good clean rooms. Quite spacious. Close to many restaurants and services. A bit pricey for a two star hotel though. Not too far by car to the downtown core. Staff very friendly and professional and helpful.

I nearly always stay at Days Inn on my quite frequent trips to the west side of Ottawa. It's comfortable and convenient, the staff are friendly and helpful. No complaints! I especially appreciate the provision of 'real' glasses to take my beverages from!

Nice hotel and very convenient if planning on shopping at the Bayshore Mall. IKEA and Globo are close by as well. There is a mini fridge and coffee maker in the 2 queen bed room. The hotel was full as the tulip festival was on that weekend. Breakfast included. Dining area is small so we took our breakfast back to our room. Comfortable beds and soft sheets. Lots of pillows too. The Loblaws across the street was great so we could get some snacks and deli meals to go. Lots of free parking. Typical ... Read more

It's always a pleasure to stay at our "home away from home". The friendly staff always make us feel welcome and comfortable. When the housekeeping staff know you by name it says something about the place.

It's always a pleasure to stay at the Days Inn Ottawa West. Many of the staff know us on sight as well as when our adult children arrive with the grand-kids. It's the little things like housekeeping adding extra glasses in the kitchen.

This hotel is showing its age but don't discount this one !! ... It has everything you need and everything works just fine ... even the Air Conditioning. A well balanced stay with a great restaurant internally connected. A moderatley priced hotel with friendly staff and maid service.

When traveling to Ottawa by car, you can easily stay here. It is located on a nice 15-20 minute drive to downtown. The Bayshore mall is 5 minutes away. The breakfast is good and with plenty of fresh choices. The reception / front desk is dated. The guy at the counter (Sanjay?) was still dressing himself while doing my check-in. That was less professional. The rooms are clean and nice. Good beds. Fast elevators and a good breakfast with fresh fruit and plenty of choice.

Stayed here during a business visit to Ottawa. Friendly, efficient staff, comfortable room, plentiful, free parking. The attached Brew Table restaurant is excellent. Wifi works well, good selection of TV channels and, should you need anything, a Canadian Tire and a Loblaws directly adjacent. Easy drive into anywhere you need to visit in downtown Ottawa. I would certainly use this hotel again - and recommend it highly.

I stayed here with my wife, daughter and parents on our recent trip to the capital for Canada Day. A great location and great value. Included a standard continental breakfast from 6-10 (waffles, muffins, cereal, fruits, fruit juices, milk, coffee, tea, toast, bagels, english muffins, boiled eggs). I saw many large families here during the breakfast. Rooms were spacious and bright. 15-20 minutes drive in traffic to parliament hill / Ottawa / Gatineau. It was a great location. The only downside i... Read more

The hotel is run down. Our room had stains and tears in the carpet and the bathroom fan did not work.. The elevators made terrible sounds and stank like a locker room. The smoking patio was flooded and had broken tiles everywhere to trip on. The wifi password did not work and the staff at the desk did not care. Police sirens went off outside all night. The air conditioning was off at breakfast so it was too hot too eat. The coffee was terrible and no selection of food to speak of. The on... Read more

We have been staying at this facility, several times a year, for four years. This is not great luxury but, for us, it feels almost like our home away from home when in Ottawa: comfortable room, comfortable bed, well appointed bathroom, excellent staff.

We have stayed in many of the higher priced, newer hotels in Ottawa, with that said this hotel was good. It was clean, beds were comfy and staff were courteous. Check in was prompt. Don't be afraid to stay here because it's a Days Inn. There are fast food restaurants close by as well as regular restaurants, the Loblaws was walkable if you need some groceries. The QWC hospital was very close as well.

Hotel was a bit dated but was clean had everything needed. Fridge in room and Internet worked well. Hotel staff was friendly. Check in/out was quick. Hotel breakfast was included and had a good variety, even had a waffle maker. Girl working the breakfast room was right on top of things. Would definitely stay here again

Nice room, and staff was super friendly and very kind. Had an issue with the fridge, but it was my fault, as I did not know how the controls worked. Hotel did not have a pool though, but that's ok. A great breakfast was included with the room booking. Great a around. :)

I have stayed here before...our company which has 30 agents travelling 3-4 nights per week. So we do BIG business for hotels and motels in the cities we serve. I got in very late Monday night, and noticed a smell in my room. But I had just finished a 6 hour drive I just wanted to sleep. In the morning I notified the front desk agent Mercedes of the smoke smell in my room she told me housekeeping would look into it and she would check back in with me when I returned from work Tuesday. The hotel itself is pretty run-of-the-mill. The hotel had trouble with it's satellite service the second night we were there so we had trouble watching the ball-game. The non-stick pads in the tub were grey. The thing that bothered me the most was that there were no access to electrical outlets. In this day and age where technology rules there are many devices that need to be recharged and outlets should be accessible without having to unplug items in the room.

We stayed here for one night only when we visited the scenic spots of Ottawa. The hotel is showing age and needs a lift. The room is clean and the ice is available at the lobby.Better take the stairs if you are rushing. The elevator is slow .You can easily see it because of the type of elevator installed in the hotel.Breakfast is included though its been crowded in the morning.Better be early when eating your breakfast.A bit far when visiting the parliament.Has ample parking and its near Mc Donald... We stayed August 13/16 and upon checking in, the very nice lady (sorry I cant remember your name) checked for our reservation, then offered us an upgrade. We were very happy, and more so when we saw our room. What a wonderful, comfortable room we were given with a Jacuzzi and all the trimmings this suite had to offer. What she did certainly made our stay extra enjoyable. Thank you.

Checked in August 26, 2016 and checked out August 28,2016. The hotel was comfortable but definetly needs a bit of upgrading, seems a little outdated but otherwise the hotel was comfortable and well maintained. The hotel is located in a convenient location as it is within walking distance to many shops and restaurants. Breakfast was a bit of a disaster each morning, they had a room that only accommodates about 25 people for a full hotel it was very packed and very limited food was available. T... Read more

My partner and I drove in from Toronto and had booked online for two nights, Friday August 26th and Saturday August 27th in order to attend our Niece's Wedding which was nearby. My partner's Goodlife Gym Membership lowered the base rate by 20%, a fantastic deal! (So we were surprised to see the final bill with additional line items of $2.88 + $.37 HST/ night for the "Destination Market Fee" or "DMF", which was not discussed with us upon booking, nor confirming the cost of the stay over the phon... I recently stayed here with four other bus drivers. Parking was ample, even with 5 coaches. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel which I didn't use. I opted instead to use the grocery store across the street. There are ample fast food restaurants within walking distance as well. Access to the downtown is near by. The room was clean and comfortable with all the basic necessities in them. The staff was very accommodating and friendly.

Decent place. Rooms are clean and quiet. Staff friendly and helpful. If you like having space ask about their suites...not much more cost but a lot more room. Only.downside was breakfast...not much variety. No meat. and the stuff u make waffles with seemed watered down. But if your looking for convenient and are budget conscious. this is the place to stay.

Overall I think it is a good hotel, for its price, though I hope its bathroom will have a little more space, and its breakfast will have a little bit more choice. Its room is clean enough, not anything that is noticeable not clean.

Hotel is easily accessed off Hwy 417 onto Moodie Drive. Ample parking with big spaces and free wifi. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Close to Bell Sens Plex and Canadian Tire Centre if you are in the area for hockey. Breakfast area is a little small and could get pretty crowded at peak times. Restaurant onsite and others within walking distance. No pool.

We just stayed overnight at the Days Inn. It was a decent hotel. It was located on a main street with a lot of eating options. It is about 10 to 15 minutes depending on traffic to downtown Ottawa. Check in was easy. The room was decent. I would stay again for the price.
